CHARACTER INFORMATION
Name | Cipactli
Occult | Exist Demon — Greater Spirit
Alorian Age | Six Moons
Manifestation Date | February 18th, 311AC
Gender / Pronouns | Androgynous — He/Him
Alignment | Chaotic Neutral

CORE CONCEPT
Spirit of the Forest; a creature formed from an amalgamation of animal features and behaviors. Endlessly curious and looking to sate a desire for the exciting, chaotic, and new, this Spirit is prone to wander and stick his nose where it doesn't belong. Due to his carefree nature, he can be seen as naive, unpredictable, or in some cases, violent. All aspects of his base personality are informed by the wilderness and the beasts that reside within, as such, he can best be classified as a Nature Demon. He expresses both the grace and turmoil of the natural world; merciful like the cold rains that bless dry land, or unforgiving like the storm that turns shelter to rubble.

APPEARANCE INFORMATION
Molded by the lands surrounding his manifestation, his true Spirit Form can be seen as a combination of several unspecified species. His pale body is covered with a mix of scales, feathers, fur, and leathery skin. Long black antlers sprout from his crocodilian face, and a mane of flexible feathers surrounds his neck. His bone structure and gait are comparable to that of an elk, though he sprints more like a canine. Webbing between his hooves and paws, as well as his long, ridged tail, allow him to glide through the water like a serpent. This form is impressive in size, with measurements comparable to a bull moose.
Enchant Shift is often used for functionality and to conceal his strange and otherworldly attributes (badly). Currently, he only possesses two shifts.
〉The most preferred and first of his shifts is a simple one. Doing away with the limited capabilities of a four-legged body, he shifts to stand upright, mimicking the body structure of humanoids. After all, interacting with the world is much easier with thumbs. In this form, he stands around six feet tall.
〉His secondary shift is used to completely disguise himself as an Exist Arkenborn Maquixtl, taking traits from the Mazatl Gene. Given the alias Itocui, this shift is convincing in all matters physical, but lacking a demeanor to match. The appearance is of mid-tone skin, average height, and brown hair with living flowers tangled within. His social mimicry is based on a random assortment of previous possessions, and he's liable to break character by indulging in natural instincts gained from the wild. This form stands at five feet and nine inches tall.

BEGINNINGS
In the forests of Lessarion, bordering a Xotik Maquixtl settlement, several scouts were returning from a patrol. They moved together, yet separately, doing a secondary sweep of the land as they made the long trek back home. On their way, one of the scouts spotted a lake he hadn't seen before, and called out to let his team know he would be taking a moment to review the water source.
Taking it upon himself to rest for a moment, the Maquixtl crouched on the lake's bank, watching a piece of driftwood slowly float across its sparkling surface. The magnificent hues of sunset reflected on the gentle ripples, bringing his attention to the picturesque sight, then to the vibrant lilypads bobbing along, then to the dragonfly which zipped in and out of tall reeds, and then back to—

...The driftwood. Except it was much closer now. Somehow, it had floated from the far end of the lake to a mere few meters from where he sat in less than a minute, as though it had been pushed his way. He blinked, once, twice, narrowing his eyes. It was still drifting in a straight line towards his position. Suddenly, he realized; it wasn't driftwood, it was antlers. As if on cue, the antlers raised from the murky depths, revealing two empty, white eyes, and a long toothy snout reminiscent of a crocodile. He jumped up and stumbled, shouting in alarm at the strange beast.

"Cipactli! Cipactli!!"
"Caiman! Monster!!"

T
he warning reached his team, and they called after him, trying to locate where he was. As he hurriedly stepped back, the creature continued to rise, revealing more and more of its peculiar form as it crawled out from the lake. Its paw reached out to find leverage on the grassy bank, then its… hoof? He could see now that its entire body was comprised of many different animal parts. The Maquixtl brandished his weapon at the beast. It continued to stalk forward.
When the team of scouts finally arrived, the "caiman" was nowhere to be seen, nor was their teammate.
Cipactli, as the Spirit took to mean its name, had gained his first interaction and understanding of sentient kind. Using this Maquixtl's body, he would go on to explore more of sentient life, eventually being found out and trading bodies until he ended up on a cargo ship heading for the Regalian Archipelago.

TRAITS
Wild & Free | Cipactli passes through barriers and listens to no law. Furthermore, he doesn't even appear aware of them.
Mischievous | Cipactli finds enjoyment in messing with the inhabitants of this realm, both humanoids and animals.
Force Of Nature | Like the crashing waves or a lightning strike, Cipactli hits hard and is unwavering once he's set in a course of action. His magic takes the form of the natural world; from powerful winds, to storms, to vines that burst from the ground and tangle his target.
Ignorant | Having not spent much time in Aloria, Cipactli is not aware of most dangers. He does not understand the internal conflicts at play and doesn't consider the consequences of his actions.
Sensation Seeker | Cipactli has a propensity for entertaining himself with conflict, chaos, and any substances that have an effect on him.
Playful | Cipactli views hostility as a sort of game or play. He fights back not with anger or out of defense, but because it is exciting for him, and he believes the game to be mutual.

With how mentally in tune with nature as Cipactli is, the changing seasons bring with them some temperamental changes.

Spring | As the weather warms up from the frigid days of winter, so too does his spirit. This is when he is at his most kind and genuine. Helping people becomes just as enjoyable as messing with them, if not more so. However, this does not mean his mischievous tendencies are done away with…
Summer | As the warmth shifts to heat, when life appears the most active of the year, he becomes more energetic to the point of sometimes being hyperactive. Boredom is easily felt and unacceptable. If there is not enough action, he will make some.
Autumn | The desire to hoard and consume invades his form. Much like an animal before hibernation, he will gorge and stash for the winter, however unnecessary it is for him in reality. His stashes go beyond food, and the desire is extended to just about anything that grabs his interest.
Winter | A period of rest. As life slows to a near stop, his energy seems just as affected by the lack of motion. Despite not needing it physically, he is compelled to sleep regularly, and even in his waking hours, he is prone to drifting off.
