@Missmaggy2u gave me a cool idea during our discord talk, an art challenge that doesn't involve the usual subject of of your own character in some different AU or exposition, but rather, to draw a character which would be the ideal physical partner of your own OC, i.e, to draw a character that is the ideal physical attraction of your own character. It might be a cool thought experiment to compare this to existing characters, to see where you can spice up the individual roleplay with others in ways you might not have conceived of before, since we often rely too much on our OOC planning to dictate who our characters are attracted to, and stay attracted to.

For those who cannot draw, participate by using pictures and/or descriptions!

For those who can draw, don't be lame and draw your already existing IC romance partner or use existing art of them! It is exceptionally rare for IC partners to be the perfect attraction partner, besides, that would also be a really lame shortcut into the art challenge. The point of this art challenge is to get people who normally don't interact to get talking about potential plot lines they never considered before.
 
Alright I guess I'll go first (I already had a vault of character art saved so it was easy to find one from my stash)
Here's my chosen OTP for Dune Ureyn
I chose this image (credit goes to Pinterest) because the character shown seems like he's able to hold himself and be a big boy when he has to be, though you can also see the softer side to him. Dune's ideal 'type' would probably be best described as tall dark and handsome, though also someone that can allow Dune to be the more dominant one in the relationship at times.

Enoch Marinos' Ideal Partner:
Enoch is an total twink and while a part of him enjoys time with older men, he would ideally seek a physically attractive Caucasian man closer to his age with dark hair and facial stubble.

Ardige Viduggla's Ideal Partner:
Ardige is a "bear" or "daddy" possibly in terms of physical sexual definition. He rarely interests himself with people his own age and instead would seek lithe, young and attractive blondes.

Jairo Ramos' Ideal Partner:
Jairo is a lover and a fighter and is a "manlet" due to his muscles and short stature. He enjoys that he can dominant people despite this size and would seek out taller people. Specific details do not much matter to him but the images generally represent what he looks for in women and men.

Lana Asska/Henric of Heeresveen's Ideal Partner:
Lana is technically bi as well but as he greatly prefers males over females, only engaging with females of his own race to procreate, he enjoys dark haired, muscled young men with a bit of facial hair.

So! Explanation cause I feel like it!

Cause Ellao'jana is a Cielothar, she is more so to be attracted to Avanthar. Also because Cielothar and Avanthar relationship stuff are all over the place, lo! We have this puppy here.
Ella finds having people close to her that are masculine, or in the least athletic, very comforting. Ella also doesn't have any sense of what is considered formal clothing and informal, so perhaps the tribalistic look is ideal for her. (Also now I finished the drawing this character looks suspiciously like Ella, just a lighter brown color of hair and taller... And Avanthar.)

Honestly, I really like this character, and because I'm lazy I don't like having more than one character so perhaps this could be fuel for someone's ideas, idk! Anywho! That's my bit!

Kat's ideal lover would most likely be an Isldar due to her distaste of breeding with other raced. She, under no circumstances, would ever fall for a woman, as she prefers the masculine type, with, more often than not, a beard. She also respect those who are decent fighters, and despise those who can't fend for themselves. Clothing wise, she'd likes a ragged look, though with a touch of class. Practical, a tad formal and comfortable. The femme loves sharp jawlines too, along with the odd scar dotted about the body, with a tall stature.
 
fjola likes only one lady.

eirain is a very closeted bisexual, who likes basically anyone who's bigger and more muscular than her, and also, a plus if they have excessive body hair

Amelina prefers people who are older and taller than her. She tend to like people who are Dressolini or Daen, liking the tanner skin. She enjoy the facial hair as well. Take my quick sketch that's not great, but I did what I could

Proximity to Sigurna Wodenstaff just got a whole lot more complicated.
 
Juliette would, of course, only want to be with an Ailor- which type could be any number considering she finds Alt-Anglians & Regalians, Daen and possibly Dress (she hasn't met any thus far that she would consider ever getting with, generally because they're hotheaded and annoy her) as all attractive. Generally though, she'd probably stick with someone with similar traits to herself- brown or black hair, fair(er) skin, and blue or green eyes. But for the love of God, let them have some sort of facial hair, please. Personality wise, she's focused on someone that is motivated to achieve and better themselves as well as her, a man that is truthful/honest, as well as motivated or extroverted as she can't really stand quiet people except for a select few.

