They reach to about shoulder length. On the sides of her head are horns like that of bison, which tend to get in the way and obscure her vision a bit, though not too terribly. Body Description - Her skin color is a sickly pale mint green. If she were to let her plumage grow, she would sprout red and white zinnia flowers on her back and arms and leaves on the sides of her face, back, and thighs. Her leaves usually grow back, giving them a sort of slicked back appearance; such leaves are green with a slight tinge of red at the tips. Overall, she appears rather androgynous and could easily pass as a feminine boy. Voice Description- Noza is a bit strange when it comes to how she talks. Though she often has a slight Ithanian accent, there are certain times and situations where she will have a thick Daendroque accent. She is also adept at vocal impressions, and can make her voice much, much higher or lower at will. She can do a very slight Regalian accent or Alt-Regalian, though they are still not like a genuine accent. Her voice when in a neutral state is light, airy, and almost nasally sounding. Personality traits Cowardly When faced with danger, Noza often will attempt to run away or avoid the threat as much as she can. The only time her fear tends to disappear is when something has managed to anger her, which rarely happens, or if she manages to have a little too much to drink. Even in social situations, she usually isn't the most graceful and may try to get herself out of anything that seems remotely embarrassing or threatening. She also runs away from problems she cannot solve or which will cause someone she loves to hate her, such as when her polyamory ends up getting her in trouble. Nosy She naturally seeks new knowledge from books and the people around her, however, if she’s not kept in check she’ll start to become more than just curious and even be nosy in the affairs of others. In fact, her nosiness has become such a noticeable trait that some call her Nozy. Her nosiness has led her to dangerous and even nearly fatal situations. It may also sometimes lead her to situations where she harms others in the long run, though usually not directly. Overly-Compassionate Noza is the type of person to literally sacrifice everything, even her own life, to try and protect the ones she cares about. Perhaps giving away money, or trying to pull nearly impossible favors, she does anything she can to help, no matter what. She even will aid strangers she finds hurt in the sewers whenever she finds them. This is usually seen as stupidity on her part, but she’s always fully aware of what she’s doing and the harm it can cause her. Even still, she lets herself be harmed, sometimes being torn down for months in recovering from all she's given to someone. Naive She’s not exactly foolish as much as she always sees someone as being redeemable and/or able to change, even when it’s obviously not the case. She also frequently puts herself in danger because she feels she can sway their heart, and ends up hurting herself because of it. Even after getting hurt again and again, it seems she refuses to learn or change herself. She's usually too stubborn or closed-minded to even try to change herself, which is rather ironic given her nature. Pacifistic Even when being attacked or about to be, Noza’s first response to danger is to run. If she can’t run, she’ll talk. If she can’t talk, only once every other option is unavailable will she consider fighting. She even feels guilt if she ends up actually hurting someone, even if it’s rightfully just. The only exception to this is when she's intoxicated or on particularly bad days where nothing seems to be working out for her. While her pacifism can be a good thing in certain situations, this also means she often can be trampled on by most others that want to bring genuine harm to her. Scholarly Noza, while disorganized, is still very keen on documenting and preserving all her works of research and personal discoveries in the various journals she keeps. Though she feels she could never be incredibly influential in the world, she continues documenting and experimenting as she tries to find something, anything new that she can share with others for the greater good. She usually keeps at least one journal or paper of some kind on her to document her thoughts, often going into excruciating detail into her feelings and experiences. Along with writing, she also puts down her thoughts in the form of drawings or sketches, which can range from abstract art pieces or formal documentation in the form of graphs and diagrams. Tolerant Since her own beliefs dictate that everyone is redeemable, Noza believes especially that tolerance of anything unorthodox or strange is the key to truly aiding someone. She is tolerant of most belief systems and religions, and even Void Worship to an extent. She’s open minded about most things, so long as they aren’t outright intolerant beliefs in of themselves. However, she is not tolerant of someone who will directly go out of their way to hurt those she cares about and will do all she can in her power to avoid or stop whomever does so. Polite Unless caught on a bad day, she tries her hardest to not offend or upset anyone, even people she may dislike. However, her politeness will drop should she feel like someone is patronizing her or if they have seriously wronged her in the past and refuse to apologize for doing so. She