    Personality & Abilities
    • Amahl is perceived by others as a colourful eccentric, sporting his colourful fabrics and intricate stories of travel. Playing the moniker of an adventurer, the Songaskian is a clear distinction from his kin - a great deal less hostile, with little intent on seeming frightful, aside from when jesting and telling tales of fright. Overall, the man is seemingly a gypsy, sporting talents of athleticism, music and illusions. He is clearly very optimistic even when the most dire of straits are afoot. This is not to say that he cannot be reserved and stotic, as this is very much the case when Amahl is in a state of focus and concentration. Moreover, he is very outwardly calculative and tactical, especially in battle, cautious to his own survival.
    • Amahl perceives himself as a slate - ever-filling with relations, talents and skills. Confident in his abilities, learnt intellect and charismatic cunning around others, the Songaskian takes great pride in the control he expresses over himself, however subtle it may be - be it in his maintained emotions or his lack of overindulgence. Like many of his kin, Amahl ignores his insecurities of being bound to family obligations or chains, blinding himself with personal achievements and signs of progression. Overall, Amahl sees himself as a man in control of his own destiny, indifferent of what his end goal is.
    • Amahl interacts with others in an openly friendly and optimistic manner, and very rarely rudely in response, bar his sarcasm and smugness towards those that might insult him. Though Amahl has very little to no connection with his family any longer, he treats his friends well, often buying them drinks and gifts on a whim. More often than not, this is to manipulate those he cannot convince with words alone, though the Songaskian does derive some joy from appeasing others with his opulence. It’s all a testament to his greatness, and a weight off his counted misgivings.
    • Amahl’s moral compass is that of a veteran and survivor’s - ready to do what needs to be done to achieve his success in any given situation. Trained into indifference towards such ideals as violence inspired conquest, warfare and a disregard for life that is not his own through his military culture, Amahl is not necessarily evil and enjoys acts of kindness - even if they are a self-glorification of how benevolent he is. His militaristic training takes root priority however, as Amahl will show no hesitation in face of an order issued from a figure above himself. This makes Amahl the ideal handyman and mercenary, regardless of task.
    • Amahl’s worldly view is relatively simple when contrasted with the complexity of his morals and history. Not only does Amahl believe himself privileged enough with the start in life he was provided, but he is prepared to make the very best of the resources, education and training he has undergone in accord with his goals of adventure and exploration. Amahl’s view on relation stems from his perception of the Sun - power maketh God. Amahl believes that any man, woman or beast with enough power and control to stake his claim as a God and hold it is deserving of the title, regardless of how. He began believing such following his meeting and capture by Reisa, the Vice Demon of Envy.
    Talents
    • Combat Ability & Experience: Though he is by no means an expert in any of his chosen combat paths, there is no denying Amahl’s variety of combat ability. That said, Amahl follows the path of a Jack-of-all-Trades, remaining malleable in his combat ability though far from a master without the proper experience and mentorship. Amahl’s combat ability statistics are as follows:
      • Turall Training & Experience: Warrior Level
      • Ranger Arcol Bow Training: Fighter Level
    • Militaristic Ability & Experience: Attributed mainly to his mental fortitude, even under a great deal of pressure, Amahl has been known for devising a plan of escape from start to finish, having led numerous military raids in the path with a cruel, methodologic mindset. Known for considering the tactical standpoint of a situation and turning disadvantages to blessings, Amahl is fully confident in his abilities of espionage and tactics, having lived both on-hands & tutored experience, as he was once tutored nobility.
    • Equipment Knowledge & Experience: By far the weakest of his talents, Amahl’s raising in Farah’deen and exposure to Qadir engineers has granted him limited knowledge of using small, distracting explosives, smoke bombs and grappling hooks when on missions. Though he is by no means a capable engineer, he is knowledgable when it comes to using poisons & antidotes from his homeland, such as the Hagaan Lizard. Amahl is not a bookworm, what he knows has come from more experience than study. This experience and his time with Qadir in Rivellia has also made Amahl a talented lockpick, though not yet at a Qadir's dexterous level.
    • Artistic Ability & Experience: An enthusiast for culture, adventure and exploration, Amahl is a player of various musical pieces collected around Aloria, either purchased from local vendors, bartered from various musicians, or even learnt from talented eccentrics themselves. Though he is not particularly fond of singing, Amahl’s dexterous fingers and trained shouting breath, once used for issuing commands now are tools for his music. Amahl is also a fan of illusions and magic tricks, often used at gatherings and festivities to impress others. The instruments Amahl currently plays are as listed below:
      • Lute - Taught to him by a fondly remembered band of Gypsies during a two long caravan ride. Though he was taught the basics, Amahl continued to teach himself songs and chimes along his travels. The cultural diversity he experienced certainly helped.
      • Pan-Flute - Taught to him by Yselle, an Ex-Ranger Companion of his. Though he doesn't particularly appreciate the aesthetic of the instrument, Amahl continues to play the pan flute in private as a memory to a departed lover and comrade.
    Weaknesses
    • Condescending Aggression: Though Amahl was trained from birth to avoid lashing out and directly getting angry at most people, be it his superiors, parents or otherwise most of his negativity towards others is expressed through a dangerous and incredibly prideful level of condescension and passive aggressive nature - which in the sewers or a bar is more than enough to start a fight. This demeanour, though common among his kin, is less than savory when up against the wrong kind of opponent. In fact, it's led to Amahl partaking in numerous bar fights in the past, suffering numerous cuts and jabs as a result. Amahl carries many scars from such fights even to this day, 'all in good, drunken fun'.
    • Loss of Left Ear: Following an unfortunate series of events, Emil's left ear was taken as punishment for his Sellsword Company's association with Einarr Norrvakt, by the Undercrown - all whilst imprisoned behind the Regal Bastion's walls. Though Emil has recently had a clay-moulded prosthetic stitched into place after paying off certain Clinical Workers and Qadir Tinkerers, he Sellsword relies more now on sight as a cause of his disability - his left ear's reception of sound now quieter than the right.

