-ˏˋ. Backstory/Plothooks .ˊˎ-​

• Origin: Born from a mother who is a part of an influential merchant family and a father whom disappeared. Ciridan had always been seen as the odd one out, he had always refused to fit in with his mother's expectations of becoming a brilliant merchant. To spite that fact, he picked up the art of sword fighting and the ways of Unionism at a very young age. He then dedicated his life to it soon after. The treatment that he got from his mother had caused him to have issues with communicating his true thoughts or keeping up with conversations, sometimes he chooses to stay quiet and listen to what people had to say before speaking on his own.
• Plothooks:
  • [Foolish Behaviour] Ciridan wasn't exactly the brightest during his years in the Viridian Academy. His lack of knowledge and past rebellious teenage phases had caused him to pass as a squire to the Viridan Order under many judgements until he is given the green light to properly graduate. Though, he vowed to aim higher and grow as a person since then and had drastically changed his behavior.
  • [Virtuous Acolyte] Ciridan had found peace with his own beliefs that had been taught to him. One dire instance in his early childhood had strengthened his belief in his faith. First hand witnessing what he believes to be one of Grace's all-seeing owl swoop down to save him in an attempted kidnapping involving of the occult, had caused him to forever hold his faith closely to his heart.
  • [Devout Individual] Ciridan had always been a devout follower of Unionism as it is all that he's known as a child to the point that he has certain times of the day which he fully dedicates to prayers for blessings, guidance, or protection. He often does daily prayers at the All-Beacon Temple during the early morning or late evening.
  • [Attuned Soul] As per family beliefs, Ciridan's soul was found to be attuned with that of violins and fiddles. Though he enjoys playing the violin more often than the fiddle.

• Family is a slightly sensitive topic for Ciridan as he often thinks about if leaving all of them behind was the right choice or not.

  • Ciridan has no opinion where his father is in the world but he sometimes hope to at least be able to talk to him one way or another. Doesn't matter if he is unaware if the person who he is talking to is his father or not as he is sure he will be able to tell deep down in his heart.
• Růžena Lávís | Mother - Scorned Parent
  • Ciridan truly feels small every time he is talked down upon by his mother. Endless lectures, shouting, and scolding was all the little boy heard from his mother. Even as a child, he felt like he could never escape her grasp no matter how much he rebelled against her wishes and expectations, which had led him to escape at the end and cut contact with her indefinitely.
• Ardor Lávís | Cousin - Wise Saviour
  • If it wasn't for Ardor intervening multiple times during Ciridan's upbringing, Ciridan wouldn't be the person who he is today. Ardor is probably the sole person who supported Ciridan's wish to become a knight as Ardor understood what happens behind closed doors with his mother and only hoped the best for Ciridan's future.
• Ignac Lávís | Cousin - Bookish Merchant
  • Ciridan had only met Ignac a handful of times at the library when he was very young when the two happen to cross each others path. While one had sought out for merchant books, the other sought out for books about knights. Though during recent times, it appears the two often confide with one another about the ongoings within Regalia through countless of letters.
• Rodolfo Pérez | Family Butler - Understanding Figure
  • Ciridan had known Rodolfo for as long as he remembers. He often encountered Rodolfo numerous of times around the household, often busy with housekeeping and work though there are rare times when Ciridan was just a boy where the Rodolfo would invite Ciridan to go to the market to help with some shopping and even bake for household gatherings or events. Rodolfo's kind hearted and familial warmness had always been what Ciridan needed to stay on his feet even during the gloomiest of days.

• No matter the reason, Ciridan sees all those who are/were part of the Viridan Order to be trusted allies. Unless he witnesses something about it otherwise.

• Noemi Amenta | Trusted Ally - Role Model
  • Ciridan looks up to Noemi as a role model of what a Lancyon knight should be, caring for the weak, protecting others in need, and using their gifts for the greater good. He practically hopes to some day become a knight just like her. The two appear very friendly with each other that feels almost like that of an older sister with a younger brother.
  • It's always a cheer to have Noemi around, Ciridan can count on her on anything.
• Amber Norinn | Trusted Ally - Raven Haired Aegis
  • Ciridan always feels safe whenever Amber is present. Her protective and caring nature is something that he thought to be very admirable. He always hopes the best for her in the near future and so on.
  • Ciridan rather enjoys Amber's company, he will look out for her if need be.
• Raina Hatheway | Trusted Ally - Heavily Respects
  • Often watching Raina's brute strength and resilient nature in battle with a heart of gold. Ciridan heavily respects her as both a knight and warrior of her own. Though he often gets nervous when talking to her about trivial daily matters, especially while being on duty with her.

