• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

This past week, Massivecraft has seen its two biggest sieges yet, between the Kingdoms of Volarys, Varenna and Demise, and the allied forces of the Dominion and the Kingdom of Ascalon. This post will serve as a recount of the events of the two sieges. The Dominion has a great deal of respect for Volarys, and our council appreciates their creation of conflict for it bringing the best out of both sides, and ultimately, bringing the best out of Aloria. We applaud Volarys for taking the risk of an offensive siege, and when we are suited to do so, we will attempt our own.

These sieges deserve to be documented for their monumental achievement in terms of the growth of the server, as in the Siege of Cressida, over 130 different players participated, be it soldiers, suppliers, or repairers.

The Siege of Magnanimus
While relatively small in comparison to the following siege, the conflict at Magnanimus saw a swift and assertive victory for Volarys against the underprepared and undermanned Dominion forces. Despite the side's best efforts, the Dominion only managed to win one siege under the leadership of General Shaneski101. Congratulations to Volarys on their successful battle plan and conclusive victory.

The Siege of Cressida
Following up the victory on Magnanimus, Volarys quickly took to Cressida to strike the Dominion at another one of its core members. This time, the Dominion was able to rally a large number of soldiers to come to the aid of their long time member and beloved ally. Despite the massive influx of soldiers, Volarys' use of tactics and stronger organization resulted in a close fight, with the results coming down to the final clash on August 6th, in favor of the Dominion by a mere 5,000 points. Some of the most notable elements of this fight were the use of Qadir bombs to detonate large numbers of the Dominion forces off of the banner, as well as the growing significance of siege/defense bases as meta in gameplay, resulting in both sides supporting ideas to legalize siege bases.

The Dominion has elected to send Magnanimus the war chest from Cressida to aid them in reparations for the loss of that siege.

The following bridge in Essa that connects FortVolar to the Cressida siege zone has been dubbed as a landmark by the community, to serve as tribute to the great efforts of so many members of the community.
