FROM THE DESK OF THE LORD CHANCELLOR, STATE, AND SECRETARY FOR THE FAITH
A PROCLAMATION

On this evening, November the 11th, a proclamation from the Office of the Lord Chancellor, the Lord Commander, and the Secretary of the Faith was made.

1. On the Subject of the Invisible Creature Crisis, The State releases the following information for public use.

  • The "Invisible Creatures" seems to have originated from a Comet that struck down in Old Town. There are at least three that have been successfully identified by the State Minister Digmaan, using a unique weaponry that certain guards and individuals will be armed with to combat and gain knowledge of these creatures.
  • The "Invisible Creatures" seem to come in some sort of cycle, with an "All Clear" expected to originate from Greygate when the streets are clear. Despite this, during their hunting periods and the peaceful periods, it is strongly encouraged that all people not travel alone. Mercenaries and Guards will be in high demand, and are suggested to be brought in where possible.
  • The "Invisible Creatures" appear to be attracted toward Manathar. Travelling near them is not advised until more intel is gathered by the State and released for public consumption.
  • Research will be conducted immediately towards the unknown comet that has struck Regalia as well as continued research into the beast that is terrorizing the citizens
2. On the subject of the role of Greygate in all this,
The Lord Commander of the Violet Order has decreed he will only selectively bring people into the safe haven that is Greygate, during these hunting periods. This will likely be restricted to the Peerage. Commoners and those not listed should make plans for their own defense. Some leeway is expected on certain weapon and defense laws, for the sake of dealing with these creatures. Above all, avoidance is crucial until more is known about this threat. The Lord Commander has stated that the Guard force will be in full force during this, ensuring the safety of the citizens of the city.

3. On the subject of The Secretary for the Faith business,
The site of the Comet crash has been decreed as being "of great state security importance" by the Lord Chancellor and Jared Luchs Kade and is thus not to be tampered with by any force apart from the approval of the Lord Chancellor or Lord Commander, or Kade authority to be lifted. That quarantine on the area is effective -immediately-. The Synod is requested publicly to focus their efforts on the restoration and the protection of the Cathedral, and similar such areas in need of protection. The Crimson Inquisition and her members, as well as volunteering Violets from other Chapters, are welcome to assist in the Synod maintaining control of their respective holy spaces.

  • For those with homes who were affected by the fires and the crashing of the comet, the Synod will be hosting a charity and collection of alms for those people on the 13th of November.

Glory to the Empire.
All official acts of this proclamation are hereby stated for the public record.
Reviewed and officiated by the Lord Chancellor and State.

"Yes, leave the everyday laborers and save the all so important nobility," said a certain Isldar, Cheyaoine Shainvrel.

Azra gave a bark of a laugh, "I wouldn't want to be locked up in that headache of a prison for days anyways! I'll just hide, meh."

Forcus Ironfist sighed as he'd rest close to the bridge of Greygate, being on a small watch duty with a small fire beside him. "I fought for this city.. I nearly died for it, yet, I have to fend for myself and my family? If it really must be done, than let it continue on. Just let me kill one of the bloody creatures at least."

Kalmar tipped his head outside the Willow as the comet flew by, his eyes widening shortly before turning toward the bartender, and then looking outside once more in haste movements, especially for an Orc before his shoulders relaxed, and he leaned back on his usual pillar... he didn't speak, not even a word as he mulled over the thoughts in his head. Must've been seeing things.

Lily Janssen read the note, sighed and nodded. "These next couple of days will be hard.. But it will be needed." She yawned and stretched, continuing her walk towards the Greygate Clinic.

Luz Maroto pursed his lips as he read the announcement, and would give a sigh after he was done. "Why when I just arrived in the city, everything is going to shit? Says something about my luck, huh?"

Harald von Drachenburg stepped dutifully through the halls of Kurtenwald Castle. A young squire ran up to the aged Paladin, offering him his new cape. Harald stopped for the brief moment, taking the garment from the boy. He held the pristine cloth in his hand, unfaded from the sun and soft to the touch. The knight looked up from it to the boy, "How old are you, squire?"

"Seventeen, my Ser."

"How are your studies?"

"Fine, Ser."

The boy had given short and conditioned responses, he was clearly still learning and eager to impress his peers. Harald would nod his head, ushering the boy along as he went to fasten the new cape around his neck.

"I pray that you never have to experience the horrors of this world. I pray that you live a life free of suffering, free from this forsaken city..."

His voice echoed into the emptiness. He was alone in the hallway. With his cape finally secured, the Dragon Knight began his pace again. This was his duty after all. If he were to die tomorrow it would be for the sake of his honor. This is the life of the knight. The life of a Viridian Knight. A short life if it is to continue like this.

Fen'nan Solaveira scowled you herself once again, reading this over and per usual, souring. "I fight the bloody Dread Dragon and the city bloody tells me to just go FUCK myself. Well FINE. Bloody piss to you too, friggin rich tits."
~~
Linnea Fristadvlom peered out her window after reading this, squeezing her eyes shut and entering into silent prayer. "Oh Spirit..."

Sidaige skimmed over the note, crumpling it up to toss into the empty streets. The imp then continued to march on, searching the frozen city for a certain Isldar.
"At least the others are safe."
