Calemberg Processions
The fliers about what used to be known as Calemberg were nothing but shredded papers now. The citizens dragged their feet against the cobblestone streets, weary, confused, and just plain tired. Their old liege had delivered them kind words -- words on paper. Nothing was by mouth, and as far as the people knew, the man barely care for them at this point. The last battles just weeks past had devastated the people, countryside, and cities, all at the expense of the petty games the nobility played.

The Santorski proved distant, perhaps even cruel. Their cries of mourning and distaste had fallen on deaf ears, and their previous lord offered nothing but inked word. Daily life dragged on for the next few days until it all boiled over: The people decided to not take it anymore. Weakened to the state they were, a violent revolt would not suit them. Instead, the people began to strike. Delaying their taxes, disrespecting the House Santorski's banners and men, and even hunger-striking. The people yearned for a word, a word with someone of the nobility. Whether it was the Santorski or Typhonus that answered that call was to be determined.

Clean up in Hellar Tellarna
Cedric Kade led an army of 1000 troops to Hellar Tellarna, split off from the main Kade army. The army felt slightly uncomfortable with Cedric in it's lead however, not only was Cedric short in comparison to the majority of the troops, he appeared careless, unwilling to strategize and inexperienced. The attack took place on the early morning, Cedric's troops taking up positions where the Mountain army had done so before. The defences of Hellar Tellarna were still trashed by the time the Kades charges, and nothing really noteworthy happened. The battle was effectively a mop up as the Elves were outnumbered 10 to 1. The losses for the Kade troops were very minimal, while the entire Elven army was crushed. Cedric achieved some glory in the battle, distinguishing to the troops that despite their hesitation and reservation, he was a good fighter and led the battle to victory.

Second battle of Taure Tinechor
900 Elves stood strong against a 4000 numbered Kade army at Taure Tinechor. Most of these elves were left overs who had ran back into the ransacked town of Taure Tinechor, making make shift defences. Thomas Kade personally led the assault on the weakened rabble with his retinues William Kade, Azarien and Draeden Ulimar and Aron Santorski, Cedric being absent in Hellar Tellarna. The battle of Taure Tinechor went roughly the same as the first battle of Taure Tinechor, the defences were breached quickly and after that, it effectively became a cleanup operation in the town itself. Draeden distinguished himself well when the left flank started losing morale due to Aron Santorski suffering a minor wound and leaving the fray of battle with some cuts. Azarian distinguished himself with great glory when he not only held the right flank when something similar happened to William as it did to Aron, he also rushed to the central flank to cut off an unexpected cavalry charge down the main road that could have severely wounded Thomas. The battle was eventually won with minimal losses. Cedric had meanwhile led his troops through Sül, finding it completely abandoned as he eventually met up with the rest of the Kade host in Hellar Tellarna. Both Kade hosts then re-united with the necessary boasting by Cedric towards his brother all the way to Madar Tellarna. Once the assembled Kade host arrived in Madar Tellarna, they were reinforced by troops from the Duchy of Nottingham flying the Red colors, and Paschen troops from the County of Outer Drachenwald. Additionally somewhat late due to delays, Santorski troops from the County of Merlau, effectively being Typhonus troops, the majority of them did not like the plan of having to serve the Santorski's, but agreed to fight for Thomas as he had supported Ulric in his previous endeavors.

Siege of Madar Tellarna
Madar Tellarna was a typical upstream old Elven city, Talar by ruins. The city dated back from the Elven Empire and the crumbling facades of overgrown temples were made apparent when the army approached. It did however not detract from the strenght of houses tall walls which were typical for Elven citadel cities. This was the largest battle seen yet in recent times, even larger than the previous Calemberg invasion, pitting 6200 unified Regalian troops against 5000 Elves defending the city.

The start of the siege commenced like any other, though for the first time, the Regalian troops had siege engines with them. The Red troops in particular manned the siege cannons aimed at the walls while protected by the Paschen Pavise archers on their front and flanks. For several hours, the cannon batteries would fire at the walls, explosive cannon balls wrecking the white stone and charring it black with cracks appearing all over. These walls were clearly an antiquity of the Elven Empire, as their thickness was no match for the heavy Regalian cannons.

