His hair is brown with near-black streaks throughout, often messily raised at the front and brushed back following either side of his window's peak. His first leisurely activities involved him running along the river and hassling stray bugs. ◈ | Quickly was Edrick influenced by the naval orientation of Heartland Ceardian culture, primarily by oceanography and stories told involving the Regalian Navy. These interests came secondary to regular play with his toys and fascination with tearing pages out of the books he couldn’t read. ⤫ Adolescence, ◈ | Edrick’s adolescence became the bulk of his many changes. Books trashed and pages torn became books saved and read coherently while expectations of a naval career were brought on by his mother Margoth. The idea of admiralty provoked him as a chance to fill a good role, as the will of his parents gave him the idea that he'd fail without it. In the earlier years of wonder and excitement, he prepared by training with weights alongside his father so that he could learn to better maintain his health. ◈ | His career aside, Edrick was often isolated with his parents or sister. This soon led him to venture the Shoenn's bank alone, or travel elsewhere with his mother to explore Narlas. He progressed at a speed above average when it came to learning how to use a sword with his father, showing promise to the combative side of his family. During the occasional visits from Samuel, Christopher's brother, Edrick was brought unique plants and even shown how to care for smaller flower gardens. ◈ | Along with his slowly developing interest in sailing and literature, he was offered schooling in admiralty under the Regalian Naval Academy, at 17. There at the academy would he spend countless days studying fleet movements, looking at current events and the actions of the Regalian Military while generally keeping his head in a book or paper. It was also here that he took personal interest in diplomacy to better communicate reason and decisions made during his career. ⤫ Adulthood, ◈ | By his 20th birthday, he graduated from the Imperial Regalian Naval Academy where he learned advanced fleet command such as maneuvers and practical formations of multiple ships. These years at the Naval Academy allowed him to develop good character, along with having supplied his share of critical advice and command which gave meaning to some of his proudest moments at the school. Edrick had also opted to learn combat with a rapier and other fencing weapons during his studies, of which remained his longest standing hobby and outside activity aside physical training. ◈ | Edrick spent his next few years apart from the Academy where he enjoyed a reprieve in the study of sailing, literature and yet more exercise. Following this hiatus, Edrick sought to return to admiral study and confidently made way for Silverwind against the better judgement of his family. He spent the next three years being chastised and eventually humbled for his involvement in the Regalian Naval Academy, allowing a change of character and a better understanding of Silverwind's defensive strategy. ◈ | After his experience in the pirate commune, Edrick showed a clean pair of heels out of Silverwind and back to Narlas at about twenty-five years old. In search of a more formal education, he finally ventured to the Regalian Diplomatic Academy to fulfill his interest in diplomacy and work under successful diplomats. During this time, he studied Modern Altalar in accordance with the foreign diplomats that employed him. ◈ | With yet another three years of education, Edrick finalized his education and departed from Anglia to return home and eventually make way to the Crown City as his sister did before him.