Now, for Merina, it is a lot more difficult to pin point someone who she would be attractive to by physical appearance as she is often the type to ignore and fall for a personality (I KNOW, now cliche)- no not really, she actually just falls in love with everyone, leaving it hard to decide. If she had to choose who she was with though, it would likely be a Avanthar/Cielothar or Ailor (any Ailor type at all). She does prefer that they be close to her age though and if she finds out that their 20+ years old than her will reject the idea of liking them as she considers them old with her childish mindset despite being twenty. The only thing that she's really worried about is that she would like the person to be 1) open-minded (hey, a Sinning mage needs someone like that) and 2) a good conversationalist.. to make up for her lack of ability when it comes to talking and holding a conversation with people.

One thing to note though, is she would like her lover to be taller and stronger than herself- which would be easy for the latter. This is so she can rely on them to protect her- whether her lover is male or female though, she doesn't really mind.~

Despite the fact that Wyn usually prefers women's company, she would actually adore the luxury of having a Humorrin lad her age that was more docile than she is. Wyn desperately wants to be given affection, but also wants to remain the leader in her relationship. I couldn't help but lovingly name him! I call him Finnur! I will probably do a full art piece of him and maybe a skin in case anyone decides to play this handsome baby.

Unlike most of y'all alistair has a horrible taste in what he wants and really needs to take some therapy about it. while he's fine with just about any woman (or man but he's still not fully come out), while he does enjoy his signficiant other to be attractive to him - usually by, some degree of tan, and he'd rather have them not be a complete stick -- but he'd like to be able to run away with them in the sense that he could leave his depressing, graying reality into something that he could consider himself 'safe' in. in which he doesn't have to have any qualms in the outside world besides his lover, and could just spend his days revolving around them. this also includes being locked in a house all day, surrounded by cushions. but due to the impossibility of it, and the high chances of it failing, he keeps this to himself. it only has happened once and now that he looks back on it he kinda liked it.

not to mention the pride and valor input, this sort of thing is literally one of the darkest things he wants due to the fact that he'd tolerate abuse if it meant being able to be a full-on escapist, and so, is basically impossible to achieve properly.

Atticus is a complicated sort. Typically, he's not too picky when it comes to appearance, choosing to value personality above skin-deep beauty; however, if he had to single out certain characteristics that he finds attractive, there are a few aspects that he's drawn to.


In general:
• Dark skin: Atticus goes wild for darker complexions. He couldn't tell you why if asked, but because his first [and arguably only] love was of a deeper skin tone, he's inherently biased toward those with dark skin.
• Short, thick hair: Atty doesn't necessarily dislike long hair, he just finds it to be rather cumbersome in the sack. Additionally, shorter hair tends to draw less attention away from someone's facial features, which can enhance a person's face quite nicely.
• Average height: While of a slighter build, Atticus likes to think of himself as a dominant personality. He feels that when he stands at a taller height, it's essentially a way to reinforce a sense of power.

In regards to women:
• Curvaceous: Atticus is an a$$-man, through and through. He's incredibly enamored by wide hips, meaty thighs, and slender waists.

In regards to men:
• Beards: Facial hair gives him one more thing to grab onto, so that's certainly a plus.

Abigail Langlais-Tucker
The Drunk​

Abigail, I think, wouldnt be terribly picky about what her lover should look like. Her expectations are low, quite honestly; she currently doesn't expect to find a lover any time soon.

Though, she does have a few guidelines as to what she finds attractive.
  • She definitely prefers paler skin over darker skin. She's fine with tan skin, like the Daendroque, but not as dark as Qadir or Songaskia. Sorry.
  • If she could choose, she's like to have her partner at a similar height as her. Abigail stands at only 5'1, so she's incredibly short for an Ailor. She'd rather not have to look up all the time when around her partner, so people of average height or below are good for her. Height isn't a total deal breaker for her, though it is something she looks at.
  • She likes facial hair, a lot. Beards, please. Also thick hair, she loves thick hair. She doesn't pay much attention to type or color, though.
  • Body build isn't much a concern for her. She could care less if you're a literal hunk of muscle, a twig, or packing pounds at the waist.
  • Personality and views wise, I think the only things Abigail would require from a lover is kindness, tolerance of drinking and gambling, and tolerance of magic.
Again, Abigail isn't really all that picky. Truth be told, she's willingly court somebody who wasn't even Ailor, provided she found them attractive.

If I'm perfectly honest, Abigail would probably would really like a dwarvish lover. Just saying.
 
