Two small spikes jut out from the front of her lower jaw.

    Personality and Abilities

    TRAITS AND QUIRKS
    • Barbossa is an odd one. At first glance, she seems oddly stoic for a Maz-Allar, usually keeping a straight face. In reality, she’s quite emotional; her emotions just come in intense, quick bursts, almost like an explosion.
    • While she may be vicious at points, Barbossa is extraordinarily generous, and enjoys sharing what she has with others (save for anything in her precious hoard). There’s no need to be shy about asking her for something. Odds are, she’s already offered to give it to you first!
    • She’s not particularly good at it, but she enjoys dancing. Unfortunately, she has a tendency to knock things over with her tail when she tries to do so.
    • For one reason or another, she has a tendency to take those younger than her under her wing. She enjoys the company of children, sometimes feeling as if they can keep up with her better than some adults ever could.
    CORE LIST

    • Character Alignment
      • Lawful Neutral. Barbossa considers herself to be a soldier, first and foremost. She will place her trust towards whoever’s leading the charge at the moment. And, like most Allar, she has utmost faith in her race’s caste system. Many Lawful Neutral characters follow a strict code, just like Barbossa.
    • Character Personality Type
      • The Executive. Executive personalities center themselves on what is right or wrong, and tend to focus on order. They can also be family oriented. Executives may have trouble seeing eye-to-eye with people who don’t follow the same path they do.
    • Character Religion
      • Barbossa wholly believes in the philosophy of The Great Alchzech. However, she is not a deep thinker. She won’t spend extensive amounts of time thinking about religion when her energy could easily be directed elsewhere. (4/10 in piousness)
    Weaknesses:
    • Crass
      • Unfortunately, unless Barbossa is around those she truly expects, she has a lot of trouble holding her tongue. This makes her quick to berate others and even quicker to defend her pride if she feels as if she’s been insulted. She is the type who most definitely speaks before she thinks.
    • Stubborn
      • While it can be advantageous to stick with what you believe in, Barbossa will often clash with others over matters both important and unimportant. It takes a lot for her to apologize and admit she is wrong. It typically takes someone from a caste above her to point out any errors she might have made.
    Sword Collector:
    • While Barbossa has a fascination with weapons of all sorts, she gets especially excited when she gets to be anywhere near a longsword. This might be because during one of her hunting trips, she encountered a blacksmith with a blade so sharp, she swore it could cleave the sky itself (though that is likely just an exaggeration.) He let her handle it as a show of kindness, and from then on, her love for swords was set in stone. Nowadays, whenever she sees the glint of steel, she cannot help but feel excited.
    • One of her biggest goals in life is to master the art of swordplay. To this end, she’ll spar with anyone if given the opportunity.
    • Like most Allar, she hordes alchemy ingredients, but she also keeps swords as well. They’re all very precious to her, and she has meticulously recorded when she got them and what they’re made out of. When she has spare time, she’ll polish them and sharpen them.
    Delightful Diner
    • When she has the chance, she will bring her siblings to any tavern she can so they can sample the dishes with her. After all, dinner is a great opportunity to socialize, and treat her friends to something tasty.
    Vicious Huntress
    • There are few things that excite Barbossa more than a good hunt. While it’s a good way to gather food, she finds herself enjoying it for the fact that she can test her mettle instead. Hunting is also great for bonding in a group!
    Life Story

    Birth-Youth:

Barbossa was born on the outskirts of the Crown Isle to Als-Allar parents. She was immediately placed with a Maz-Allar mother and father. She maintained a very close bond with her birth parents and her siblings in spite of their separation. However, she was particularly close to her Als-Allar sister, Vellosi, and her Mai-Allar sister, Elzzerre.

Being that their daughter was a Maz, her parents knew that they had to train Barbossa to the best of their abilities. There was nary a moment where she wasn’t made to think about battle, or guarding her Digmaan. Not a day passed where she hadn’t sparred with one of the other Allar in her village; to fulfill her role as a Mu-Allar, she had to be a perfect warrior. Though some might consider her upbringing harsh, Barbossa did not take the time to question it.

She spent most of the free time she had with her previously mentioned sisters, taking them on excursions out of the village. Barbossa enjoyed these little trips more than anything in the world. She felt satisfied when she was able to successfully guide her typically timid sisters around the forest, and encourage them to explore and salvage ingredients. She happily took on the mantle of being their “older sister”, even if they were hatched around the same day.

Her life completely changed, however, when Elzzerre ran away from home. She left a note, stating that she no longer belonged within the caste, and that she needed to find her own path. Barbossa searched the village, its outskirts, and even the villages nearby, but she found no sign of her beloved sister. Her adoptive parents told her to give up looking for a traitor to the caste, and she reluctantly agreed. Her mind buzzed with confusion on what could have caused her sister to abandon the caste. No matter how hard she thought, she found no answers.

    Adulthood:

The rest of her life continued relatively peacefully, up until the Digmaan of her village died. At around the same time, Barbossa heard word that one of the villagers, who frequently traveled to Regalia, caught sight of a very familiar Mai-Allar. Barbossa, with no Digmaan to protect and a sister to find, made her way over to Regalia immediately, where she hopes to find the truth of why Elzzere abandoned her family.

@Katiesc i fiddled with barbs point distribution; i gave barb one unspent point in dancing and two in fist combat. instead of gaining points from age in bodycare, i gave barb the rest of her talent points for bodycare, and placed the rest of the remaining age points in unspent pool.

Barbossa is also slated to became a Von Kerle, so i added mutations in preperation for that. i changed her name to fit with convential allar naming schemes while also listing her previous names. finally, i removed mentions of the outdated terms "al-allar" and "maz-allar." all changes are in bold!
