As he grew older, he began to push away the 'negative' aspects of the culture, such as the prejudice towards the Daendroque and strict conservative politics, while favoring those he saw as positive, such as the importance of arts and music, among other things. Secondary Ambitions: Primarily, growing the family's wealth and influence is what Aronne believes would best honour his father's memory, but in addition to that he finds it important to grow his musical abilities. Clothing: Aronne dresses absolutely differently based on the occasion, though one thing is kept - his family colors are displayed prominently on anything he wears. Height: Aronne is quite tall for a Dressolini man, standing at six feet tall. Body Build: Aronne has only recently gotten himself back into shape, and is at Ripped, working towards Muscular. Weapon of Choice: Aronne's weapon of choice is ideally a crossbow, but in most situations having a crossbow is not practical, in which case he'd use a longsword. --Visual Information (Expansion)-- Spoiler Facial Features: Aronne has a strong, defined jaw, chiseled features, and high cheekbones, typical for dei Veleno males. Body: Aronne's muscle mass is heavier in his arms and shoulders, with some extra in his chest and stomach. While his legs still have their fair share of muscle, they have less than any other part of his body. Fashion and Accessories: Aronne is unafraid to try bold and unique outfits, but his favorite consists of a shoulder cape, necktie, boots, and loose sleeves tied at the wrist. He doesn't wear a large amount of jewelry, but he wears a single pendant of a wolf in the style of his family crest. Voice: Many years in Regalia had caused Aronne to lose the majority of his accent, though it can crop up whenever he speaks Dressalo. He still retains the Dressalo pattern, meaning fluid and eloquent speech, with a quite extended vocabulary. He also will occasionally be unable to find the word he's looking for in Common, as Dressalo has much wider variety of words to describe things with. --Personality and Abilities (Required)-- First Paragraph: To others, Aronne likely is seen as a social and polite person, if not a bit proud. Maintaining an honorable attitude and living by the Code of Ehren is obviously very important to him. He's also quite charitable and helpful to those in need and is sure to attend fundraisers or donate to charities when possible. He's not the type to pass by a beggar without dropping a coin or to hear a scream from a dark alley and look the other way. Around a woman, another aspect of Aronne's personality used to emerge, a more charming and passionate nature. Unfortunately, due to recent events and thoughts, Aronne seems to have lost sight of that part of himself. Second Paragraph: Inside, Aronne is essentially a goal-driven person who is afraid of missing out on their goals. Everything he does fits somehow into a greater purpose, whether it be spending the day at his family's restaurant, or sparring with a friend. He is confident in who he is as a person and in his goals in life and doesn't let others' opinions shake that confidence. Aronne only truly fears a few things. His worst fear is being alone forever, which fuels his constant searching for a woman to court. The other worries he struggles with include his fear and hatred of the Void and all that comes from it, the guilt he harbors over his father's death by the Bone Horrors, his on-and-off drinking problem, and his tendency to get too easily attached to people and worry about them at a problematic level. Third Paragraph: Aronne is much more able to show emotion when around those he's close to than when he's with strangers, whether that emotion be anger, joy, grief, or something in between. He also is more open about his goals, and isn't afraid to say what he hopes to accomplish, something he stays far away from in public. At the same time, he talks less, since he already knows his loved ones and doesn't have as much to say. It's also harder for him to speak of his father when around family, as he still blames himself for Emilio's death, and feels like he took his father from his siblings. The contrast between Aronne's behavior around close friends begins and ends with Aronne being a bit more comfortable around his friends, as he's spent a lot of time away from his family, and feels responsible for many of their hardships. Aside from this, Aronne considers his close friends and his family one and the same. Fourth Paragraph: Though he makes his fair share of mistakes, Aronne has a good heart. He is a kind person who does his best to help others and support his Emperor. He isn't usually very hateful, though his prejudice towards Void-beings such as Kathar and vampires can bring out that part of him. He doesn't look at evil deeds alone, what matters to him is their motivation. If someone killed a man who had threatened his family, or a teen stole to support their ailing mother, for example, he would have more compassion and understanding towards them. In his mind, the motivation and thought process behind a deed matters as much or even more than the deed itself. Fifth Paragraph (OPTIONAL): Aronne found great conflict regarding his religion for much of his life, as his beliefs lined up with Unionism, yet the harsh treatment and cruelty towards other races made him very uncomfortable. This inward conflict pushed him away from strong faith for a long time, before the Emperor's "retirement" allowed him to truly feel the Spirit's existence in a way he never had before. His faith found its home in the Aspect of Domination, their ability to treat other races more respectfully yet still follow the religion making it perfect for him. His near idolization of the Drowdar for their role in fighting off the Void and his strong hatred for it led him to the Order of Preservation. --Personality and Abilities (Expansion)-- Spoiler Likes: Weapons ~ Aronne can always find the beauty in a well crafted blade. He's