    Life Story
    • Amahl was born to General Hasad Al-Amirmoez & Reisa Imdal Osman Amali, the then Vice Demon of Envy. He was born in an illustrious temple dedicated to Reisa, a powerful Cult Leader and hidden Arken.
    • Amahl was taken away from Reisa and raised by Hasad as a prominent heir, despite not being the firstborn - all because of his heritage and rare slitted pupils, which Hasad shared.
    • Amahl was quickly admitted into Military Songaskian Lifestyle, pushed to the brink of breaking due to his Father's own fears of failure. For Amahl, this would start at the age of five.
    • Amahl took to his studies reasonably well, with a developing fondness for tactics and chess - much to his Father's delight.
    • Amahl's general training regimen and education ended at the age of twelve, where Amahl's accumulated knowledge was put to a practical test. Amahl's success in this test, parallel to some of his siblings' failures, made him many enemies.
    • Amahl began his training into the Turall School of Combat at the age of fifteen, this training lasting to the age of nineteen. This training would parallel his tactical learning and strategic military drilling - as his Father wished for him to be a valuable military asset to the family.
    • Amahl traveled to Korraz-Du at the age of nineteen as a reward for his aptitude, having earned his Father's trust. Amahl would attend the famous Winter's End Festival here, the Elniha Sihta’a.
    • Amahl would get into a fight with his envious siblings, leading to a magic and blade wielded battle royale between ambitious rivals. This would earn Amahl the quick disdain of his Father, who would send Amahl to his Mother, Reisa. This stay was planned to last a year.
    • Amahl was initially resillient to Reisa's beatings and punishments, though his will slowly began to crumble. After months in her fighting pits, he earned her grace, alongside a spot of one of her manipulated sons and worshippers.
    • Under Reisa's instruction, for fear of his life and safety, Amahl committed many atrocities, putting his blade and notched arrow to the innocent and guilty alike. Having feigned his loyalty for too long, Amahl escaped Reisa's encampment, intending to leave Farah'deen post-haste.
    • Amahl would be captured by the vengeful guards of a nearby razed settlement, recognizing Amahl's silvert traits as those of Reisa's raiders. For punishment of his heresy, Amahl would be executed at the Gardabbi Threshold.
    • Barely enduring the Gardabbi Maelstrom through use of wit and luck alone, Amahl would be rescued by the hands of Esrah Alwattah’s devotees, taken back to a camp to be treated and nourished.
    • Blessed with a second chance, Amahl took the devotees up on their offer - with clothes, a coinpurse and a full stomach, he set out on a Bahadyr to the nearest port. The Great Port of Hammaneh.
    • Intending to leave the Farah'deen, though lacking the guidance as to where, Amahl would meet Yselle, an Ex-Ranger turned Bounty Hunter and adventurer.
    • Growing into a close pair, both emotionally and in terms of skill, Amahl became something of an apprentince and partner to her - the two sailing to Rivellia at the age of twenty.
    • Amahl would stay with Yselle here for four years, learning the way of her Arcol Bow, whilst Amahl taught her the Turall Bladesman's methods - the two practicing and training rigorously to adapt to the other's combat styles. This placed Emil at Fighter level in the ways of the Arcol Bow.
    • Amahl would also meet many Qadir in Rivellia, namely the County of Avanca. He would pick up a limited skillset of Alchemy here, alongside use of such tools as lockpicks, grappling hooks and smokebombs.
    • Leaving Rivellia at the age of 24 alongside Yselle, the two would assemble a team over the next four years, with eccentrics of all mannerism.
    • Unfortunately, amidst an expedition to the North, Yselle would be felled by a particularly vengeful Northerner - one whom had lost his family to the Isldar further North. Setting Yselle to float into the ocean whilst aboard a flaming vessel, the team disbanded.
    • Having spent five years of his life raining the use of his blades, but more so his bow, acting as an archer and skirmisher to his team, Amahl would achieve the level of Warrior with skill of his Arcol Bow, under Yselle's guidance.
    • Amahl travelled to Regalia, as was the next destination on his agenda regardless. Now without a crew, he hopes to make a more lasting name for himself amidst the Holy City, uncertain of what perils and adventure may await him.
    • Having joined the Holy City's Sellsword Order underneath the Freisoldner Inspector, Jared Kade, Amahl began work for various wealthy Nobles and Merchants.
    • Having enrolled within the Freisoldner Sellsword Tournament, Amahl claimed his spot of fame as a champion, stealing the spotlight and earning himself not only the hefty prize of 2000r, but also a place of Captaincy within the Sellsword Order.
    • With much more funding at his disposal, Amahl has begun a continuation of his training within the Turall style of combat beneath a skilled practitioner of the style - hoping to reach the level of Warrior within the next year or two.
    • Amahl of Rivellia imperialised to Emil of Redange at the behest of his employer, Duke Albaer Ravenstad. This came with getting his hair dyed black and neatening his attire.
    • Emil, now a member of the Ducal Brichauds Honour Guard, continued his Turall Bladesmen training for the period of another two years alongside Regalian Nobility trainers and progressed to Warrior level. Having arrived in Regalia at 28, he accomplished this at the age of 30.