especially isn't polite to people who lie to her face; she often will not be very forgiving unless there's a good reason for lying in the first place. Honest She was taught at a young age that lies are not tolerated or appreciated and that they will always lead to her getting in trouble . However, this leads to an inner conflict with herself, as she frequently has to lie about both her race and her name to protect herself. Besides her identity, she never hesitates to give her honest opinion on something, even if her opinion isn’t needed or wanted. If asked a question she doesn't want to answer truthfully, she chooses to avoid the question or change subjects rather than lie. Strengths Alchemical Prowess/Medical knowledge - One of the first skills Noza learned when she first arrived in Regalia, she often carries around basic medical supplies both for herself and others. Most of what she carries is bandages, Tallasan gel, and Hempaben’s Remedy, though she may have miscellaneous supplies with her. She is rather skilled in this field, though has some difficulty in certain areas of the craft, such as with Lyss-Eish and Dakkarsand. Likable - Her friendly attitude towards most people - even to those who intend to bring her harm - has earned Noza a few odd friends, especially in Regalia’s sewers. Most people she’s met are also kind to her back, though there are cases where even on her best days when she’s at her kindest that some people simply loathe her open friendliness. In some cases however, she may be a bit too likable, creating relationships she may or may not be able to keep up with. Dedication - When in pursuit of anything, whether it be knowledge or of other people, Noza doesn’t give up easy when it’s something or someone she truly cares about. That being said, she will only give up once she realizes all options are exhausted and futile, and even then it takes some time for her to realize it. This in combination with her kind-hearted nature makes her great for someone to talk to and aid personal problems, even if said person is unwilling. Adaptable - When transitioning from a place like Ithania to somewhere like Regalia, many often go through a phase of trying to blend into or otherwise situate themselves into the foreign culture. For Noza, this transition is usually short from her easily accepting the beliefs and practices of other cultures, even if she disagrees with said practices. Though it takes a bit of energy, mostly emotional, for her to get used to serious change Enduring - Even in the harsh, unforgiving circumstances of her life, Noza takes more beatings than she’s usually given credit for, though the reasons for this are usually her own doing. In nearly every instance of danger or harm, Noza doesn’t come out unscathed, but rather takes whatever beating she must in the name of others. Though she can endure, she does have a limit, if it takes a long time for her to reach said limit. Weaknesses Mental Instability/Paranoia - Although she wishes to meet new people and expand her circle of friends and companions, Noza tends to have trust issues with most strangers and may take a while to actually start warming up depending on the person. Along with her paranoia, she commonly has bouts of depersonalization and often panics if surrounded by large amounts of danger or if the area is extremely loud. Because of this, whenever she has a severe episode, she holes herself in her house or somewhere safe until she feels like she’s gathered enough trust and bravery to go back outside. She is also extremely wary of men, due to past experiences that leave her refusing to trust most men she knows. Pyrophobia - Something most of her kind fear, Noza takes her fear of fire to an extreme. If she smells wood burning in any way or gets much too close, she may go into a panic and try to flee from the source of the fire. This makes some places nearly inaccessible to her and difficult or even impossible for her to stay warm should she venture somewhere cold. It’s because of this fear that she nearly always has a bottle of water on her, even if such a small amount isn’t effective to actually aid her. Naive - Though not always trusting, Noza always tends to believe that anyone who wrongs her is just misled or misguided, but never directly malicious. This naive nature of hers has led her to nearly-fatal situations, but even then she rarely actually learns from her mistakes, continuing to believe she can ‘redeem’ others. This is an unfortunate leftover trait from her Salvation sickness that still hasn’t gone away completely. Impulsive - Most of the things that drive her to do impulsive actions are things which bring harm to others, meaning mostly criminals and those whose religious beliefs come in the way of the freedoms of others. However, she's also extremely impulsive when it comes to relationships, often indulging in multiple at the same time and without thought. This nature of hers often causes her to never get anything major done in her life, due to extreme procrastination and sticking to other activities. Blind Eye - Due to an incident with her father, Noza’s been blind in her left eye since 18. While she’s used to dealing with it by now, this makes the left side of her a weak spot where she may not react to anything coming her way. This also throws off her depth perception, making her unable to balance or attack properly, meaning when she attacks she mostly is taking