The dark night sky shone faintly with the fading moonlight, gently flowing clouds aloft in the air. The trees were silent, all the animals at rest, the slow sloshing of waves sounding against the beach. The city was silent bar for the few taverns that hosted the two or three regular night drinkers. For many this was like any other night, but for a few, this would be one of the most memorable moments in their long lives. A small group of purple skinned elves and a few select others were gliding throughout the streets, slipping away from their homes and friends as they made their way to a unique and rare occasion. They gathered along the shore of the beach, long rows of benches spread neatly in the sand as the few slowly filed in and found their seats. A long gray-blue carpet was rolled out between the benches, the isle decorated with candles, flickering in the soft sea breeze. At the end of the isle stood an old wooden platform, covered in a similar carpet to hide it's worn look. A lone silhouette stood, his back to the moon. His white hair shone brightly in the fading light of the moon. Once the guests had all filed in and found their seats the man turned, facing his Sihn-Fallar as she slipped up onto the platform with him. His lips parted into a smile. Lazzul'ei gave him a nod, clapping his shoulder with a happy grin, "Everyone's gathered. It's time."
A symphony of bells began to ring at Lazz's que, signaling the beginning of the wedding. Ruvyn stood silently staring down the flower littered isle, dressed in his best outfit. A small concession of instruments began a slow and melodic song, flutes, violins and an Isldar vocalist, singing a soft melody. The sun began to rise over the horizon, casting a golden light on the bride. She stood, her brother Connor holding his arm out to her. Ellahie's lips were upturned in a slight smile, and she appeared happy. However, her hand gently wiped away at her face as she tried to hide the tears of joy that streamed down her cheeks. Her otherwise calm and collective demeanor seemed to fade away as her vulnerable state came to the surface. She glided across the ground and up the isle. Her gown glowed in the dull light of dawn, silver beads and jewelry reflecting beautifully against her dark purple skin. Stepping up onto the platform she stopped before Ruvyn reaching out a hand as they faced the sun, staring out over the glittering sea. Minutes passed before the pair turned to face each other, leaning down into a low bow. Ellahie looked up into Ruvyn's eyes, swallowing her tears and giddy nerves as she began her vows.

Minutes passed before the pair turned to face each other, leaning down into a low bow. Ellahie looked up into Ruvyn's eyes, swallowing her tears and giddy nerves as she began her vows.
"I, Ellahie Lloascua Daevaar, vow to always stand by your side, to face whatever woes we have together. I promise to care for you in sickness and in health and will love you unconditionally. I vow to stay loyal to you, and fulfill my duties as your wife to the best of my abilities. And also to lead a happy life with you." She sniffled at the last bit, a hand going to wipe at her face once more as she regained her composure. Then looking up towards Ruvyn.
And thus it was Ruvyn's turn. He extended his arm, the sunlight bending around his fist as his khoptar formed in his hand. He held it in front of him as he looked at his bride to be.
"I'm nowhere as good with words as you, however-" His words faltered, choking on his own nerves. "I vow to protect you, and our family. I will love you, forever more, and until the day I die I will provide for this family and endeavor to make you the happiest woman alive. I will love you, and care for you and protect you with my life." He sighed a breath of relief, looking up at Ellahie. Ruvyn looked into her face, his eyes glossed over as tears gathered therein. He parted his lips slightly, blowing softly into her face. Ella didn't flinch at all, looking back to him as she repeated the action, blowing a gentle stream of air into his face.
Lazzul'ei slipped up onto the stand once more, holding two glimmering golden bands in her hands. She wore the traditional Xavloay garbs of the Sihndar. The couple turned to face her, the gathered family and friends watching eagerly. Connor, sitting in the front row was trying to hide the fact that he was wiping away tears, his own wife Aprilly sitting beside him and looking endearingly at the two. Molly sat on the other side of the isle, watching closely as well, rolling her eyes as she whispered, "<Sihn> Never thought he'd be the one to get married." Ruvyn's own sister also sat in the front row, hugging tightly onto Silyoran, both bawling quite visibly and loudly at that, the rest of the Sihndar (except Dirak), the Hállëvandëia family, and the few chosen by Ellahie watched from the rows behind.
Lazz turned out to address the audience with the next part of the ceremony. "The two will recite the Vanda'resslanja."
One after the other the two began to recite the lines of the Vanda'resslanja,
"We stand today not as two individuals, but as one who is made of more. Let our voices be heard and our hearts judged for their merit.
We, faithful of Estel, do swear our faith, strength, and devotion to her teachings,
To the belief that she, who is greater than all, shaped this world and all who live within it,
We take an oath to the children of Estel, the Pantheon, from whom lessons and wisdom flow,
That these lessons shall be passed on to our children, and our children's children, until the day that we pass from this world,
We take an oath that we will uphold the tenets of creation, for the good of creation, and by the will of Estel,
For this, we share our lives, and for this, we stand today as one; bonded together, one heart, one soul, and one body.
We take an oath to stand firm against the darkness, for we are the torch that keeps the darkness at bay."
The last words flowed from their lips, the two Sihndar looking lovingly towards the other in the rising light of the sun. Lazzul'ei looked pointedly between the two a smile growing on her normally stoic features. She raised her voice for all to hear, "Your words speak the truth, for in them true enlightenment resides. Take pains to keep to your vows, for nothing is as lasting as Estel." The two raised their right arms, and onto them slid the An'ollen, the golden bands of the bride and groom.
Ruvyn looked towards the beautiful woman standing beside him, and without a second thought he pulled her close placing a kiss upon her lips, his face wet with tears of pure joy, Ellahie much the same. The two stayed still for a moment, locked in an embrace before they turned outwards away from the sun as they moved back down the isle, Crying silently as they passed all their gathered friends and family, here to share such an occasion with them.
As they dissappeared off into the distance the guests were left confused, the Sihn-Fallar still in her place at the altar. Minutes passed, the guests sitting in silence. A lone Khoptar flew down and imbedded itself into the wooden platform followed by a shirtless Ruvyn and Ellahie in her Xavloay outfit yelling down from the back of the isle,
"LET THE FIGHTS BEGIN!"