    Birth & The Initial Trial

Amahl was born in an illustrious temple to Reisa Imdal Osman Amali, a local Cult Leader of disproportionate power and ability. As per her agreement with the Father of his child, Hasad Al-Amirmoez, the bastard Amahl was taken away to be raised by his Father’s side at Amkhar as a legitimate son - spared a life under Reisa’s control.

Unbeknownst to young Amahl, the young baby was conceived as an alliance between the Al-Amirmoez Syndicate and Reisa’s Cult. Moreover, Hasad was displeased and greedy with his opulence, aiming to stake a claim of permanent power amidst the Masaya’s shifting political structure, with Amahl as a lynchpin - a Silvert unaware of his destiny.

As Hasad was a man of many wives and many more children, Amahl’s slitted glowing golden gaze was a threat to the security of the true firstborn and heir - as Amahl was clearly favoured by his Father above all. Whereas the rest of his children were left to be raised by their Mothers and the adequate Tutors, Amahl was tended by by Hasad privately.

Initially, Amahl was placed into a curriculum of general studies to the standard of Regalian Nobility, taught the ways of the Songaskian people and their language, Qadiriq. Moreover, Amahl was raised away from the company of his siblings, thus signifying the gap between them. This nepotism would only grow through the years, as Amahl displayed prominent skill in picking up concepts of mathematics and history with seeming ease.

Already clever for his age, Amahl was pushed into gruelling physical training at the meager age of five, learning to run, sprint, jump, crouch and even crawl. Though his many siblings took painfully to the training beneath Hasad’s military expertise as a General, Amahl’s outlook only pushed his limits - the envy within him only burning with each failure. He had to grow, had to succeed - it was all he knew to do. Regardless of the cost. It was at the age of seven that Amahl began to truly resonate with his Father, viewing him as a milestone. One he would surpass.

