In-game Username: Birdsfoot_Violet Public in-game alts: N/A Departments: Lore 3 Staff since: November 2019 I probably should have done one of these a while ago, but here we are. I generally go by Alex to my friends or just a more causal birdsfoot. I joined massive "officially" in around August of 2019, after a few failed attempts to dip my toes in prior. I'm 22 years old, and current in the quarantine world limbo between college and job or going back to college for a master's in ???. I've pretty much been doing some kind of consistent RP since I was about 13, whether it be on minecraft, MMO's (Gw2 for a while, dipped my toes into WoW but nothing serious there), or DnD/Discord RP's. On and off. I really like DnD. Like... really. When I'm not playing/working on Massive I'm probably playing some variation of Gw2/Multiplayer survival game or really inane numbers game like cookie clicker. Or some indie game, I've recently picked up Diaries of a Spaceport Janitor which is immensely charming if not soberingly close to home. Massivecraft takes up the bulk of my personal time right now, split about 70%/30% between work and RP. I started my lore staff stint with Sorcery's introduction, and have pretty much had my hands in working to various degrees on most ability related updates since. I manage all of the paperwork/oversight for the Special Permission system, and general other managerial lore 3 business. I'm not sure if that's quite enough to ask questions on, but I'd be fine with expanding on any areas if people have questions. Basically, I would like to be a bit more personal with people outside of my immediate circle when I'm not doing staff work. I have a very staunch belief in not fostering the idea that I, as a staff member, am automatically your friend because of a response to a DM or a Ticket or player help chat. I want to keep a barrier between my presence as a volunteer worker and my presence as someone approachable. It is exhausting to be open to everyone always. So my clinical tone in text all stems from that. Anyone who spends any time with me in voice can tell you with certainty I am generally loud and excitable. Open for Questions?: Yes
i have a list of questions for you, ms. birdsfoot_violet. do you eat pineapple on pizza? when can i hold annie's hand four times? if we knew each other irl, would we be friends? how tall are you? where did you get your signature image?
perish. (pay me and maybe) I don't go out of my way to order it, but I won't like turn my nose up and lose my mind about it. Anytime. They have four hands for holding. Yes, nerd. 5'8 From a pretty cool friend of mine. It's basically just everything I am interested in exploring in RP/fiction. a me_irl, if you will yes. I think I have like 300 hours in ark right now. Venom to meet irl, the thing in concept.
What made you decide to become a staff member in what's considered such a short introductory period to the server?
:supertgun: I think a lot of it stemmed from having a very DnD brain about balance, abilities, and the like and seeing things I wanted to try and improve on/iterate. I'm an aggressive worker and kind of have an "always on" editor brain. I won't lie also, my two best friends who introduced me to the server both being staff was a contributing factor in wanting to be able to work with them. There's just something immensely satisfying to me to see things work, to see people RP with something I've written or helped work on, and it's just fun to be a contributor that way. persnaps
few questions for you: will the swarm continue to grow? your favorite song right now atleast? current favorite music artist? what's your favorite film?
always, as long as I don't int them into an alpha raptor again :*( I really like Run by Joji. Mitski always holds the top slot this is a tough one cause I'm bad at picking a # 1 unless it's for something specific like favorite feel good movie, what movie can I watch always, which movie left the most impression. I'd probably say the indie/student film The Final Exit of the Disciples of Eternia. It's a hand animated movie about joining a cult. It's really good. yes. I have a hundred+ song playlist with pretty much all kinds of music (video game music, pop, rock, indie stuff) and I run it on shuffle so it brings me great joy when it randoms into a song that's thematically fitting for the scene.
