Welcome to the Dominion Newsletter for March 2023. The following is a roundup of what has been happening in the Dominion and its constituent factions concerning matters of growth, building, warfare, RP and more! If you are a faction leader and wish to join the Dominion, contact Sweet_Dreams or another Council member in game, if there is a play style available, we cater to it. And like the Phoenix on our banner, the newsletter is back! A lot has been happening in the Dominion lately, with building projects beginning, sieges tapping incessantly at the door, new members and a new surge in activity. We have gotten a lot done, with a lot more to go! First and foremost, we’d like to welcome our new members of Asteria, refugees of Ascalon and the varied member factions of the Kalniesian realm! Exciting prospects going forward with so much new blood. With so many areas being built up and more foundational faction lore being written the options for Roleplay in the Dominion start to ramp up rather drastically! Watch this space! The Dominion has recently expanded, taking in refugees from the disbanded Ascalon Kingdom, as well as adding in the Kalniesian Realm, and Asteria. The Dominion is currently open to new recruits, but those without a referral must apply at: https://forums.massivecraft.com/threads/dominion-kingdom-recruitment.102424/ The Dominion has finally rallied troops to defend a siege, blowing out the Winterheim forces 12960 to 1750. Members of the Dominion Council are planning to begin working on the Market project after a hiatus. The build is complete, and more is soon to come! Sevak led the defence of Dauntless with the help of Sunsh1ne901, Traxex30, Kidmodo, Ieso, Ridgee, Morbytogan and coolkidsupa. Wynstiel redesigned the Ellesmere banner. They also worked on making external dominion information into fun little Minecraft books. And they’ve been designing boats for the dominion travel project. Lumina finalised the design for their mountain palace and warzones and have finished building it in Ithania. They also were the first faction on the server to complete a transfer from Essalonia to Ithania consisting of their castle linked by a bridge to their palace and a few groups of houses. Terraforming nearby was completed to blend them into their new location alongside the castle and palace. A new faction home location was chosen to replace the one in Essalonia and carved out with the help of many Dominion team members. Construction of their new faction home is nearly done. Time has also been spent working on various projects within other Dominion factions. A couple days were also spent aiding in the defense of the Dauntless. TehCatalyst has been working more on the building of the city, basically finishing the buildings and the decorations in all parts of the city. Shoyru has sorted out many of the books for the Halia Library and plotted out a to-do list to lead up to the opening. RazeII got the boats built in the docks, ready for portals to be placed in them and has worked on preparing schematics for the Deldrimor build expansion. Raze has also been working on aiding newer factions through lore and visual integration and updating older factions crests. KittyPoppins has been working on Dominion artwork of the kingdom council and a few other faction leaders outside of the game. Torsmir: Sweet_Dreams has been working on a city design for Torsmir, making it bigger and girlier. Torondir: Talantius has been building in his land and has gotten a new section wall built in Torondir. They have begun building their Farming District in Lurelin with the help of Chalsie & wynstiel, and they are excited to be able to have more space for players that enjoy the Farming and Gardening aspects of Survival the most. They’ve also begun helping their fellow kingdom members build on [Redacted], and have been restocking chests with supplies whenever possible to make sure that the building process is quick and easy. “Throughout the past couple of weeks we've decided to get a little more active in the pvp scene, and we've been approaching it in a way where we're doing it to have fun - not to take it seriously. We've been able to defend our own faction (though it was fairly unsuccessful, but that's okay we had a good time!) and we capped points for Azuria. We'd also clowned around at the Dauntless siege.” They eagerly await the day they are released from Winterheim so that they may return home to Dominion. They also updated their crest to something more. Skitara: They finished their wall, and are working on builds (houses, tavern, etc) inside the wall, and plan to eventually develop a town outside as well. Rose is working on stocking up the Kalniesia WinterMarket. Kahiki: Is three quarters finished with developing a world tree that is so high in the sky, you can see it anywhere on the island. Their only tasks left are to develop tree houses, and a build for the throne room as well as some other minor details. Kalniesia: Is developing a castle which is a mix of gothic and dark elf. The front half of the castle is nearly complete and the hand made terrain which the castle sits upon is almost complete. Future plans: To establish a castle for Vevinbur, create forts for both Ketah and Brasov, and set up a dock system throughout the island with boats (already have been designed) scattered around the coast of the island. Lastly, one 2-3 chunk wide bridge starting from the coast of Veinbur to the coast of Brasov which will house many people as well as "regulate" (lore wise) boats that wish to pass through the bridge. Wizkers worked on making map art for people internal and external to the Kingdom and aided in the defence of Dauntless from the Winterheim siege. Worked on Dominion alliances to bring Sovereign back into the Kingdom. Tyberia has been working on their dwarven city, and have been moving random chests in Tyberia into their storages so they can be moved to their other base. Jaehaerys helped defend one of the sieges against Lurelin by Winterheim. The new, updated Dominion sigil board, featuring numerous crests of the various factions. The docks at Cressida are now closer to completion, with a lot more detail done in the city itself. Lumina’s Ithania progress!
