Eclipse
Once the door downstairs had closed, all that could be heard throughout the house was the faint sound of sniffling coming from the short Sihai. Her hand slowly rose from her injured arm to brush her hair back and away from her face, a tired sigh escaping her. She'd slowly ease herself down into a seat near the pool table, letting the silence sit in around her. Her minds far away as her thoughts consumed her, a small frown on her features. What was most odd about it was the blank look on her features before a shaky breath escaped her. However, once that occurred the floodgates opened as she sobbed quietly, tucking her knees closer to herself on the couch.A strong wave of emotions seemed to happen all at once for Kai, the multitude of emotions causing her to sniffle and hiccup as she ignored the pain in her arm. She felt nothing but anger, rage, irritation, upset, and then finally just disappointment and fear that made her blood run cold. Eventually, her sobbing died down to just sniffles and the occasional gasping breath as she stared ahead at the wall. She'd sit there for several more moments, although she's unsure for how long she actually sat there in total but it had to be several minutes.
The creaking of stairs brought her out of her stupor of staring at the wall in front of her, shifting her gaze to the left at the stairwell leading up. Kai would stare at Kaze, frozen up in genuine fear and unrest which was obvious as he looked her over. The Manathar let out a worried huff before stepping further down the steps towards her as she moved her gaze back down in shame.
"Sorry if I woke you--"
"Don't worry about it. The crash and yelling woke me up earlier, got concerned when you didn't come upstairs."
"...Sorry."
A worried look fell over Kaze's face as he stepped over to sit down next to her resting a hand on her knee. He'd give a gentle squeeze of comfort which only resulted in her finally moving her gaze back to him. Her next actions threw him off guard as she turned to practically curl up against his side, reaching out to wrap her arms around his torso. What shocked him, even more, was the soft sobs coming from her. He'd blink slowly as he processed what occurred before wrapping his arms around her to tug her close, raising a hand up to run his fingers through her hair. They'd stay like that for a while as Kai began to calm down, slowly but surely.
"Let's head to bed." Kaze gently soothed her before aiming to stand up, offering his hand out to her. The Sihai took the offered hand, following after her partner at a snail's pace. Before he could fully get her to the bed she turned towards the small Loong Dragon shrine that sat in her room. Instead of stopping her, he let her go to it considering she rarely outwardly prayed for anything. It wasn't within her nature to usually do so besides lighting incenses.
As she got to the small makeshift alter, she'd get out one of the many candles she had within her home. Carefully placing it upon a small metal plate to catch the hot wax when it drained before getting a match to light said candle. Once she did that she'd take a deep breath as she quickly lit a rose smelling incense to place upon the holder near the Loong Dragon statue.
"Please stay safe and out of harm's way." Soon came her quiet prayer before she moved towards the bed where Kaze stood, waiting for her. Once she reached the bed, flopping onto the bed in a poor attempt at sleeping she was out like a light. The day's events causing her to easily pass out while Kaze tended to her previously wounded arm, making sure it wasn't even more damaged before heading to bed himself.