Czys would have very basic requirements in a partner. Those being they must be Ailor and they must be male.
Her tastes were rather average too.
  • She could easlly say she preferred darker haired men. Be it long or short, as long as it was well kept,
  • Facial hair was also up there in the top three, assuming it wasn't overly wild,
  • Someone older. She wasn't picky on the age difference, though I doubt she'd go for anyone over double her age,
  • Someone taller was also preferred. No dwarves here.
Her preference in personality could be easilly split into two. Each led to a differently built sort of male.

Scholary Types
Czys was certainly not against the type of man who preferred to use his mind rather than his physical ability when it came to line of work. She could appreciate a man who was well dressed, and was slimmer/less built than most others.

Warrior Types
The ones that make girls swoon. Gruff, built men covered in scars. What girl didn't love a man like that?

Qadir, definetly. He is also a sucker for curly hair, so a girl like this would be ideal to him. He would also prefer a woman that would say what she meant the way she meant it, one with a bit of a sassy side to her.

A Ch'ien-Ji lady would be his dream, someone who is visually pretty and healthy, yet shorter than him. He would strain more towards the craftsman type, since he himself finds intellectuals to be a hassle. Perhaps a seamstress, chef or something along the lines of that.

Lucien would only want to be with aliors, and only female aliors at that.

Hair: Lucien prefers darker colours of hair (brown's and blacks) as opposed to the lighter colours (reds and blondes). He is not especially bothered with the length, though would prefer straight to frizzy hair- without minding smaller curls.
Height: Lucien himself being an impressive 5 foot 6 (he's short), Lucien prefers women of the smaller variety. From anywhere from 5 foot 5 to 5 foot 1, he doesn't mind. He'd just rather be the taller one in the relationship, even if the difference is minute.
Body build: Lucien would actually rather have an athletic/sinewy partner as opposed to curvaceous body. This is because the first option means his woman is capable of taking care of themselves, and also that they partake in physical activities, be it a fighting school or something like horse riding or running.
Other: He prefers blue eyes to brown, though green are also perfectly acceptable. He also prefers fairer skin, though again, tanned skin (such as Daen skin tone) is also good. Age-wise they can be his age or below (to about 18).
 
Solaine has always been drawn to more muscular men, more or less as she sees that they can hold their own. Facial hair attracts her as well, preferably dark and groomed, if not groomed, stubble.
Preferably her ideal partner would be both taller and older than herself.
As for more specific features, besides the facial hair, she adores longer hair and lighter eye colors. Sharp jawlines catch her eyes as well, but not overly sharp to where they become an eyesore.

Well, I'd draw it if I didn't have the art skills of a potato, so here goes a description for each of my currently mostly played characters.

Casina would want someone smaller than herself, weaker, and possibly someone shy/ nervous. She has no attraction at all to females, and finds muscular, aggressive males to be offsetting. She dreams of having someone who enjoys hugs, is innocent enough so that she can teach them of the world, and that admires her. She wants the comfort of knowing that she's needed.

When it comes to body types, someone short, possibly frail, but never scrawny. Brown hair drives her wild, and blue eyes are just delightful.

Leona would enjoy someone slightly sarcastic, and much tougher than herself. She wants someone that could sweep her off of her feet in an instant. Someone that doesn't care about her planty nature would be preferable, but someone who is ashamed of being with her would please her also, a masochist, if you will.

Leonara prefers the larger body types, but can appreciate a leaner, sleeker frame. She wants someone fast on their feet and rather overbaring.

Ra'Tena would similarly want someone who loved her regardless of race, she wants someone who she stands on equal ground with. Someone who enjoys a lot of physical contact, and if she let's herself go, playing with her.

Ra'Tena enjoys those of similar height to herself, but anyone taller will be much preferred, she likes to feel like she's accomplished something, and by having someone much larger than her be her lover, she's made an accomplishment in her eyes.

Ragnhilde feels that her work comes in front of her own life, but in being recently decommissioned, she has more time to fantasise.

Ragnhilde likes men who like her, she doesn't have a very approachable demeanour, but not at an ice queen level, she's just... Quiet. She doesn't get out much, and is always trying to find more work.
She'd appreciate someone similar, a hardworking wallflower much like herself. Black hair and green eyes are what she enjoys. Or, someone very outgoing, and slightly overwhelming. Someone who drags her into situations and gets her to socialise, because as she is now, she'll remain desolate.
 
A fellow Velheimer is what he'd be looking for. He'd prefer an equal strong and fit partner, someone that is also fashionable. The more beard they have, the better it'd be. He can't help himself, beards are just way too nice. Similar looking to this. :)