  • Due to the fact that the two were both squires of the Viridian Order when Ciridan first arrived, Ciridan sees Talsir as someone he can trust when it comes to experiencing new things. Since Talsir had been with the Viridian Order far longer than himself, Ciridan often trusts his judgement in a number of situations.
  • Watching from afar, Ciridan hopes to be able to listen in about Talsir's adventures as a squire.
• Jannick von Rolanthe | Trusted Ally - Mentor
  • Jannick is one of the the first Viridian knights alongside Kreiger who had introduced Ciridan to the Viridian headquarters and taught him all that the Viridian knights are known for. Since being assigned as Jannicks squire for the time being, Ciridan could be seen often following him around while out on daily patrols or missions.
  • As his squireship continued, it appears that Ciridan is growing to enjoy the Eulenburg knight's teachings.
• Henrik Osmont | Trusted Ally - Hero/Idol
  • Henrik is practically the first figure whom Ciridan had admired when he heard about him at the Viridian Academy. A Viridian knight whom holds all that the Viridians are known for in their faith in unionism and the emperor. Henrik is probably the sole person who had inspired Ciridan to become a Viridian knight himself.
  • Since becoming a squire, he hopes to continue learning more about what it means to be a Viridian and all that it is known for seeing that Henrik is one of the best there is.
• Keriger von Karlisle | Trusted Ally - Worried Transfer
  • Kreiger is one of the first Viridian knights alongside Jannick who introduced Ciridan to the Viridian headquarters. Ciridan views Kreiger as someone he can count on when it comes to making decisions on field. Though since his transfer to the Lothar Order, Ciridan often prays and wonders about his well being.
  • Perhaps a small conversation between the two is what Ciridan needs, even though the two do not know each other that well.
• Howland von Mortiz | Trusted Ally - Stoic Judge
  • Ciridan is unsure on what to exactly think about Howland as he barely even interacts with him outside of the weekly meetings. Though Howlands unwavering will and knowledge as a knight had always piqued Ciridan's interest. Though Ciridan came to trust his wise judgement and words.
  • Ciridan often observes Howland doing his work in public settings, maybe he just hasn't mustered up the nerves to talk to him properly yet.
• Lorraine Du Poncaire | Trusted Ally - Friendly Face
  • Lorraine is someone whom Ciridan often admired from afar as she does her duties. Though he often wondered on what she is like as a person, he cant help but always think that she was a friendly face amongst the Viridians. Ciridan owns two copies of her best selling childrens book, albeit it is supposed to be for children, he can't help but feel like her work could help motivate one to never give up.

• Petra van der Kleij | Trusted Ally - Gold-Hearted Healer
  • Ciridan originally only known about her through the Viridian knights logbook of listed knights but had encountered Petra when she was doing chores at the Viridian headquarters. The two had a friendly conversation and even shared a story or two together. Ciridan came to respect and admire her judgement and duty to the empire.
  • Observing from afar, Ciridan is looking forward to learn more about her. Perhaps he always thinks that she has plenty of stories to tell.

  • Ciridan's first impression is as joyful person she is. Her cheery personality never fails to bring light into every room she steps into, even her knowledge appears to be very broad in all things law and proper etiquette that Ciridan came to admire.

  • Ciridan had just encountered Lisandro during a meeting for the first time. The chatty knight had caught his attention and her cheery attitude really lit up the room almost instantly. Ciridan is quite curious on how she came to be throughout the years.

  • Ciridan had recently met the new face in the Viridian Order after witnessing them spar with a knight. Despite only knowing her for a short while, he believes that the two would be best friends down the line.

  • Ciridan had only recently encountered the knight clad in the proud colors of the Tyrian Chapter. The knight had brought an atmosphere of proud professionalism and confidence. Ciridan hopes to mayhaps get to know him better or at least try to get a deeper understanding of what goes around the knight's head.

  • Ciridan is unsure what to think of Freja as he had barely interacted with her. Though one time during an investigation and small conversation, her calm and collected demeanor had caught his attention until this day.

  • {Athletic Hobby} Despite being someone who enjoys the art of sword fighting, it appears that he is rather insecure about showing his skills most of the time.
  • {Medical Hobby} Often patching up his own injuries and others, Ciridan slowly came to learn the ins and outs of medical practices.
  • {Baking Hobby} Missing the taste of home, Ciridan took it upon himself to learn on how to bake with a recipe book he brought from home about all things sweetly baked with honey as its main ingredient.
  • {Musical Talent} Ciridan had always found comfort in playing the violin that it even lifts up his own spirit when he is feeling down. He hopes to be able the same said comfort to others.

  • [Heritage] Ailor are masters of languages, which is expected given their habit to culturally divides. Because so many of their languages are inter-connected, various words become more obviously related, and they also take more effort to learn other languages. If someone insults an Ailor, even in a language they do not speak, the Ailor would know, as they know most curse words or words by which to speak ill of others in all languages.
  • [Heritage] Ailor are the masters of the Regalian Empire, and while it has equality between all peoples and heritages, Ailor are just by virtue of being Ailor considered preferential for most government positions and judicial situations. Where possible to do with the Nobility, with Government, or with Palace decisions, Ailor will be treated preferentially over other peoples, even if their qualifications might be lesser than the other options.
  • [Heritage] Ailor make for excellent negotiators. Ailor gain +2 on top of every Persuasion Dice roll result, and their Persuasion Cap is also increased by +2 for every Dice Roll. These effects only apply to non-Afflicted, non-Mystech individuals, as their speech and habits are entirely fine-tuned to the more mundane aspects of global society, they must venture beyond their comfort zone to be able to reach Magic things.
  • [Heritage] Ailor whether by divine intervention or by sheer dump cosmic luck, always somehow end up on the right side of history. Ailor Characters when participating in Events, may sometimes stumble into an extreme luck roll that drops an additional loot item for one of the participants. This loot can be physical items, or intangible things like Divinium or an Artifactspark. Chances are higher for non-Magic using Ailor than Magic using Ailor.
  • [Heritage] Ailor when using Syncretism can worship up to 3 Gods of their sub-dominant Religion, instead of just 1 or 2. Additionally, when Syncretizing, they gain the Mechanic of the sub-dominant Religion (except for Evolism, where only one of the Mechanics can be chosen).