Already a capable acrobat at the age of twelve, Amahl’s personality was gauged alongside those of his siblings at the same age. Each were brought to a Slave, instructed with deriving information from them. Though the slaves were intentionally chosen for their skittish and fearful nature, Amahl took a route alternative to that of shouting and threats - instead negotiating with the Slave. It was Amahl’s unnatural calm and glowing gaze that burrowed past the defenses of the frightful slave, more so than that of repetitive violence. It was then that it was decided by Hasad that Amahl would continue his training as a soldier, being tutored in leadership and tactics by his best - much to the anger of many siblings. Already the young snake had many enemies on his tail.

    Adolescence & The General’s Guidance

Tutored on various topics such as the history of Farah’deen, its politics, armies and tactics, Amahl’s education and training grew progressively tougher. With his Father’s attentive gaze on him, Amahl was spared no mercy when developing, with each mistake rewarded with a harsher punishment - from beatings to whippings. Though Amahl tasted the opulence of a Songaskian Noble, he befell treatment of slaves depending on his luck. Though, to the militarily geared Silvert, this only strengthened his resolve.

It was at the age of fifteen that Amahl was deemed ready for combat training past that of dagger practice. As such, under Hasad’s direct eye, Amahl was trained by an exceptional Tutor of the Regalian Turall School. Though Hasad held a long standing hatred of the Regalian Empire, he could not deny the sharp, lethal results that this training would show. After all, as a General, Hasad had witnessed as much in the field of battle in his youth.

It would be four years later that Amahl would achieve the level of Fighter in the Turall Style - the process made indefinitely simpler due to how the style relied heavily on speed and maneuverability. This was the case as Amahl preferred his speed, due to his sharp reflexes. The years had been giving to Amahl, developing his body not only through combat training, but also the experience. Amahl had ridden alongside his Father now, partaking in raids of heretical practices amidst the shining city of Amkhar - his home.

Adulthood & The Chains of Envy

As a reward for his exceeding excellence, Amahl - who had been kept away from the rest of his family due to his demanding lifestyle, would be allowed to travel to Korraz-Du, at the age of nineteen no less. Though initially Amahl was pleased to attend the famous Winter’s End festival, the Elniha Sihta’a, Amahl’s distant family was far from pleased at the favour he’d curried with his father. Fortunate enough to have been taught social cues and behavior by the tutors and mercenaries he kept time with, Amahl disregarded his elder siblings - writing them off as weaker. Under effect of some particularly strong Qorijjian Auzar, a fight broke loose between the siblings.

Fires were cast and blades drawn, though eventually such behaviour was broken up by the local Guard. Enraged by the behaviour of his children, Hasad had them all punished. Amahl in particular was sent to serve under his Mother, Reisa, for a year - almost akin to being sent to a boarding school. Upon arrival, Reisa only laughed, mocking the young Silvert’s lack of magical training. She explained to him as to what his destiny was, and that it would be accomplished only through the use of her Bone Charms - augmenting his strength, speed and overall ability.

Amahl didn’t take too lightly to her news, disregarding her supposed Godhood and displeased by her use of artificial strength. Enraged by his behavior, she had Amahl lowered to a level of a slave - set to fight against others in a pit, all for her amusement. Though initially upset by his outburst, even Reisa couldn’t help but admit to Amahl’s skill with a blade and dagger. Pardoning him following a month’s worth of pit fighting, she absolved him - hoping that the punishment would have left her son subservient to her wishes. Though this initially seemed to be the case, with Amahl’s willpower crushed, Reisa would soon learn otherwise.

It was the dead of night when Amahl had packed up to leave, now twenty years of age. Having masqueraded as one of her loyal followers, Amahl had taken part in less than savoury acts of cruelty since his departure from his Father’s side - made to burn villages that defied Reisa’s control and extortion, slaughtering man, woman and child alike. Disillusioned with his Father’s fate for him, that being one of a murderous pawn, and his Mother’s maddening plans for worldly conquest, Amahl ran. Ironically enough, he would find himself captured by guards at a village miles from when he’d been prisoner - identified as one of Reisa’s raiders by a surviving victim. As per custom of great heresy, that being his affiliation with a notorious Cult Leader, Amahl was to be executed at the Gardabbi Threshold.

The Twists of Wind & Fate - Coloured Cloth’s Caress

Left atop the ring of nightmarish cliffs that occasionally hosted the dreaded Gardabbi Maelstrom, Amahl was intent on his survival. Buying into the stories he’d heard of his special eyes and great destiny for the sake of motivation, he suffered both physically and mentally to the skin-flaying winds - using shallow saves to avoid lethal currents and even going to such lengths as feasting on creatures trapped within the sands - mainly rodents. Even in such peril, Amahl could smile knowing that his life ending here would be leagues above being chained to either his Father or Reisa.

