Casimir Barnet | @Jouster | Younger Brother: Despite being only a year younger than him, Byron acted almost as a mentor in his brother’s upbringing, ensuring that he had the guts to stand toe-to-toe with Byron himself. The two brothers maintain a strong bond to this day.​

Life Story


CHILDHOOD

• Byron Barnet was born on October 15th, 284 AC in a small village house in Caerdenland, Dragenthal.
• Byron is raised by his mother along with his younger brother Casimir, and his father works as a tanner in the village.

ADOLESCENCE

• Byron soon helped out with his father’s craft at around thirteen. While he’d clean skins with his brother Casimir, Byron also hunted for the same animal pelts on occasion.
• Three years later, Byron is sent to the local lumber mill to work there with his brother. Casimir mainly sticks to activities inside the mill, while Byron helps locally with the construction of new houses as well.
• Both Byron and Casimir have grown into adulthood after working under the lumber mill for three years. The mill had expanded since then, and the two Barnet brothers traveled to a nearby inn to deliver timber and firewood.

ADULTHOOD

• A group of mercenaries who had taken live captures with them were deceived by their targets who broke free from their imprisonment. The aberrant who they had taken captive found and took Byron captive, who was transformed into a Cahal after forcing him to undergo the Soulrend Ritual.
• Byron reunites with Casimir after a week of being apart, only to discover the two had succumbed to rival afflictions. While neither wishes to part with their newfound afflictions, it would not stop them from having the same relationship as they had always. The two flee north due to fear of how their parents would view them. They stop in the province of Starcastle, living there from now on.
• As Byron had the affliction which could genuinely pass off as a mundane visual trait, he had gotten a genuine job at a local tavern as a bouncer where he garnered both coin and experience.
• After gathering enough coin to be well off on their own, and hearing of hearsay about the ongoings within the Crown Isle, the two brothers leave for the heart of the Regalian Archipelago in 309 AC by sneaking aboard a supply ship.
