Clan Beerfist are of the Mithorrin split and so lean towards the Stockier and stronger of their kind. They lean slightly towards the shorter side with the average height of male members of the line being about 4'6" and females being taller with an average of 4'8" which is in contrast to most of their race, However, like most it isn't unlikely to come across differations from the norm. Beerfists often have natural blonde hair with the occassional red head cropping up about ever other generation and dark grey eyes that appear warm and friendly to close companions, but cold as stone to those they distrust. Fair skinned like much of their kind with broad, defining features, with a more subtle bone structure to the female line.

The Clan practises it's own form of Martial art and forgo heavy bulkier weapons which are the go to for the rest of their kind and an expectation that a Beerfist will atleast have some skill within this combat means that all beerfists often boast impressively muscular figures and the failure to partake in the practice and upkeep of ones martial ability is considering to be neglection of their duties

"The Heart is the strongest Muscle."

Clan Beerfist value a number of mental traits. A Beerfist is expected to be patient with both people and profession as time is the greatest teacher, with both ideas and brews time will bring forward the flaws while also helping to refine the final product.

It's best not to mistake their patience for indecisiveness as the Dwarves of clan Beerfist are also incredibly steadfast and stalwart in their duties to clan, faith, and culture as these are the things that they define themselves by and are the basis of their family values.

Beerfists are quick to forgive ignorances and insult preferring not to display any outwards offence or pains for a number of reasons, Beerfists prefer to treat people as individuals preferring not to group them in with the impression of the rest of their race, weighing someones value by their own worth and merit, but another reason they are stoic is that Beerfists are often slow to trust others and will try to bury emotion because they don't want to show that they've been hurt or don't want to offload their burdens onto others.

Feelings of anger and bitterness are tempered through their preferred practice of martial arts, Using it as an outlet and often sparring against other members of the clan builds strong bonds between the members and as a result will confide and share their feelings with one another.

Though the clans core values are Stoicism, Patience, and steadfast. Clan Beerfist have a significant reputation as drinking companions and party goers, They are brewers after all and as such know how to drink and have fun and as a result meal time within the Beerfist halls can feel like a mini celebration.

Most dwarves born into clan Beerfist, find no issue and have no issue becoming the next generation of brewmasters, however in the rare occasion a Beerfist is unsatisified with the career layed out before them, then the clan will band together to help them find a career and clan which best suits them, however, this does mean the young dwarf is expected to set aside the Beerfist name and to take up the name of their new clan, in addition to that however, the Beerfists will often welcome those who desire to learn the ways of brewing with open arms and with after a short transition period will allow the new member to take up the clan name.

Ølfald, Ancestral home of Clan Beerfist.

The rise of Clan Beerfist is often dating to roughly around the rise of the Grebor hold and bringing with it many new opportunities arose for smaller clans seeking to establish themselves, it's rather unknown if any Beerfists existed before this point, but Kvasir Beerfist is often credited to be the original progenitor of the clan within the hold of Grebor, an innovative brewermaster and skilled close quarters combatant, It is believed he created the first Beerfist ale which established the clan and also produced the wealth that allowed Clan Beerfist to construct their home and brewery Ølfald (Beerfall), named for the river and waterfall which powers the mill used to produce the beer malts.

In the following years, Clan Beerfist continued to grow and prosper with new beers and ales being made with the clan expanding into the production of meads and ciders, The clans wealth continued to grow however, this wasn't sure to last and like many of their kind they deeply felt the impact of the rising Dakkar threat which not only affected the clan financially, but also personally as a number of Beerfists had left to branch out in the other holds and as a result many members were lost to the rise of the Dakkar.

As dwarves began to settle in Ailor settlements, Clan Beerfist began exporting their drinks to these settlements and as such were able to avoid financial disaster and soon they began to prosper once more, however, this did not do much to lift the weight of loss felt by the clan.

At some point during their history Clan Beerfist became closely involved with another clan known as Spiritsmith, who like them also produced alcoholic beverages, except they dealt in Spirits, such as gin, vodka and whiskey. Many marriages and negotiations would take place between the two clans and it was eventually decided that the two would join as one and Ølfald was expanded to have a distillery, Though the clan is officially Beerfist, it is tradition for clan members who choose to become distillers to take the name Spiritsmith.
