They were, however, born with a malady: blindness. So sets off their journey on becoming a Staargir, where they are taken to the Helbolwen to be raised; to be the caretaker of the oussary. Whether that's by dispensing potions (alchemy), giving questionable fortunes, stitching together corpses, and the like - they occupied the city of the dead for years like this. As with Old Gods' traditions, there comes a time when the children must grow up - going through the Rite of Connections was mandatory. Brynjar was no exception to this. "For three are the conditions required to survive in bitter winter, and for three I will wander this frigid cold without. Three, too, will be the weeks I do this. The lauded swords of the charnel grounds shall not occupy my travels. The soothing warmth of this herbal concoction I will not drink. The sight that never belonged to my person will be a constant." Without the Valsung to protect the boy on his journey, the warmth of clothes and alchemy to sustain him, or his already-sightless state to guide him through winter's frost, Brynjar created, what would be considered, suicidal conditions - enough to please Bev, in His Rites. He goes through this, however, believing the connection to death in itself was crucial to his work as Staargir. Miraculous was the boy's survival, though not without its consequences in his journey. He's eventually found unconscious on the porch of the Helbolwen, several limbs frost-bitten. For worse, he's left as an amputee. For better, he's passed the Rite of Bev, successfully keeping his Soldi intact. Life continues on as per usual within the alcoves of the hallowed sepulcher, before it's raided by the coastal Throng of Baal-Url. Much like how they treat the consecrated grounds as a joke, so too did they place cruel fate about Brynjar. His conversion to Url-hood was an experiment of curing the crippled body. He's left confused for several days on end afterward, inducted into the Throng too in the meantime. The young Url escapes their clutches eventually, escaping to the wilderness of Jorrhildr where they're deigned to live by the wicked designs of his previous capturers. As years pass by, he's accepted the circumstances behind it all. Brynjar accepts it to be the fates placed upon him by The Gods, and takes Regalia as his next destination to find himself. He finds something greater than life there. "This fountain of hope, May it grace me with youth. He conducts, As his agents do play, His, foul, ode." (These Cold Hands, n.d., para. 4)

@Katiesc I've decided to shuffle some points in to round up to 10 Perception to remain faithful to his perceptiveness, in spite of its little use now. Updated Religion name to be 'Forseth eða Jaud' instead of 'an all-encompassing Oldt Fayth'. Changed Ritualist Aesthetic ability, from 'Ritualist Mythtelling' to 'Ritualist Ghostcalling' to be more thematically fitting. Also updated 'Inventory', as I name it 'Possessions' now to show items he owns, not necessarily what he carries 24/7.

@Antimreoir Removed Shielding entirely - it was an overlook of a proficiency and I rather, as much as Javelin Combat does not exist anymore, spear-hunt if the opportunity for it rises. Re-wrote some of the Life Story, it was a good reminder for me to look back at it and change - religion is, as I still do like to think it is, a big part of the character's inception.