The punishment endured by Amahl only cemented this resentment, and upon staring into the abyss itself, the starved, battered and borderline nihilistic Songaskian would be rescued by figures clad in colourful cloth. Though initially he believed them to be figments of his deteriorating mind, his body gladly collapsed into their gloved hands. Upon regaining consciousness, the young soldier found himself at a camp near the edge of the Maelstrom itself. He was repeatedly reminded of his good fortune upon recuperation, by the hands of Esrah Alwattah’s devotees. Blessed with a second chance, Amahl took the devotees up on their offer - with clothes, a coinpurse and a full stomach, he set out on a Bahadyr to the nearest port. The Great Port of Hammaneh.

Little did Amahl know, that it was his glowing gaze amidst the swallowing Maelstrom that had alerted the devotees, that it was his maddening determination to survive where others would have succumbed that had earned the slit-eyed Songaskian his chance at breath despite the odds against him. In the end, all that mattered now to Amahl was starting his life anew, the spark to which Amahl would find in a travelling Ex-Ranger met at Hammaneh. An Isldar, having taken the name Yselle of Rivellia.

Alongside Yselle, Amahl’s departure through Hammaneh had become less of a task, and more of an adventure. Though the two had met on friendly grounds within a tavern, as Amahl strummed his lute for petty change - actually scanning the crowd for wealthy individuals to pickpocket. Amahl had become taken with the Isldar’s strange features, whereas Yselle quickly deduced Amahl’s identity as one of the enigmatic Silveirall - though she appreciated his musical talent as well.

It was Yselle that inducted Amahl into the life of adventure upon which he stands today, pushing Amahl to appreciate the beauty that the world offered. For the first time in many years, Amahl took in the world from her eyes - a beautiful shantytown lay before him, carved into the cliffs and floating atop the waves. Amahl would meet merchants and thieves alike in his time with Yselle, even forming an intimate bond with the Isldar. Upon her day of departure back to Riviellia, Amahl would follow her at the age of 20.

Adventure, Training & Beyond - Rivellian Rogues

Unlike Amkhar, Amahl found Rivellia to be a hub of international immigrants, some of which shared his Songaskian origin. Though Farah’deen had been suffocating, rigid and coarse, with the sun beating down any shred of hope and freedom, Rivellia’s cooler airs and Yselle’s guidance would mould Amahl into the bardish mercenary he would one day become. Finding comfort in the Qadir populated County of Avanca, Amahl was ostracized at first - his mention of the Esrah Alwattah’s devotees and their rescue of his life then silencing their efforts to remove him from their County.

During the coming years, Amahl would grow more familiar with the Qadir technology he at one time was tasked with seeking out and destroying, taking a fondness to such gadgets as smoke bombs and clockwork timepieces. Even grappling hooks caught the Songaskian’s eye, and Amahl made sure to practice with such devices, whilst Qadir engineers gladly encouraged his obsession - as long as coin and metal were present as payment, naturally.

It was also at this time that Yselle began to teach Amahl in the ways of the Arcol Bow. Whilst Yselle was a talented marksman, she was far from capable with anything more than a dagger. Naturally, Amahl’s entire military culture was deprived of projectiles, instead focused on physical combat. Amahl’s teaching and subsequent training from Yselle kept his skills sharp, though stagnant - he hadn’t any urgency to progress further, content with what he knew alongside his rising skill with the Arcol Bow. Whereas Amahl taught his partner the importance of quick close-combat tactics when faced with numerous opponents, Yselle enlightened Amahl to the tactical advantage a ranged weapon can provide - the speedy Arcol Bow especially.

Furthermore, Yselle regaled Amahl with tales of her homeland, as mysterious as it was - her once radiant white hair now greyed with the passage of time, her connection to the Frostweaver Dragon released. Yselle spoke to Amahl of strange scaled creatures that she once rode in her youth, striking down her foes with arrows from the height of the misty skies with deadly accuracy. With only her bows and arrows left as a reminder of such times, she was all too eager to pass knowledge of her craft onto Amahl. The Songaskian related all too well to her plight, her escape from the confines of an intrusive society. The two shared a mutual bond in their thirst for freedom and adventure, one which only blossomed over time.

