Beatrice is, in short, a very powerful mage who, despite being an Ailor, still has dedicated her life to learning the powers of the Dictat and the responsibilities that come with becoming a mage. She is a Unionist, however, she believes that magic is a fix to most problems, and totally misses out on the purist elements of the religion. She enjoys being around mages, and mainly helping with her healing magic, which she is prolific for.
Beatrice's source of magic comes from birth, and since she is a Dictat mage, she has had a great understanding of her powers since a very early age, experimenting with her magic early on. Her parents, concerned about this behavior, sent her to be inspected by a Celate, who explained the situation to them and told them to seek out the Aelrrigan Order. This is how she started as a Squire, traveling to Gallovia with a knight and becoming a fearsome spell blade, even if she was not the one fighting.
Beatrice is generally introverted, though if someone talks about a subject she is into, such as demonology or her favorite fiction books, she is very easy to speak to, and will open up to just about everyone once the conversation is going. She is generally lawful good, however there is a point to be made that she is more neutral good given her sometimes wanton use of magic where it may not be needed.

Beatrice is your average Ceardan woman, light blue eyes, long blonde hair, standing at a less-than imposing 5'5 with a toned build, as she does try her best to exercise as much as she has time for. Bea wears glasses, as she has terrible vision, and does not feel the need to use magic to correct her eyes, as the glasses work well, however if she ever lost them she'd effectively be blind. Most of the time her hair is tied up in a large flat, high-bun atop her head, as she doesn't care for hair waving around when she's fighting or summoning spirits. She often wears her Aelrrigan uniform armor, however if not, she almost exclusively wears light sun dresses with thick fur coats in the winter if necessary. Beatrice has little to no scarring, as she hasn't ever truly been in an active combat scenario yet, thought that is surely due to change as soon as she arrives in the Holy City. Beatrice does not wear jewelry unless it is some sort of artifact, though she does keep a crystal ball on her person at all times as that is how she concentrates her magic.

Life Story
Beatrice was born into the middle-class of Rosendale, to a father who was a foreman at the local mine, and a mother who was a skilled enough tailor to purchase her own shop and provide for the family in that way. From an early age, young Beatrice was often left to her own devices as her parents worked, often playing with other kids, or sometimes spirits as her magic manifested. Her parents, who most of the time couldn't even see the spirits, worried that their daughter may have been born with some sort of disease, as they had never really experienced a born mage before. They took her to the best Allar physician who had no answers for them, probably because young Beatrice was terrified to talk to doctors about her spirit friends, due to what they told her. However, when they finally gave up on the medications the Allar doctor prescribed, they took their daughter to a Celate, who, after some time, eventually figured out that Beatrice was speaking to spirits.
After meeting with the Celate, her parents decided to send her off to the local Aelrrigan to Ashaven in order to become a Strongward Chapter knight, which the young Beatrice did happily. The Aelrrigans put an end to her communicating with spirits, and instead focused her magic more toward alchemy and medicine, as that seemed to be the best use of her powers. She took far more time graduating from Squire than the average knight, becoming a rank-knight at the age of 25. During her time at the academy, most of it was spent in the library, sometimes making artifacts to store spirits and demons, thought most of her time was spent learning the various schools of magic. During this time, Beatrice learned how to Veilwalk, she would use this to travel to the Dictat and hone her skills in her main schools, and learn more languages that she thought would be important.
When she did graduate, she would spend the next three years traveling the various provinces of the Archipelago, six months at a time she went to Ashaven, Solleria, and Kintyr most notably. Normally she would investigate people making deals with great demons, or providing minor exorcisms, though she rarely ever got into a serious fight. This is was mostly due to luck, as Beatrice has yet to meet a Lothar, or any sort of Rogue mage that would give her trouble. Recently, she was sent to Regalia due to the Mage Storm and the emergence of the conduits, but she has since missed the Magestorm entirely, and has yet to do anything with the conduits.
