Race: Asha. Clan Name: Khedr. Etymology: Stemming from the root word “Khed” in Ibethian which roughly translates to “Survive” in common it is believed that Clan Khedr was born from the ashes of this ideal in a time of great turbulence. Origins: Clan Khedr arose after The Great Journey, with the Asha freeing themselves from Altalar enslavement; tales have passed down through generations that the clan sprouted from the revitalization of hope in the eyes of Asha. Religion: Faces of Baskarr. Chosen Heron: Itjawetekh. Birthplace: The Sefetjew Fleet, The Queendom of Kharkoor, The Kheni-Hefet Fleet. Birthplace Explained: Three lines of cousins split between three kingdoms all stemming from the brothers of the original patriarch of the family. Values: Clan Khedr is known for their less than merciful ways, always finding the easiest root to their goals even when it may lead to the most blood on their hands. Due to the lines of the family being split between three kingdoms there are Khedr who value intellect and prestige while the majority hunger for power and monetary gain. Though usually all maintain a certain blunt albeit easygoing mentality. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Current Members: This lists the deceased and current clan members of Khedr, you will notice only mainline and first cousins are listed. Every prospect Khedr is heavily inclined to create a character under the cousins lines as one of their children, mainline applicants will need a plausible and good explanation for such. Main Line: Maat Eshaq-Khedr (79, Unavailable): The former patriarch of Clan Khedr whose age has soured his taste in niceties. Growing up as the mantle of a true Corsair, many look up to the aging Khedr who gave his life to the sea but note his unruliness as perhaps a front in the eyes of Baskarr. Maat is stubborn and obstinate to a fault, taking what he pleases with little regard to what others believe is right. Now, he resides back in the Queendom of Kharkoor in an uneasy retirement with his bonded lover. Jomana Rizk Khedr (70, Unavailable): Fierce in the eyes of many corsairs, the tales of Jomana’s plunders before the bondship between her and Maat is far and wide, being in close familiarity with other major fleets that scoured the western seas, many Asha’s eyes were on Jomana- but she chose Clan Khedr. It is said that whilst Maat ruled over the clan it was truly Jomana that held the souls of the fleet. Today, she resides within the Queendom of Kharkoor. Hothor Rizk Khedr (29, Current Patriarch): The current patriarch of Clan Khedr born and bred amongst the hardships of the sea, son to Maat and Jomana. Hothor took a steady command in navigating the Khedr fleet to many victories in his adolescence, many often thinking he had the constellations mapped out in his mind. Though so many victories led to government involvement which led the Ithanian forces to sink the main vessel of the Khedr fleet and taking the Asha’s arm in the process. Captured and imprisoned for years aboard the vessel, many had thought Hothor dead. Though, in his recent emergence within the Crown City of Regalia he has taken a new lead whilst in an unfamiliar land. Jabare Akl-Khedr (10, Unavailable): First son of Hothor stranded in the Kingdoms of Pharah with his mother, little to no contact with his father. Cousin Lines: Djoser Aton Khedr (64, Playable): N/A Baako Horus Khedr (55, Playable): N/A ________________________________________________________________________________________________ OOC Information: If you are intrigued in the idea of playing a Khedr, or an Asha in general, you really have to be self-motivated and committed to building your character from the ground up. I am often available through the week, often not Wednesdays or weekends. I work a fulltime job, and have IRL obligations that will take precedence over logging on if need be. This is a commoner house- free to cause drama and social obstacles between family members or in public. This does not have to be your main character, but consider playing them when you have time.
