Her ears become long, backward-pointing horns that join a crown of horns around the top of her head coloured in silver. Her tail scales over in similar silver scaling. The only section of Eirika's base outfit that remains in her Vampiric form is her black and white furred cloak. Eirika's face becomes covered in a scale formation akin to a helmet, obscuring her face from view in pitch-black scale that matches up with the backward-pointing horns. Personality: INTF Religion: Areligious Life Story Birth and Childhood Eirika von Silmark is born to an Ashal Sailor and a New Regalian Harlot in the dark backstreets of a city in the region of Silmark. Eirika was ditched at a young age by her mother at a dingy orphanage. Eirika’s half-ashal traits earned her numerous bigoted remarks, she never really grew out of a furious repose when faced with such. Her name was granted to her by her carers at the Orphanage. From the age of seven she was taught to earn her keep in the orphanage, many of the children put to work learning laborious tasks, for her swiftness Eirika was tasked with running letters. She ran them from place to place, between Noble Estates and Serf villages alike. She learned to speak, and eventually to write at a Unionist Convent in the city. Eirika frequently scrapped with the other children when they made bigoted comments on her mixed-breed status, she was particularly vicious, but never really hurt anyone badly. Teenhood and early Adulthood At the age of fifteen, Eirika was cast out from the orphanage after a particularly nasty fight with the owner’s son, and was forced out into the streets in which she wandered for days. Eventually she was taken up by a particularly sympathetic criminal, on the run after robbing an Estate of some precious jewels. She stayed with him for a while, and he taught her to sneak around and be quiet, but also to fight in a more elegant manner. Through the following years she discovered that this thief was a von Kerle Vampire, taught to fear him at the Convent she was terrified, but this was swiftly quelled as he smacked some sense into her. He had not fed on her, he had no need to, but was instead intent on training her to bequeath his gift unto her. He taught her of ambition, and improving his lot in life with the gift he was given. It was not a curse, but a boon to the downtrodden, to defend oneself from injustice. Eirika was easily bought by his flashy words, and was turned to a von Kerle at the age of eighteen, coinciding with the beginnings of her training in Longsword and Saber fencing. She was swift, but clumsy at first, but she learned swiftly under the rather brutal tutelage. During this time she was also taught to roughly mend her own wounds, be it with her natural capabilities with Living Metal, or more mundane means. She was taught of swiftness and valor, but also of grace. She must do all she can to remain herself, and prove at length that the curse was not in control of her mind. She was disciplined often with this in regards. Her mentor, Dafydd of Lanark, managed to sweet-talk a small-time Noblewoman to permit the two to work under her employ, and together they amassed a healthy sum of funding to insure their travels and mend their equipment, though they had to flee the region when they were caught by the woman’s husband. During this period she was taught to care for her appearance more, to present herself well and carry herself with a lady’s grace by the Noble’s handmaidens, she straightened her back and lifted her chin with pride. Adulthood and Current Life Dafydd and Eirika parted after a surprisingly tearful departure, he was ever her mentor, and she respected him dearly, but her winds carried her to a different destination. Constantly training and proving herself in underground fighting rings and privatised duels, Eirika made a content living for herself but was always avidly hunting for more. Eirika’s travels bring her to Regalia, a known hotspot of the Vampiric, but also a land filled with skilled warriors and heroes who’s skills brought immense curiosity to her. She sought out the challenges of the city.
