'tis called character development. Such roleplay occurs on the server, I'm sure. You've simply not been able to find it or lead one yourself. I'm saying this because I feel the same way. I feel my characters don't get into anything more than the usual greetings and small talk. Yet it seems like all of my friend's characters get into all sorts of troubles and eventful situations that change their lives. I could get into why that is but it's late and I'm kinda tired atm and I'm sure other people here can give you essays on that so yeah..
nono i know that it exist, I am just trying to create a group of people who want to make and set up more serious roleplays, and so that there is a way to get into a roleplay without spending a few hours trying to find one

I may have to make it something like a skype group, unless there is something similar on here that could also work. Perhaps a forum post to where we can post our characters information? A character sheet, if people have them.
Neat! in that case after letting this post stand for a little while, I will work on making another post for people to actually apply and join this aforementioned group.

I'm really bad at initiating roleplay, and most of what my characters do anymore is just small talk. I've recently started becoming more active within a gang and am trying to join in on more events, but it would be wonderful to see a more casual group that's not all about fighting and politics, you know? I'd love to join this if created.

Ah, this would be wonderful! I feel the same way about my characters. As much as I try to instigate interaction, things turn out very slow and when they aren't, half the time people are talking OOC and get side-tracked! Bookmarking this to see how you handle it. If it does turn out to be good, count me in without a regret. ^^
I would very much like to join in on something like this! It sounds very fun, I certainly have a few characters that never really do much aside from things like small talk etc. I a very interested!

Alright! Well in that case, within a few hours I will begin work on creating a better forum for completing this task.
How I am thinking it will go is that on this aforementioned forum, people who are interested in joining will simply post their character information, along with (unless I can think of another mode of group communication) their skype, and with that I could create a group chat for planning anything from a simple 1 on 1 roleplay to an event.
If anyone else has any better ideas before I start I would love to hear them ^u^

Something to consider, I feel like this would need to have a specific IC goal to work. Chances are, we've all got different characters from different backgrounds and situations. How do we find common ground to make sure we get some serious roleplay and character development from each other?
Thats the point! This isnt just an event that everybody has to participate in, It is a place for people to set up the roleplays. There is no IC goal to be achieved since this isnt some IC organization, its an OOC group made so people can make things happen IC, simply because two people are in the group, does not mean that they ever have to interact.

I'm totally on board with this idea and would love to be included.
Im uhm, not so sure about that sorry. it takes weeks to create a character already and this isnt meant to be a replacement to rp in any means of the word.

They characters don't have to be as in depth, if the type of player you are looking for is indeed the type you are looking for, lack of lengthy application shouldn't matter, and you don't need to apply on the forums to use the character because you are not rp'ing in the same universe, just an alike one.
I do not think you are quite understanding the point of this group.. I am looking for people who want to roleplay seriously, inside if massivecraft. This is a group of people so we can plan roleplays.. /inside/ of massivecraft, this isnt a roleplay that will be taking place anywhere else besides inside, massivecraft. This is the same universe, and yes, a lengthy application would be prefered so we can know that you want to roleplay /seriously/ which is the whole point of this group.
