so, as you may have seen by the title, no i dont wanna ban regals. But here what id like to sugest. When a player(or staff) gets banned their money would be transfered to the RegalianBank. If they were to get unbanned well then staff could give back the money(either by apply on forum or make a ticket) and if they dont get unbanned well then the server jsut gained regals.
sound simple?

well you may ask how would staff know how much the player had? well its simple spreadsheet would be plenty enough.

now i know this seems dumb and would only add unnecessary work to staff, but now instead of having liek 17 million regals inactive there would be more out there

I don't see any benefit to this. It just changes the regals from one inactive account to (essentially) another. It isn't being circulated, nor is anyone going to see that money regardless. If anything, it removes some people from the baltop list, which really doesn't make an impact to begin with.

Exactly what benefit would be gained from doing this? There is no benefit from removing inactive regals and moving them and then being inactive again. I would say if you receive a ban for 3 or more days, you should have all of your regals removed perminantly as an added punishment. But your idea here has no logical use. What happens with the regals in the regalian bank? Does it just sit there or what?

Massive doesn't have a normal functioning economy. Putting regals from a banned account to another account doesn't contribute much worth the effort to the system, because regals are created on the daily by /vote.

What MAY cause the money statistics to look better is to purge the accounts of people who have been permanently banned with no chance of appeal, as well as purge the actual accounts of one-time new players who tried the server out but didn't like it and didn't come back. This might make the average and median data more accurate. I don't think that the inactive regals should be transferred to a different account though, especially an active one. I see no reason to manipulate what this server calls an "economy" any more than recent changes already have. There are definitely some unforeseen consequences to show themselves when it would be too late.

lolrip chapper's 100k

Afaik RegalianBank is a faction, thus part of the economy, but it just doesn't go anywhere except my account.

(To explain: I use RegalianBank to draw money from the server to hand refunds to players when needed, I store my actual Regals in an account called Krogen)

Well it's also used if staff give money for events, but yeah.

But that's a good point, so it wouldn't do any difference moving it to that account versus keeping it in that one person's account

Instead of moving it, if a player is perm banned and stays that way for more than three months, it could be deleted. Sunk out of the economy's records, since it will never be used again probably anyway, its not reflective to have it screwing with the medium, average, total, etc info.

If its over like, 5k though moving it incase a refund is needed might be better... idk

Don't return it... make it actually be an inconvenience to be banned other than not playing for like a week while you get an appeal.

Why not repopulate the money back into the economy, for argument sake mr B gets perm banned for let's say hacking, he says 100,000 in his account, as mr b has no chance of ever returning, why not push his money into the regal lottery, I haven't voted in a year so I don't know if it still exists, but if it does, it would be a great way for some players to earn big money and an incentive to vote, as theoretically the jackpot would be quite large

If it were added into a jackpot system I would say the more votes you have a week the higher the percentage of the pot you get.

So, it its 100k regals, and ou only voted 10 or less times, you could only get 5%, which is still 5000 regals, so not a bad haul. But if you voted on several sites, every day, managing to do say, 50 votes in the week, your possible cashout is nearing closer to 50%.

Jackpot would need to be exceptionally rare though, or the economy collapses as everyone just gets thousands of regals constantly. A 1/500 thing or lower maybe.

Just an idea to throw into the pot.

Use the excess wealth in the economy to subsidise faction owners for their wars & upkeep. They will lower taxes and everyone will be better off.

Trickle down economy.