used quite a few different blades in his life, starting out with a Dressolini Spadi, then moving on to a longsword in the School of Viridian, and now carrying a small (twelve inch sword), and the elegance of a perfectly made sword never ceases to amaze him. Wine ~ A beautiful woman, a violin, and a fine wine in the park is Aronne's definition of a near-perfect evening. Though he typically wouldn't pass up an invitation to a meadery or decline a shot of vodka, Aronne's preferred drink will always be wine. Women ~ Aronne has always been a bit of a 'ladies man'. As of now, unfortunately, he's been unable to stick with one woman for more than a few months. He doesn't intend to be this way forever, but currently, he simply makes the most of his wealthy bachelor's lifestyle. Dislikes: Fencing ~ While he has nothing against the blades used or the people who participate in fencing, he hates the sport. If asked, he'd simply say that he finds it impractical and ridiculous, but the truth is far from it. Fencing is a sport that Aronne never truly grasped. While his family and friends were able to master the complex footwork and dance-like movement of the sport, he always treated it more like a true sword duel, and fought more realistically. This led to him being disqualified from any competitions he entered, and eventually gaining the scar on his face from an injury during a grudge match. The Void ~ Due to his father losing his life to the Bone Horrors, Aronne has an immense hatred for any Void-related creatures or practices. While he never saw eye to eye with his father on many thing, he still cared for him greatly, and things such as Sanguines, Kathar, or Undead bring back the painful memory. This also gives Aronne an immense admiration towards Drowdar, seeing them like protectors of Aloria and all within it. --Life Story (Required)-- A bit over the word limit, so here's a bullet pointed summary: Born in 276 AC to strict but loving parents who encouraged a lot of activities, namely piano and art. At age 14, joined the School of Pavisa, taking after his older cousin, who he admired very much. Spent some time after he got out doing private guard work for various noble families on ships and airships, and "catching up" on everything he missed out on while training. After he felt he'd seen a fair amount of the world and experienced enough new things, he returned home and was taught about the family businesses by his father, which helped them grow closer. His father was away when the Bone Horror Crisis began, and was killed by them, leaving Aronne as patriarch. Aronne was unable to handle this stress healthily, and tried to simply shove it down inside. Disappeared to a small home on the southwest countryside coast for nearly a year to "find himself", for lack of a better term. Came back with a renewed since of optimism and opened a restaurant, then joined the Vigilant Shield. As the stress began mounting again, the same feelings began coming back to him, stronger, and he began to lean on alcohol to handle things, which unfortunately made it worse. Fell in love with a woman, whose support eased the troubles he was going through greatly, and things began to look up for him. He left for a vacation with her to Montania. While there, she left him, causing him to begin on a downward spiral. His self-destructive behavior caused him to be forcefully removed as patriarch of the family, and eventually had to leave the family estate and return to Regalia. Thanks to the help of a friend, he's begun putting his life back together. Long version is outdated, will be updated soon. Spoiler 276-286 AC In a warm summer in Montania of the year 276 AC, Florian dei Veleno gave birth to a dark haired, green eyed boy who she named Aronne, after her father. He was an energetic and excitable boy, and his parents always made sure that his energy was focused on something, often rushing him from one activity to the next. He grew up with his younger brother Marco, and though they always worked to outdo each other, they were close and stayed good friends throughout their young lives. In 280, his parents had another child, a girl named Adrienne, and in 282, a fourth, who they named Carlotta. The relationships between the four had their ups and downs, but in the end they looked out for each other like they’d been taught. Once Aronne had finished his basic education, the strict nature of his parents began to show itself. Time for recreation was nearly inexistent, and the majority of his time was spent at either more specialized schooling, piano lessons, art lessons, or fencing practice. It was around this time when Aronne discovered his love for sword dueling and simultaneous hatred for Dressolini fencing. His style of sword fighting greatly differed from that of true fencing, which caused him to be disqualified from any fencing competitions he was entered in. His parents decided to bring up with him the possibility of the Viridian Order. His father told him that if he truly wanted to learn to sword fight and to fight for Regalia, than he could, but he needed to be absolutely sure about it. This decision wasn't an easy one to make, especially when Aronne found out he would need to be away for ten years at the School of Viridian to complete the education, but in the end, Aronne decided to go through with it. The prospect of becoming a full-fledged "Knight" to a ten year old is quite enticing, and he didn't exactly think the long term consequences through. 287-297 AC Aronne's first year at the School was by far the hardest. He didn't know what to expect, but he certainly wasn't expecting to be thrust right into a strict and rigorous education schedule. It took some time for Aronne to adapt to this lifestyle, but once he did, he found he enjoyed it. Unfortunately, towards the middle of the training, he grew dissatisfied and irritable, losing friends and respect, but was able to turn himself around soon and find his passion again. He found good friends in the School, though since then he has drifted apart from most of them, at least, the ones that are still alive. 