a chance. Life story Before Noza was born, her Yanar father, Yuki, and Mekett father, X’ilc’il both met when X’il was injured when looking for other Vaults in Ithania. Yuki found X’il and nursed him back to health and simultaneously developed a romantic relationship with him over the course of a couple months. In this time, Yuki developed a strawberry, which would later become Noza. Once fully healed however, X’il headed off to find a vault, not aware that Yuki had a seedling growing. Once X’il left, Yuki was a single parent taking care of Noza until she was about 3, when Jean came into the picture. A scholarly Ailor man, Jean offered to help Yuki take care of Noza. Being in a desperate situation, Yuki had to accept being with him lest he take care of Noza himself. Knowing he was desperate, Jean used this against Yuki to control him and use him. For around 10 years, Yuki and Jean had an extremely abusive relationship that was only tied together by Noza being there. Due to the polarized way she was raised, she tended to favor Yuki over Jean, since Jean would degrade her verbally as well as physically and as a result gave herself a low self-image. As well as physically and emotionally abusive, Jean believed that women were not needed in reproduction when concerning yanar, and heavily disapproved of a yanar being with anything other than a male human. Regardless of her disfavor towards her father, she always obeyed him due to his constant violence against her for various reasons. These reasons often were if she ever told Yuki of the things he told her or if she resisted or denied his authority. Though Yuki wasn’t nearly so abusive, he wasn’t much better, as he spent many of his nights drinking and crying due to his abused state and inability to escape. This left Noza as a fairly submissive person in all aspects and emotionally neglected, but also held sympathy for him and other yanar to an even higher degree than most other races. Though Yuki didn’t interact with her much, he would give her books to read, some of which were tomes detailing the usage of Light magic which she would thoroughly study. Around the age of 16, Noza met a Northerne girl - who she refers to as ‘V’ in her journals and conversation - who she became friends with in a short period of time. As they grew closer, Noza began to think for herself, much to the displeasure of her father. Upon noticing they were starting to become more than just friends, Jean immediately put a plan into place to stop them from becoming closer, and actually began to drive them apart by means of blackmail, bullying, and spreading misinformation between the two. When that didn’t work, he resorted to severely abusing Noza to the point of making her blind in one eye. Once she was blinded beyond repair, Noza stopped seeing fear out of fear. As a result of this, over the course of a few months, the two were driven apart. Unbeknownst to Noza however, Jean continued to debilitate ‘V’s mental state even after they were driven apart and eventually led to her committing suicide. At this news, Noza practically broke, refusing to talk to anyone or leave her house as she fell into a deep depression. Dissatisfied that his child could be so weak in his eyes, he came up with a plan to make her stronger: have her develop Void sickness by a vice or virtue to purge her mind of V. Unfortunately, this severely backfired as she became sick with the virtue of Salvation, making her even more apathetic to her well-being and more concerned about others. In particular, she was concerned about Yuki at this time, who also seemed to shut down once she became sick with salvation. From her sickness, she developed a habit of constantly ringing or rubbing her hands as well as her skin becoming a much less vivid green/pale. Yuki would begin to drink more and more, further neglecting Noza and practically shunning her. This still dissatisfied Jean, and he ended up shunning Noza as well. Around this time, Jean grew annoyed, and eventually ended up throwing her out by the time she was 20 and ‘needed to experience the world’. He had some of his ‘friends’ send her to Regalia by way of sea. She would then arrive, starting out new in a foreign world. From there on, she would have to move forwards to try and survive. .
My Review: You state that your character has "messy leaves that resemble Lamb’s ears" for hair yet "Ailor seedlings often have nothing semblant of hair, but a smooth, bald head instead." While I will allow you to have at least some plant-like hair, it should be cut back to allow for the natural baldness to exist as well as the head patterns. You state she has horns yet at no place in the life story did I read her encounter with the blood mage. Please tag me once the edits are done in green @Walle_Fan
Changed her backstory and how she got horns so it makes more sense and is explainable and i don't want write her whole life's story leading up to the blood mage thing When I previously got her approved, the one reviewing said her hair was fine. If I must cut it back, how exactly would I go about describing it anyways? @The_Shadow_King3
Two points: Her skin must be bark like, it can't be the light green tone you have currently set it to. Also, it would be "exist sickness" not void since Salvation is an existling. Also please do a check over your life story to make sure that the changes that come with the new parentage are consistent throughout.
