The House von Drachenburg in coordination with the Imperial Court's Master and Mistresses of Celebrations is pleased to host the Imperial Joust of the Autumn Festival. Nobility, aristocracy, knights, and citizenry are invited to gather and spectate this display of mounted chivalry, as competitors take on each other for the title of Champion of the Lance. Those who wish to prove their merits are invited to register for a position in the bracket. Knights are especially encouraged to compete, in order to represent their Order in what may be the last joust of the year. May the Imperial Spirit guide our noble competitors, and may the strongest lance prevail. OOC Notes Who? Nobility, Aristocracy, Knights, and Commoners alike What? The (potential) final joust of the year Where? Jousting Grounds When? Monday, October 19th @7pm EDT (see calendar for local time) Why? Honor, Glory, and Fortune. And for Knights, the change to knock their rivals into the dirt and show their Order is #1 How? I will be providing a modified dice system which provides a slight benefit to individuals with the following proficiency points: Husbandry Art, Shielding Combat, and Spear Combat However! Anyone is free to participate, even if they do not have any of the above proficiencies (you don't even need an approved character app). All you need is to be around when your name is called on Monday night. A bracket will be created along with the rolls the Friday before, allowing all participants to see who they are facing off against (and perhaps even find a way to rig the event in their favor :o) To apply as a contestant, simply fill out the very short prompt: Character Name (or link to a character app) Group Representing (Noble House, Knightly Order, Mercenary Company, your mother, etc.) That's it, all you need to ride a horse and knock off the competition, huzzah!
Character Application: Karp Kippings Group Representing: Villiers-Eclaire Order ((I do not know what my work schedule looks like on this day and it’s never consistent. So, I may be working))
Registration is now closed! With 13 competitors, this is the schedule of matches. Each joust shall involve three dice rolls, with the best 2/3 taking the victory. If an individual does not show up to their match after 5 minutes, they are disqualified. Contestants should arrive 15 minutes early to the event to avoid such.
