Wind brushed across the green field, carrying with it the scent of the salty ocean. A figure stood, looking across the vast cliffs that made the Eriu-Innis Isles. Fire-red hair waving in the breeze and eyes a shade of green only matched by the surrounding growth, she turned to head back to the settlement, tucking her curly hair behind her ear as she went. As she made her way over she want stopped by a small rabbit, accompanied by several babys. They made eye contact and she smiled as she crouched down to pet it's head. Startled, the creature ran away, taking with it it's young.

Opening her eyes, Aurnia O'Sullivan finished strumming her harp and looked up to the surrounding crowd. She smiled, soon after standing and giving a courtesy as people clapped. "A tune from my homeland." she announced, explaining to the audience.

As the gathering dispersed she stood, hanging her harp on her side and walking around the corner into the Golden Willow Tavern. Laughter and shouts greeted her as she approached and she moved to sit down at the bar, ordering a strong ale. "Been awhile, Lynn." A gravely voice greeted from behind her, and she turned to offer a small wave to the Notherner.

"'Ow've you been?" she asked, her accent stronger than usual. She had finished the mug and was now ordering another.

"Holdin' up. Yourself?" he responded, briefly looking toward the entrance as a noblewoman strolled in. He had a look of slight unease as he looked at her, but it faded as his gaze turned back to Aurnia.

"I've been well." she responded, before noticing his wariness. "Say, i'n't that the lass you got in a fight with the other day?" A brief smile of amusement would cross her face, as she recalled the event.

"No, no. Not her." His voice would be a mixture of tiredness and exasperation. "Could I hear a tune of yours?" he would ask, changing the subject rather quickly "I hear you've finished another one."

"Jus' finished playin'. Ye should've come sooner!" she would give a short laugh, before taking a large drink from her mug. The man would sigh, moving to sit next to her and ordering a drink.

As she placed her now empty mug onto the counter, she'd get up to go back outside. "I suppose I could play another one. Better hurry up and get out 'ere!" she'd call as she left the building, heading back to the corner that she'd been on previously.

The man sighed yet again, this time longer, as he finished his drink and headed outside. As he did so he was greeted by the sound of a fiddle, joined by the plucking of a harp. He turned the corner to see Aurnia and a man with brown hair playing, gathering around them a small crowd of people. He smiled, closing his eyes to listen to the seemingly Daen tune.

I'm not sure where I was going with this story, but I hope you enjoyed! I felt like writing something about Claith, and decided to use my old character Aurnia 'Lynn' O'Sullivan.
