And if not, why?

I use Gerudoku Faithful, since it fits the medieval theme but isn't as serious-looking as the MassiveCraft one. The MassiveCraft resource pack is too... detailed for my taste.

Warning:
Don't discuss other servers or advertise anything on this thread.

I use the MassiveCraft resource pack because a large majority of MassiveCraft players use it. And when role-playing, I want to see what everyone(who is using the resource pack) else sees. Like the paintings for instance, I want to see the same paintings as almost everyone else.

Minecraft reminds me of old games like Mario and pacman. The pixely look just feels right.

Faithful Texture Pack
(HD Vanilla)

I use the MassivePack because, tbh, I loath the default, and all the other packs I've tried just don't feel right haha. Also I tried one and had no idea what diamonds looked like, nearly trashed half a stack -_-

I often use the massive craft texture pack.. But when I'm not using massive craft texture pack I use sphax, because.. Cartoony.

I use a custom soundpack with a resource pack. For role-playing i use the massivecraft resource pack, building the default and for everything else the riverwood resource pack by silverfeathers. I don't use the texture pack that much, i prefer the riverwood over the massivecraft pack, but the massivecraft resource pack is also very beautiful.

I use the resource pack while I'm on the server, as not only do I like it, but because a large amount of the buildings are designed around the pack.

However, outside of the server I mostly switch to the default look, because it (obviously) doesn't really fit in a nom-medieval setting.

I use Plast Pack because it is simple but optimized for PvP by reducing the amount of space fire takes up on your screen (low fire) and has a clean, clear/transparent GUI. Also, the grass ans leaves are slightly greener and the water is bluer, and generally the pack is vibrant and colorful. I like it.

I like to keep things consistent and use/build in the official texture pack. I encourage everyone to use it so they can see MassiveCraft the way it's builders intended it to be seen.

I use massive textures because:
1: Has a lot of special blocks that most texture packs dont have. (When building in the field and such)
2: It makes me feel happy
3: Its just great.

I always use the MassiveCraft texturepack. Since all World members use it, it´s the only way to see the Buildings the way we built them after all. Therefor I would highly suggest to switch to the MassiveCraft texturepack while wandering through Regalia once in a while even if you like other ones better, I can promise you you won´t be dissapointed. ;)

๖ۣۜI don't use the MassiveCraft texture pack as my computer can't load things like that too well.
However, I actually use my first character's texture pack, "William Chronicler's Schizophrenia". Although he wasn't my best character compared to my more recent ones, I simply adored some of the beauty of the leaves and what was specifically out of colour. I adore bright and vivid colours in daylight cases, but things like the Nether and End I have as stained and dark.

I find myself usually using some form of dokucraft. I don't LOVE any of them. I love parts of each but they all have something about them that bugs me. I find I'm like that with every texture pack I've tried and I've tried a lot of them.

I wish I could just use the official server resourcepack but my domicile is comprised significantly of netherbrick blocks and for some reason someone thought it would be a good idea to make them look like wet cardboard boxes in the massivecraft texture pack.

I've tried just swapping out that one texture but it doesn't change it in game for some reason. It updates the slabs, steps and fenceposts, but not the blocks. (would appreciate any tips on that)

I don't have that problem...

I love the Massive one.
Its way nicer with connected textures.
use mcpatcher or optifine to do that.

Acacia tree planks are random filled food crates by the way.
Iron blocks will integrate together to look like a solid iron object.
Gold blocks will have different cool designs in it.
Crafting table has more faces.

Non connected chiseled stone looks better than connected chiseled stone though. (works with more things like you can mix it with smooth stone and what not instead of only being able to mix it with stone brick)