As soon as the cannonade stopped, the Paschen troops marched forward and unleashed volleys of arrows onto the walls while the Kade troops stormed forward with ladders and rams intent to knock down the doors and climb the walls to take the fight to the Elves. This is when the Elves came out of hiding behind the defences. Meanwhile over at the Army host camp, Yvette Red and Alistair Red stepped forward to the cannon lines, the soldiers awaiting further orders. While sipping the tea, Yvette Raid stated to her senior officer "Aim a little higher darling". As Yvette dainty cupped her tea in her hands, the roaring blast of the cannons erupted once more, slinging the cannon shots over the walls to the horror of the Elves on top of them and straight into the city. As the Kade troops clashed against the walls like waves on cliffs and started raising their ladders up against them, the screaming and crying of dying Elves behind the walls became ever louder. Shells repeatedly flung into homes, exploding Elves hiding in their houses, against monuments, into temples, crashing into towers and anything tall enough to stick out behind the walls. As the buildings collapsed behind them, many defenders of Madar Tellarna were faced with the fact that their wives and children were dying behind them before the battle had truly commenced. Some ran, others stood strong, as the first ladders hit the top of the walls and the first Kade soldiers climbed up.

Those steeled for combat fought hard against the Kade troops, and a breakthrough did not yet arrive until Azarien Ulimar jumped onto the wall, holding off almost 200 Elves by himself killing them one by one. This allowed the Kade troops behind him to scale the wall, and the battle began in earnest. William and Thomas together scaled the walls and fought to the left as Aron Santorski and Draeden Ulimar went right. Cedric was somewhere in the middle having fun and scaling walls, but was not seen until the Santorski and Ulimar were caught off guard with a volley of arrows from a tower. Aron Santorski was hit with an arrow in his arm and dropped to the ground. Draeden Ulimar was unable to press on the attack, instead favoring to defend the Santorski now sitting on the wall grasping his shield with his only functional arm to deflect blows. Like a little devil, Cedric jumped from behind the lines, jumping over Aron and raced his way into the Elven tower, cutting down the enemy archers as he went all the way to the top. Once at the very top he climbed up on the roof and into the tower pike, unfolding his purple royal Kade sash, and tying it to the tower like a flag while shouting obscenities at the Elves below.

This signal was seen by the Reds meanwhile and Yvette halted the cannon fire, giving the command for the main line's advance. With the central walls fallen, the Duchamp troops climbed up the walls together with the Paschen troops to use the vantage point for archery. The rest of the Kade troops made their way down staircases as the first heavier soldiers burst through the front gates, now opened by the battering rams. Thomas and William once more took the central flank and pushed towards the central castle. Aron Santorski was carried back to base camp where the Reds would ensure care for his wounds, as he sent his Santorski troops after Thomas. Draeden and Azarien Ulimar pressed on towards the soldier barracks, slashing Elve after Elve on their way to the armory. Ulimar had turned into a total battle terror, the sight of him covered in dripping Elven blood invoking Talar conspiracy theories about Drow demon warriors, causing many of them to flee in terror. Cedric distinguished himself meanwhile bouncing from street to street with the Rangers from Torgunn, the Duchamp County. The Duchamp soldiers became very fond of Cedric's energetic and jovial fighting almost like it was an acrobatic stage play.

As Thomas and William arrived at the central castle in the center of the city, a loud explosion was heard behind them at the armory. This event signalling that Azarien had once more succeeded gloriously in his tasks, caused the remainder of the Kade troops to push forward. The Elves managed to hold the Kade troops to a draw inside the courtyard, but the sudden arrival of the delayed Santorski troops pushed the battle in the favor of the Regalians, sparing the Kade host from a costly retreat. Eventually meeting up at the castle after victory, Azarien Ulimar was given the honor of tearing down the Elven flag and raising the Regalian banner, claiming what was left of the city as their own.

After the battle, Thomas Kade received the honorary mention of achieving victory for Regalia, but true heroes of this battle were Cedric Kade, Draeden Ulimar and Azarien Ulimar in particular. Azarien Ulimar was not only given the merit medal for contribution, he received the highest Imperial recognition for non Humans, and was given honorary citizenship to the Regalian Empire, making him technically par to Human citizens. Most of the Elven defenders were put to death after the battle, and the civilian population was allowed to leave or remain in the broken city. Fires raged all over the city, and the Kade troops never made much effort to put them out. The food in the city was taken by the Regalian troops, resulting in an acute famine among the Elven population, causing even more to die.

The south of the Elven Kingdoms had fallen to Regalia, most of the southern hold troops had retreated to the capital, the war suddenly swinging hugely in favor of the Regalians now a large regional city had been taken. The Orcs started moving into the Elven territory as well, poised to strike at the next engagement, and even capturing many fields of battle south of Madar Tellarna.

