Prologue;
Imagine Lord Of The Rings in Minecraft, but my friend doesn't know it's being acted. But there is still that element of realism because the enemies/actors are legitimately trying to kill each-other.
Hello! I got back into the server for a month or so now, and I tricked a friend into coming on telling him about all the new stuff, like horses, role-play names, for example. He usually get's pretty bored of things quickly but I managed to keep him sticking to it. I wanted to arrange a surprise for him, not because I want him to play with me, just because I like doing that kind of thing.
I told him about a made-up faction that has race division within itself, wars within itself, etc. That there is quests they make you do against other races within that faction on a Lord Of The Rings type scale. For example, I told him you're put into a group of people, that you from now on do these massive scale quests with. People you build bonds with, and when someone dies they cannot return to that group and do the quests with them anymore, to add to that realism that if someone dies you've lost a friend and you can't play with him anymore.
We're both Elves, and I told him that the main wars within the faction are Elves versus Orcs, with occasional help from Dwarves and Humans, etc. And I made up that Orcs will launch random attacks on these Elvish settlements and Elves would do the same, and that Orcs have many but poor equipment but Elves have few but are well equipped. To give it that Lord Of The Rings, nine versus twenty feel of kicking Orcish arse.
I need to first make this faction, which I will be doing tomorrow, and then build the Elven city of Alberich. Which will be done in Ellador. All of which I can do by myself.
I told him we should travel to Alberich on the weekend to stay there while I get accepted to do quests for this faction which I am pretending I am joining when it's really mine. So at first I only need a few actors, to play Elves living at Alberich, perhaps the leader of Alberich, and also I need Orcs to launch a small attack on a camp me and my friend will set up while on our way there.
We'll work out the details later. But when it comes to the actual quest we're given, I'll need tens of Orcish actors to play the enemy that are hunting us down for whatever we're carrying, and the groups we're put in are pretty diverse, so it won't just be a group of Elves carrying this important item, there will be a couple Humans, a Dwarf, another Elf. Just to add to that Lord Of The Rings feel...again...
I know some of you will be thinking; "What's the point in playing those Orc actors, they're pretty much there just to get killed." No, they're not. They're just given, say, iron armor with an iron axe to attack with, you will still be trying to kill us, but in an organised at certain points kind of way. You most probably won't win but there will be more of you than us.
