╔═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗ ╚═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝ For what seemed like years, the Varran of the city, if not of the entire Empire, remained quiet and seeming to go with the flow, not picking fights or strongly siding with any one side. The feline race merely sat stagnant, keeping to their ways off in the city-states of Daendroc and recently seceding from the Empire due to lack of upholding the act of the Crown Alliance and failing to be supported during this famine. The union between races had failed. The start of the new year saw stirring amongst the previously silent race, the Varran of the great city of Regalia finally crawling out of their hiding place and no longer simply blending into society. With the current state of the world and the secession of the state of Ssil, it was time to push back, to regain a foothold but not standby idly this time around. Though, there was no Warran or even Sarran pushing for this change. No Yarran gathering ships to strongarm his way back into the Empire. Instead, a golden-eyed Bakrran, perhaps the least expected subspecies to take up such a position, and a Silven at that, saw to taking on this task. -=- Word soon spread of a successful vote within the Varran Court for a supposed Altaj of the Varran within the Holy City. One Kailu Frisque now sat at the head of the Varran, a bridge built for diplomacy between Regalia and the Varran states. Following the accomplishment of placing one such figure at the head of the Varran community the bright brick and stone district was dressed in red, orange, and golden fabrics to represent the step forward and celebrate. Varran, including even half-Varran, from all across the isle gathered to join in the festivities, growing hopeful for their races’ position within the world to regain prominence. Perhaps a small deal to most of the Ailor nobles of the city but if played correctly a strong ally could be gained for future strife which always seemed to find its way onto the doorstep of the grand Empire. Bit of a delayed post but I finally got around to it. -=- OOC The Varran of the city now have a so-called Altaj, or leader, amongst them in hopes of pushing their race forward. Kailu Frisque (@Timisc), a Silven Bakrran, is said leader. Varran are encouraged to get involved with the community and approach Kailu with any questions, ideas, or for a position amongst the hierarchy which has also been recently established. The Varran are far more lax etiquette wise and thus offer a unique take on noble-esque RP. To get involved simply find me IC or shoot me a PM with any interest or questions you have!