Oh lawdy all dem rolls:

Across the towns and cities of Old Calemberg, town criers make their appearance, ringing bells in order to attract the attention of those wandering around.

"Citizens of Zastorzy, on behalf of Her Grace, Lady Lenora Santorski; you have gone without communication for far too long, and it is evident that this is the cause of our problems. It has been decreed that all towns and cities organise themselves to vote for representatives, chosen by the people. These representatives, will be invited to a council dinner with Lady Santorski herself to discuss the issues plaguing our streets, and to come to as many compromises needed to replenish the land.

Your protests too have not gone unnoticed, while food and shelter is available at a variety of homes, tax avoidance has become par for course. It is wished that Lady Santorski will soon hear of your struggle personally; but in the meantime, all tax will be temporarily lowered by ten percent, in order to make them more easily payable for those adversely affected by the recent battles.

Your voices have been heard, it is time to enter a period of peace and prosperity for all!"

Three warships, each hoisting the banner of the House Typhonus, docked on the coasts of what used to be known as Calemberg. A number of servants, guards, and Ser Ulric Typhonus himself unloaded and made way for the closest town. After arriving, the Knight of the Tower himself stood before the townsfolk to speak.

"People of Calemberg! It is quite evident what is occurring on our lands. Lenora Santorski has promised you the right to elect your own representatives, but yet she cannot drag herself from her posh estates in the north to come and speak with you personally?! Wretched, I say! All that the Santorski can offer you in this time of dire need is the promise of change, but do you really expect that change to come after they have gone deaf to your cries for so long?! Let us not forget their true intentions for this land, my people! They have already tried to erect temples to false gods, and preach their vile word upon our streets! Who's to say that after they have silenced your cries with their hollow promises that they will not attempt to do so again?! We, the people of Calemberg, must remain strong during these trivial times!"

The small Typhonus collective traversed Calemberg, stopping at cities along the way where Ser Typhonus would make similar speeches to the collected citizens, and take the time to speak with them personally. The collective also stopped at Unionist chapels and cathedrals, where they would attend masses and speak to groups of loyal Unionists at the conclusion of the mass.

Go Team Typho! Win back the people!

After hearing of the many battles that had taken place, Daron immediatly travelled to the city of Madar Tellarna. Long before arrival, they could see the smoke rise high into the sky. As they came closer the true devastation was revealed to them. The many houses broken by cannon fire caught Dargon's eyes. "Since when did civilians become war targets" he thought to himself. He then noticed the carts leaving with city with its provisions. With an enraged voice he said: Those arrogant humans! They are just leaving them to starve?! Enough of this. Dargon quickly returned home where he would begin sending provisions north to support the now starving population of Madar Tellarna.

(ooc)
Seriously... your taking all their provisions? :^)... Thats ... .. .

+ would you be willing to make a nice map with the many landmarks mentioned so far? ;3 It would give a nice view of how the war is progressing.

@kniferharm You might want to read this.

Wow, Regalia are really really really massive cooks. How dare they steal Elven food, they are acting like absolute docks.
*Arwen, Hearing the report from her husband, realises that the devastation that is caused by the evil emanating from Regalia is unstoppable, except for something. Hurries into her library shutting the door behind her*

Acioa rolls her eyes after hearing of the war from a conversation in the tavern. Of course, they were only Talar elves, the elves which seemingly turned their backs on the forests, but she couldn't help feeling that this would lead to the deforestation of much of Daendroc.
She would almost be alright with it, if it weren't for the sheer stupidity and general threatening nature of this to her homeland. The Talar had turned their backs on the forest in their stone kingdoms, so it was only right that the humans should tear them down.
She only hoped that this in turn would not result in the humans making bigger stone cities, sprawling in an ugly mass across the forests, nature being bound and crippled to the humans desires, slowly but surely killing of her kin.
Ugh, the humans and elves were power-hungry, arrogant people. Honestly, if the Orcs would have a flash of destructive ingenuity and invent some more gigantic bombs and wipe out the Talar and the Humans, she would be incredibly happy.

As Adam was on a small sight seeing run past the Cities he would spot the devastation from afar, he wondered if he should deliver some of his cargo to them for support, but he figured it wasn't worth it, the elves of Madar Tellarna had taken to war against Regalia, they truly deserved to die in their burning wreck of a Kingdom.
