((Probably gonna get a billion disagrees but #YOLO))

Ok, if any of you are familiar with what druids are, they are quite cool to play as. If you're not they are (in most cases) people (or other races) that change into...animals. Not like any animal usually 3-5 at MAX. So, I think it'd be cool if they were in massive lore. Not anybody can do this, you have to be specially trained in order to unlock you ''Spirit Animal'' the 3-5 spirit animals would be
  • Bears.
  • Foxes/Wolves (depending on a persons moral this either turn into the good version or bad version of this and the Doves/Crows)
  • Dove/Crow
Now more can be added if this get accepted and staff want more. Also, there is the ''Spirit Leader''(played by npcs until a player can fill the role) The Spirit Leader is the most powerful Druid over his/her specific animal. He/she has direct contact to the ''Grand Spirit'' (always played by a npc) the Grand Spirit is master over all druids and rests in ''Kelhk'' a heaven like place where he reigns over Spirit Leaders and other druids. The Grand Spirit ''created'' the abilities of Druids and can transform into all Spirit Animals. I won't go too in depth with the lore...oh wait...I already did XD

Now in order to become a druid here's what he/she must do:

  • Believe: He/she must believe that there is a way to do this. That is why many ''commoners'' can't be druids, they don't believe. It is also easier for Shamanistic races/peoples to become druids because they are more.....easy trusting.
  • Learn from an older druid: He/she must learn from an older more experienced druid how to change.
  • Unlock their spirit animal: When a person reaches a certain point in training they will have a vision of their spirit animal, telling them they are ready to complete their training.
Also few more rules :P:

A druid can't be a mage, and a mage can't be a druid.

More experienced druids can stay in form longer than younger druids can.

A person doesn't choose their spirit animal, the animals chooses them.

Druids are usually dumber and looked down.

Certain races can't be druids: Dakkar, Miar, Vespid, Ur, Naga Avarr.

Yanar have an easier time becoming druid due to their strong connection with nature.

Dwarves have a harder time due to them destroying tons of land and ''hurting'' nature.

Every person has a spirit animal, they just don't know it. They are born with one but can't use it until they unlock it.

-sits in class reading this- I like it!

This is neat, but how will it fit with the lore?

I love the idea of a druid people, I suppose yanars and some elves are supposed to be like that, but the animal form concept, as Azas said, has already been covered.

Magic also isn't seperate by classes, all who use magic can be considered a Mage in massivecraft so a "Druid" would just be a Mage which in the end as others have stated would make this just spirit magic, which already exists so there's a very low chance if any of this being implemented into our lore. Though I thank you for you time and interest in the lore and encourage this sort of idea putting forwarding :p

I'm kinda confused....what /is/ spirit magic?

Spirit magic is a magic form that allows the caster to turn into their spirit animal. As one masters it they can stay in this form longer.