The Fall From Greatness & Tragedy - Dynamic Duo No More

Upon reaching the age of 24, Amahl found himself comfortably proficient with his Arcol Bow, trained by Yselle to not only use these weapons, but craft them as well - as she had once been taught too, many moons prior. Moreover, Amahl had begun to sport her style, both in clothes and his very Elven looking adventurer’s tie-back haircut. Following their mutual satisfaction in both of their newfound skills, the duo would uproot and journey - with Yselle enlightening Amahl to the various lands that existed. Though she had initially planned on travelling directly to the Holy City of Regalia, the duo toured as a band of bounty hunters across the Daendroquian Continent first. Making a small name for themselves in Daenshore whilst enjoying the debauchery Hallonq had to offer, their travels took them to Ithania proper next. As Yselle shared Amahl’s cultural thirst, the two thrived amidst the colourful streets and fashionable fabrics.

Though the two shared numerous adventures over the next two years, Yselle met her end upon an expedition in the North alongside Amahl and a team accumulated over the years, by the blade of a revenge crazed Northerne Soldier no less. Having lost his comrades to the Isldar and their volleys of javelins, he spared no mercy upon Yselle. Though Amahl dealt the final blow from behind, there was simply no time to save his friend - whom had long since bled out to death. Left without any parting words or closure on his strongest relationship to date, Amahl set her body out to sea atop a burning raft, symbolic of the Tides she had come to worship - as homely a display as it was. Following a brief period of mourning and the team’s eventual separation to greener pastures, Amahl travelling to Regalia alone, intent on carrying on the adventure that the two delinquents had embarked upon together.

Sometime during this, not only would Amahl attain the level of Warrior as a Marksman, but the event would come to pass by the name of the Bone Horror Rising. Following this event, Amahl would face the removal of his Silvertism, leaving him as an average Songaskian. Despite this, he would reach Regalia at the age of 27, in hopes of continuing his work as a bounty hunter and Mercenary - viewing Regalia as little more than a more organised version of his own homeland. Hoping to find more answers to the creatures Yselle spoke of, alongside his own strange heritage, Amahl deemed the strange, Holy City the best place to begin his quest.

    Hello! Here's my review:
    • While I understand that you're trying to create a multifaceted character, I can't help but feel like it's too much. While real people may, in fact, be a "jack of all trades" sort of deal, it's different in roleplay. It's important to have a central archetype around your character of which allows you to learn/teach other characters new things, and eventually develop. Thus, while you could either focus on the gypsy/performer elements of the character, or lean towards his militaristic training, my reccomendation would be to focus on the military side of Amahl. Meaning, have 1 or 2 weapons that he specializes in, and lower the skill on his other, secondary weapons.
      • As a side note, I can't help but feel that your character draws a lot of similarities from past/current other characters. While I understand you play a certain type of character, I encourage you to broaden your character arcs, especially with the personality section. What could you add to make this character different from past characters? What could you do to make roleplaying with this character unique to any other roleplay you may provide? Changes made to the application:
    • More specific, in-RP achievable targets set.
    • Spear & Shield Fighting Style entirely removed from mention.
    • Age bumped from 26 to 27.
    • Ranger Training bumped up to Warrior level, accounting for the five additional years spent traveling as a Mercenary, moving from one job to the other constantly.
    • Known fighting styles lowered to two, that being the Turall Style, and Ranger Teachings of the Arcol Bow and Javelins - a third of the entire Ranger's School Teachings. Both are at Fighter Level.
    • Instruments lowered to two from four, with a preference for the Lute, despite the emotional connection to the Pan-Flute.
    • Life story summarized adequately.

Just for the sake of balance, I'd like you to rate Amahl's alchemy skill out of ten. Anything above 6/10 must be acquired from the School of Alchemy.

    Review-
    • If you intend on keeping your military abilities, get rid of your scholarly abilities. If you want to keep any semblance of Alchemy you would have to get rid of one of your warrior skills.
    • Get rid of Javelins, they don't teach that in ranger schools.
    • Tone down your ability in one of the schools that he learned, your character is only 29.
    • You can not be a silvert and have slitted pupils.
    • State where he was born.