297-302 AC During his time at the School, Aronne had always wanted to see more of Regalia and the countryside, so for the following two years after his graduation, he found private guard work for a few noble families, and drank in the city lifestyle. There was a stark difference between it and the more rural land in Montania he grew up in, which was what attracted him to stay. He also caught up on everything he had missed out on growing up in the strict Viridian lifestyle, and returned to his old hobbies, painting and music. For the next five years, he was able to keep up his practice and return to the castle when he felt like it, but still had time to pursue more recreational activities and for these five years, he was at what he used to think had been his peak. This ended when he left to support the Viridian Order in the Elven War of 302 AC. 302-304 AC After returning from war, Aronne needed to be with his family, which they greatly appreciated. He moved back home to learn the workings and policies of his family's holdings, and how to effectively run a business. He traveled with his father to different joint wining and spice operations with other families, and began to get a good understanding of finance and how the family business was run. With his father's guidance, he was able to set up a new vineyard in Ithania, and hire others to effectively oversee it. Seeing the disciplined and confident man his son had grown into as opposed to the unmotivated and rebellious child he had started out as helped strengthen Aronne and his father's relationship, and he spent the final few months of these two years home, with his family in Montania. Unfortunately, there was an issue at the vineyard Aronne had set up in Ithania, causing his father to travel there to take care of it. 304-305 AC Aronne's father was in Ithania when the Bone Horrors rose, and was quickly overwhelmed and killed by the creatures. This was unknown to Aronne and his family for quite some time, but in his father's absence, Aronne was forced to take his place as the patriarch of the family, and run every operation he could from the Archipelago. During this time, his mother had a stroke, and he grew distant from his family, a result of him worrying for his father and taking responsibility for whatever had happened to him. After all, it had been Aronne's vineyard that he had traveled to investigate. His family tried to reason with him, and tell him he couldn't blame himself, but it didn't change how hard he took the news. His distant and cold nature grew worse when he found out about the destruction of the Viridian Castle and the death of much of the Order, meaning everyone he’d been close to in his life, save for his siblings, was most likely gone from him. By the time the Bone Horror crisis ended, and the dei Veleno family received word that Emilio's entire area had been destroyed, it only confirmed what Aronne had known. He spent the months following the crisis traveling again, surveying the damage to the family's businesses. Fortunately, in the wake of this tragedy, he was able to begin a successful shipping business out of the high need for the transportation of people and goods. With his new leadership of the family, he moved to Regalia, hoping to gain a name for the family and honor his father's memory. Here, he joined the Bluesteel Order, before disappearing for nearly a year in the summer of 304 AC, and reappearing with little to no explanation, other than he had been "away." In actuality, he had fallen into a period of depression brought on by the combined stress of the First Elven War, losing his father, the Bone Horrors, and being thrust into this position with no time to recover from it all. After everything built up, he bought a small home in the countryside on impulse, asked his siblings Marco and Adrienne to look after everything, and spent the better part doing whatever brought him happiness, whether it was painting the sunset of that day, writing piano pieces, or trying different foods and wines. At the end of his sabbatical of sorts, he went back to a stricter diet, increased the very lax training regimen he'd been keeping, and moved back into the city. He was quick to join the Vigilant Shield, and hired several Dressolini women, including his sister Carlotta, to staff a restaurant where he played the piano for a small audience. The much-needed vacation did him a lot of good, and he was able to return to life with renewed purpose.
Here's my review - Skill Information The rank of a Viridian of the 'Warrior' level is First Sergeant, not 'Knight'. Visual Information State explicitly Aronne's body build. It seems like muscular, but I want clarification to be sure. It would technically be illegal to have a blade sheathed at your waist, even if it is just twelve inches. Personality and Abilities The third paragraph should be less about strangers and more about his personal interactions with close friends and famiyl. Life Story You should state where Aronne was born in the world. Make these changes in red and tag me when you're done.
I'll correct myself actually: So long as it is concealed under cloth or container, you can have it on your person. A well-hidden sheath along the body would be fine, but I believe that the waist would be too blatant to be acceptable.

Hm, I must have misread something. Rather, what I wanted you to clarify is the difference between his close friends and family, as obviously he would not treat them as if the same.

Here's my review. How did Aronne react to the destruction of the Viridian Castle and the killing of nearly all of the other nights? For reference, this happened in 304 AC. Other than that, I can't see other edits that need to be made. Generally speaking, unless you have made changes to an application, it won't need a re-review unless major lore edits occur.
