While there was no official statement, the continuation of Aiel members in the lineage led to a respectfulness regarded by other members of their settlement; a small village in the plains of Daendroque, near Caslin, surrounded by woods. ❥ Many elders of their family are part of the Circle of Aiel, often guiding younger Cielothar in the same direction, as it became somewhat expected for the All-Mother to bless them into the Circle of Aiel. .•✧ childhood ꒱࿐ »————————♡————————«❥ Arlayna grew up as an only child, but despite being without siblings she was never discontent in her solitude, finding a rather introverted peace within nature's natural song. She would often be found in surrounding woods between the shrubs, fallen logs and flowers with a book in hand, her compassion for literacy beginning after she was given a book filled with tales of how Estel protected them during the cataclysm. The stories themselves were mostly written in Modern Altalar instead of Plains, so she would often reread them and seek help for any parts she did not understand. Sometimes she would overhear other Ciellonian complimenting her intelligence, but she wouldn’t take much notice of them. ❥ In many of the stories, Estel is depicted wearing crowns of flowers weaved together between antlers and twigs. Arlayna would often mimic this, weaving flowers into her caramel brown locks and adorning hair clips made from woven twigs. ❥ As a child, with her familiar still retaining his form as an Elven Longear, she had decided on the name Onyx after the black gemstone she wore on a necklace that matched the dark coloured fur. .•✧ adolescence ꒱࿐ »————————♡————————«❥ Entering into her teenage years, Arlayna began to flourish from her period of introvercy and timid childishness, gaining confidence as her spark for charisma grew into a bright light of leadership. She would often be seen helping in any way possible around the settlement, finding smarter methods to make light work of tasking responsibilities, or leading prayer alongside the priest and priestesses of the village. She had always accepted Estel and the beliefs of the All-Mother, following patiently as her time for the Lightgiver Ritual approached. ❥ Midway through her adolescence, Arlayna was surprised to see that her familiar no longer appeared as the petite feline but as a sleek, black pathor without a patch of caramel orange or pure white to show. It’s glowing white eyes contrasted greatly against its pelt, but while it had a somewhat powerful presence, it was calm and gentle in its ways, the voice shared with Arlayna sounding almost wise and all-knowledgeable. ❥ Arlayna often sang after prayer or meditation to the elders, her skills in the art being cultivated and tutored by her mother. She often sang words of gratitude to Estel and the beautiful nature they were surrounded by, but her pathway to performance would be cut short as the ceremony arrived; The Cielothar was welcomed into the Circle of Aiel with joyous celebration. ❥ And so, Arlayna’s adventure into knowledge and science began, focusing her horticulture art on herbs that may develop into medicines and other natural remedies. She did not only develop in her intelligence, however, and was often complimented for her beauty, with long curls of golden-brown hair and bright green eyes that stood out against her tanned skin. .•✧ adulthood ꒱࿐ »————————♡————————«❥ Before Arlayna turned 20, happiness bloomed as her mother gave birth to a son, a new purpose called to guide her brother towards the Circle of Aiel. As he grew up, his behaviour was not like that of the other boys in the settlement, as he often copied Arlayna whether it be her hair styles or movements, speaking in the same way as her or echoing her interests. ❥ With the family lineage, she expected this to be leading Osira down the path of many Aiel, with logic and a thirst for knowledge, but when Osira was chosen for the circle of Suriiel it sent her into a tizzy. What was her purpose if not to guide Osira? What was missing that left her life so unsatisfied? It wasn't usual for Cielothar's to be unsatisfied, especially as they led such modest lives which were blessed by Estel, and thus she was led down a path of self searching. It began with books, but when the books ran out she ventured outward to cities and markets, where her taste for material worth came into perspective. It intrigued her, the use of finance, the sound of pennies dropping and vendors calling out deals, of indulgence and luxury, a world so foreign yet so fascinating. ❥ Arlayna said her goodbyes and left to study at the finance school Olamaan Economic Theoretica, followed by the diplomacy school Collegiate d’Évraux where she also learnt to speak fluent Ithanian. ❥ During her travels, she would often visit home bringing trinkets and gifts for her sibling, who now identified as Osira, a sister.
