A smile and laugh as his tail moves in a tap beat rhyme side to side. How would your character respond to experiencing Fear? The Captain's response to fear is caution and aggression. He doesn't back down lightly but if its something he can't or won't fight he'll run. How would your character respond to experiencing Stress? When stressed he paces and tries to find something to do to distract from his stress. He has gotten used to holing up in his quarters on the ship in these times. How does your character view Law and Authorities? As a current Corsair he views the Regalian Authorities as alright. Given the Medes have orders to leave the Regalian ships be they also desire to not aggrivate the Guards. Hoping that doing so will ensure possible old charges never surface, but due to karma his view of law is more mixed. Violence has been necessary in his work, so certain laws he won't break like the capital or murder offenses but he sees little issue with breaking the other ones if it suits him. How does your character feel about Races other than their own? He doesn't much care negatively or positively about other races (save Kathar, Altalar, and cultures like the Ithanians). He regards Altalar with heavy disdain though he makes exemption for children deeming them to young to face disdain for their elders ways. The Captain sees Feka Asha as entirely acceptable provided them act like an Asha and serve well. How does your character feel about Religion for themselves, and other faiths? He sees the Asha dedication and faith as central to their existence. He often keeps karma at the for front of his captaining and even views ritualism as a manifestation of karma. If he continues to do good then his ritualism will indicate his karma by functioning. He has a free policy on religion people may practice what they want, yet on his ship worship of the Void, Exist, or Magic are heavily barred. Suspicion, while he ensures not a single magic user enters his crew and he practices the execution of mages/sorcerers if they are captured in raids. Since deciding to settle down he has become more open wising to use Regalia as a means to revaluate how harsh he should treat magic. How does your character feel towards their family? Extremely close, while most of his brothers and sisters serve in the two main Corsair Fleets. Two of his brothers and one of his sisters serve on his ship, but he treats them like the rest of the crew. Since he already treats his crew as if they are blood relations while keeping a iron claw when needed. What is your character the most proud of about themselves? His ship and Crew, they are his pride and joy since he hasn't found a bound mate. The Captain takes solace in the range of Asha and Feka Asha on his crew to give him a sense of family. He is immensely proud of their raiding days along with the adventures and personal moments they have all shared together. What motivates your character to move forward and better their life? Wealth and stability, the Captain has a element of greed in he enjoys the finer parts of life along with extravagant food/jewelry. For this he desires wealth but he also desires to provide a stable base in Regalia where his crew need not fear to return. He hopes to even bring former crewman to the city and make a name for themselves. What is your character's biggest insecurity? The idea that he might not be able to adapt to life in Regalia. He fears it might become a mistake that gets his crew arrested, hurt, or worse killed. He fears he might not succeed in regalia and instead shame the fleet and his family. What is your character's biggest fear? He fears losing his tail or losing one of his crew. He will fight, kill, and do horrible things if its the only option to safe guard the life of his crew, or one he cares for. Dislikes Flowerite- Used in the Whips of his former slave master. After the endless whippings the Asha has grown to hate the metal. Religion Baskarr (5/10)- Biriq once fueled by religious further shattered after his ressurection. Believing the Draconic ressurection a defilement of his body which would deny him paradise. Believing the sands of paradise might forever bar him, he’s lost much of his will to keep faith. Life Story (Required)0-5 Biriq was born on a Corsair ship during a terrible storm which his father took as an omen of his son becoming a booming presence. He would be proven right as the Corsair Captain and his Wife tried to corral a young Biriq who always ran wild trying to climb the mast as the crewmen did. The crew dotted on the young Asha who, at the time, was the youngest of Captain Kenedehoteph’s children. The young Biriq took a fervent interest in the tricks and acrobatic ways of the Corsair crew. 5-10 Biriq grew up on the stories of his father who describes the short period he was enslaved by Altalar. He pounded into his son that Altalar were untrustworthy snakes and to never trust one even in the direst of circumstances. The Asha would grow up being taught how to use his claws and agility to climb riggings and subdue opponents in battle. Even from a young age his father instilled the importance of karma in the Corsair life building the foundation of the laws he set down upon his own future vessel. 10-15 At eleven Biriq was sent to the Citadel in Ssil to learn the Sensy Discipline which he did rather well in completing the full schooling. He would further hone the art through his apprenticeship to his father within the Sefetjew fleet. It was on this fleet he finally became fluent in Daendroque which he utilized within the raids across the daendroc. On these raids he learned a lot about theft stealing from plantation after plantation in preparation for raids. 15-22 Once he was 15 Biriqhotep was given command of a small corsair ship to captain. While traveling in asha territory Biriq and his crew were captured by Altalar Slavers. He would spend two traumatizing years in Ithania before being freed by the Sefetjew. After that Biriq made a point to free any slave (or any race) that he came across. Sympathizing with all those who lived in chains growing a intense hatred for all slavery. Biriq would diverge from his father’s path here. Enlisting in the Nakhoor navy and graduating their naval academy at 22. 20-25 At 22 Biriq departed the navy and took up with the Medas for a short time amassing a crew of freed slaves. He would also go back and spend a few years with Sekphet his childhood friend. During his time in Farahdeen Biriq began to learn of the riches and treasure associated with the Saryid Empire. He began seeking out scholars and over time gained a full education in Qadir Archaeology . During his cosair raids, he would meet a fellow Asha captain during a negotiation (read extortion) for their cargo in return for safety. Biriq grew to admire his fellow Asha and at the end of the talk the two men had become friends and would remain such over all the years. 30-35 After years of sailing Biriq began to long for stability. The many days far from any kind of home weighted on him eventually leading him to settle in Regalia. After leaving regalia for a time he was ambushed by altalar and killed before reviving as a archblood.

He was raised around the language so I classified it as cultural. As one of the free languages besides parental language
Cultural languages can only be learned if they are listed on the race's page under language. Asha only culturally know Ibeth and Common. Daendroqin requires linguistics.
@bwmwags3 After conferring with other Lore Staff, I have come to the following conclusion: Despite your character being with the Sefetjew Corsair, I still don't feel this is reasoning strong enough to give you a free language. While the Sefetjew does raid daendroc on occasion, the corsair fleet also raids many other places with many diverse languages. Your reasoning to take Daendroquin feels flimsy to me, and is not justified. Additionally, Ssil is no longer in Daendroc. If your character had been born and grew up in Bestaal (the only Asha state on Daendroc), I would accept you taking Daendroqin for free. However, I would advise you consider rewriting your backstory for this, because otherwise it just feels like you're trying to bypass linguistics points for a free language. Add linguistics or remove Daendroqin.
