Oftentimes she’d show hints of apathy when it comes to folk she does not usually meddle with yet she’d always display a cocky as a sign of her bluntness and audacity, making herself appear mannerless yet bold to others. Due to her appearance, Anastasia radiates a dangerous aura around her, possibly intimidating some at first glances. Naturally, her repulsive behavior and look would make a good number of people tend to avoid her. Second Paragraph: Upon the loss of her beloved crew and the deep hole losing her family left, Anastasia developed a materialistic tendency to serve filling what was lost to her while lacking the people she needs. With an undeniably strong love for coin which takes a special place in her heart, Anastasia sees herself as nothing but a filthy thief and lowlife. At times she takes pride in her success as an outcast, yet others the dreads the low she hit after her journey, a constant conflict with herself that is yet to be solved. Third Paragraph: Anastasia craves the kind of bond families have among one another, as she’s lost her’s in such an early stage. Underneath the nasty image of a dirty criminal she bears lies an abundance of loyalty and care she has to offer to the right people who offer those two in return. She’s capable of immense trust and that may be visible with how she led her men before. Once one would peel back all the layers they’d find her to be incredibly supportive and perhaps even a tad bit too protective. Fourth Paragraph: Her set of principles is heavily based off of one rule; treat others as you would want to be treated. This stretches to how she makes decisions, and who she chooses to involve within her setting. The same rule could also be interpreted to ‘eye for an eye’, as while she may return the good deeds one does to her, the same goes for all the misdeeds done against her. Life Story ࿇ ══━━━━✥◈✥━━━━══ ࿇ ࿇ ══━━━━✥◈✥━━━━══ ࿇ The Rayero family welcomed Anastasia to the world in the bowels of their family merchant ship, with her headstrong mother refusing to leave the precious load of opium they were delivering in the hands of her moronic husband. Growing up, remarks of Anastasia’s comfort aboard ships at sea were passed around the women of the family; only crying when the storms hit, or they were docked for too long. Through trading opium across the Empire, Anastasia spent a great deal of time on, around and aboard ships in her teen years, playing with her brothers and learning from her mother and aunts. Ports and bazaars became her playground, as she ran past the busy market stalls, stashing fresh pears and berries in her pockets, much to her mother’s dismay. Her brother, Ramón, became increasingly bitter and resentful towards his sister, seeing her become increasingly more intelligent and knowledgeable and thusly gaining more of her parents' attention; attention away from him. While docked in the city of Ssil, offloading some opium to some of the city merchants there, her brother, older than her by a few years, sold her off to a slaver. Thrown into rags and shackles, she was eventually tossed aboard a privateer vessel, the captain wanting someone small, whose stature would be better suited to pickpocketing and thieving than the rest of his boisterous men. Proving herself to be of more use than she was originally intended to be, Anastasia fended off the boisterous and rowdy crew that she found herself among, proving to be far feistier and louder than it was worth hassle over. Time past and the young woman fast became a personal confidente of the Captain as she began her adulthood years, serving as a ward and bookkeeper to the illiterate, bejeweled privateer. Beneath the tutelage of her captor turned father figure, she began to seek out more ways of proving herself to him, following his footsteps to a life of crime, bravado, and banditry on the high seas. She picked up the cutlass, extended a network of criminal contacts and gossip networks with fishing wives and merchants she met, and even found herself holding her own in tavern brawls and fights her crew begrudgingly dragged her into. Shaping up to be a charismatic, confident sailor and privateer on her own, the aging privateer began to take a similar stance that her elder brother did all those years before. She was loved by her fellow crew, more so than the captain, which stirred the aging pirate's paranoia. She found herself staring at the man she respected more than any other, with a loaded crossbow pointing directly at her as she sat across him. The options laid before her were simple, leave or be shot there and then. The former was chosen. Ejected from the crew she was raised around, Anastasia fell on hard times. Fruitlessly attempting to seek out her old family in Daenshore in small hopes they'd recognize her older and adult self, where she presumably was born, she attempted to build herself her own crew. Coinciding with the dawn of the Songaskian conflict with Regalia, she began a small privateering to take profit where she could. With a not-so-competent crew, she managed to make a reasonable name for herself but struggled to gain the infamy she desired due to her gender. She continued to wreak havoc with her fellow privateers, disrupting Songaskian trade routes and assisting the Empire on a small scale. In the Second Songaskian War, her experience and a slight increase in fame resulted in her gathering a much more successful crew for a second chance at the privateer lifestyle. Being much more successful on her second time around, she gathered a considerably more skilled group and began her exploits once more, to great success. Now with conflict, she could capitalize on being missing for some time, the wars of nobility and even help in the conflict with the Kathar being a possible venture for profit, Anastasia stands to reap and raid the seas once again, as well as strengthen her infamy in Regalia.
