Bancroft Chancellery: Mercy, Law Changes, And Civil Status.

THE LORD CHANCELLOR OF THE REGALIAN EMPIRE
A PROCLAMATION

On this day, December the 9th, 308 AC, I, Lord Chancellor of Regalia, make the following proclamations.

• On the Subject of the Petal and Crookback Burnings, all major individuals responsible for the Crookback Burnings have been captured and sentenced by State, Law, and Crown, and thus that matter is put to rest. Certain Coven Leaders may yet be charged with related crimes, but the Violet Order's interests will turn to caring for its citizens, over desperately hunting for criminals without urgent reason. Regarding Petal Court, the individual Cal has been sentenced and punished, and the individual Oldritch, who also was held responsible for the recent Magestorm, has been forcibly purified and cut off from the Void, complete removal of their Occult and Magick status.
  • The Lord Chancellor has therefore kept his word to not execute any member responsible for the Burnings, but will not exercise that mercy in future cases. He publically thanks the Crookback Council and Violet Order for their cooperation and competency in this matter.

• On the Subject of Regalian Law, a New "Regalian Noble Law 14" has been added.
  • "To repeatedly avoid paying one's legal taxes to the Regalian Crown, State, or Military, is illegal"
  • Naturally, one cannot be charged with a crime committed prior to its law passing, but the exact financial accounts of all Nobility will be heavily monitored, and the current 35% tax rate will be strictly enforced.
  • The Violet Order and State Authorities will be dispatched to collect unpaid Taxes from here on out.
  • More Legal Reforms may follow in the weeks to come from the Crown and State.

• On the Subject of Assemblies, the Next Assembly is called and recognized for Saturday, December the 12th. The Four Primary Topics will be listed below should their name and brief argumentation (baseless and motions with no support will be dropped) be sent to the Lord Chancellor's Office. Non-nobility will of course have to have a noble present their arguments. It shall also be noted that the Government will be adding individuals to the Advisory Cabinet and wider State Government, and therefore "Letters to Impress" should be sent by Friday Afternoon to be considered.

• On the Subject of the Violet Order, the long-respectable Law Enforcement Order is undergoing reform this week. Details will arise in the week to come, but in the interim, the Commander Howlester, Commander Typhonus, Commander du Triege, and Commander Sorenvik. They shall all receive temporary orders from the Lord Chancellor in lieu of the Lord Commander's recent resignation.
  • All Violet Order Guardsmen are generally advised, until the Reform is finished, to go about their law enforcement with an air of mediation and guidance, over searching for who to punish, and to think not of themselves as seperated charters, but a more united and respectable Violet Order.
• On the Subject of Civil Status, the following law changes are made.
  • Isldar, Yanar, Varran, Avanthar, and Sihndar are moved from Protected to First Civil Status.
  • Manathar remains Protected Civil Status. They are joined by Ka- and El-Maraya, rising from None Civil Status.
  • Kathar and Haat-Maraya remain Outsider Civil Status.
  • As established by my predecessor Louis Delmotte, Half Races with two First Civil Status parents become First Civil Status, Half Races with one First Civil Status parent become Protected Civil Status. Half Races with no First Civil Status Parents become None Civil Status.

The rulings of this decree take the full effect of State Law.​
