A Crime System has been often speculated about, but never truly implemented due to lack of manpower and brainstorming ideas. The Noble system is reaching a certain point of equilibrium, and we have found manpower that are willing to run the Crime system post launch, which essentially means that we can officially announce that a Crime System is underway, which will take heavy inspiration from the current setup of the Noble System and their Hierarchy Structure.
When the system goes live, activity will be measured to ensure active groups of criminals enter the system. Players who are not active when the measuring starts, will not be granted a canonized crime ring.
We fear that currently crime rp is nonexistent and crime wars are at an all time low, so consider this an update or shake up to activate yourselves and get active again. In the noble system, some nobles have as much as 20 to 30 followers. While we will not expect the same numbers in the crime system, we do hope to see some Guilds & Organizations threads popping up with signing up of active & main characters and engaging each other in roleplay in the Sewers/Slums whenever that releases. This also means groups need to be substantial. One man crime rings will not be allowed.
- The Crime Scene will be ran by the Court of the Rats who hold the crown of the Rat King. This shadowy organization is known to all sewer and slum dwellers as the organization that strongly controls public opinion among the thugs that live in the Regalian City. They measure the value of a crime organization, assigning it a rank with thugs (much like nobles get troops) which can be used in a city-encompassing turf war with other Crime rings.
- Unlike there being an Emperor among the Nobles, the Court of the Rats will not appoint a Rat King until a crime ring reaches its zenith to rule over the majority of the Crime rings. After this point, the Rat King can dictate how turf wars are held among the crime organizations, and the Rat King also gets certain interactions with the Emperor on the surface.
- Nobles will be able to interact one way or another with the crime rings and vice versa, but the details aren't clear yet.
- There will probably be quite some resistance with City Guard. While exact details aren't clear yet, events could be held that involve guards protecting or patrolling an area while criminals attempt to achieve an objective. This could either be done with actual player guards or NPC sentries.
- Because Crime rp can interface with noble rp, you cannot become a crime ring leader as a Noble, though silven and magic permissions will not interfere with this.
