Marayan culture is, to my imagination, the most curious of cultures in Aloria. As the only people to use aerial transportation, especially on a community scale, what might these air machines look like, and how do they function? What if the Marayans used crystal technology to create something akin to the jet engine? Above is an airborne community module, housing perhaps a few hundred people. It is conical in shape with a central engine that sucks air through the front and sends it out a pressurized back exit, creating thrust. The outside of the cone is secured with some sort of continuous fiber tarp. Arrayed around the engine are rooms, perhaps a walled grid or collection of bubbles, separated into private and public buildings. Furthermore, air bags and rudders might exist throughout the structure to provide lift and control of direction. Ideas? Please leave in the comments. This is an open discussion.