    • I made mention of how Emil uses only certain animals and plants from Farah'deen for the certain function of poison-brewing, which is covered by the Ranger's teachings of Herbology and Zoology. The Ranger's School page didn't specify the proficiency of this teachings, so I marked Emil at an average 5/10 - as he can only make a certain kind of item and nothing else.
    • The Javelins, also specified, were Isldar Javelins, and Emil was taught his ranged combat by an experienced Isldar. Though it's not taught in the Ranger school, I felt it justified to keep this. Mainly because Ranger training for 9 years incorporates three styles of Ranger combat. Emil learnt only one in the same span of time, alongside using Isldar Javelins. That's why I justified it.
    • Realising that the character was a little underaged for his combat proficiency, I've raised the age to 35. This should cover the 9 years it takes the average Ranger to complete their training to Warrior Level, alongside the necessary 6 years it takes Turall Bladesmen to reach Warrior Level. As per the life story, Emil reached Fighter Level whilst still a Songaskian Soldier under a General's tutilage, and completed a further two years in Regalia under Duke Albaer Ravenstad's Honour Guard. His Ranger training was completed in between the two. Emil started training as a whole at the age of 15-16, so I presume this is fine.
    • I've alerted @MonMarty about this - the character won't be keeping his Silven status due to my decision of keeping the slitted eyes for the foreseeable future. The character was played as a Silvert, then an Ex-Silvert, and I won't be retconning any of his RPed history. Instead, I'll simply keep him mundane with Arken heritage.
    • The details of his birth, then movement following it, and finally where he was raised is covered in the extended life chronicles, but I've made note of where he was simply born in the summarised Life Story now as well.

    Alrighty so.

    • Regardless of age, warrior-warrior is too high of a skill when combined with all of his other strengths. We typically only allow fighter-fighter with dual combat schools, especially ones that don't compliment each other like turall and ranger. I will allow warrior-fighter if the other edits are completed.
    • Alchemy is not taught in the school of rangers, that is an advanced skill which requires separate tutlege. It's such high military and combat strengths, he cannot have scholarly strengths as well beyond the mundane knowledge given with the school of rangers.
    • It seems like the Isldar javelins are only tacked on at this point to give him another weapon. He already knows shortswords, maylars, and bows-- he does not need javelins. For balance, please remove them.
    • You cannot be a Silvert and have slitted eyes. If he was a Silvert in the past, then he wouldn't have slitted eyes. Remove it.

    - Removed all knowledge of Alchemy and instead replaced it with the knowledge of using equipment and poisons, with no knowledge of actually making anything.
    - Removed javelins for the sake of balance, since they're military hardware regardless and serve little purpose for Emil's interactions/showmanship IC.
    - Again, I'm not retconning the RP this character has had in the past because of recent clashing implementations that were only made public knowledge as of recent. I'll take it up with the Silven manager if need be. @MonMarty
    - I've complied with the other points regarding alchemy knowledge and javelin knowledge, and I don't think being able to shoot a bow and duel wield smaller, lighter weapons is conflicting. Both are suited to acrobatic, scouting characters. So I still don't see your point.

    • You cannot have slitted eyes and be a Silvert at any time. Remove them please. This has been discussed with Marty.
    • Nor can you be warrior-warrior in any two schools. Please amend this.
    • Additionally, the weakness you provide is not acceptable to allow you to have four strengths, please take a Talent away or add another weakness.

    • Following a lengthy discussion with Marty, for the sake of the character's prior encounters in Regalia during the time of the previous Silvert System, I've removed all mentions of the slitted eyes and formatted the character to that of an ex-Silven standard.
    • In regards to your persistence with lowering one school or the other, I still don't see any reason why. The Ranger School, with its subschools, allows an Arcol Bow user to be proficient with either a Longsword, or a Shortsword. As such, I see no reason why proficiency in a combat school using Shortswords and Arming-Swords whilst being equally proficient in one of the Ranger Subschools is still an issue. If the character has progressed ICly in one school under Noble House sponsorship, without history of abuse IC, it should be fine.

    @TheBioverse

The baseline rule for multiple combat schools is that you can only be Fighter level in both, due to the separate training and subsequent upkeep in the wildly different styles. In some cases, Fighter - Warrior is allowed, but only if the rest of the character is balanced and at an appropriate age to justify this.

The issue has been discussed in lore staff and to be a Warrior level in both Turall and Ranger school is too high of a skill margin. The styles of Turall and Ranger do not compliment each other well; these are very different schools with different criteria, rules and training.

Please complete the requested edits or we will have to reject this application. Drunkfailure is under close assurance by full lore staff members, and it is not appropriate to argue back to lore staff or aspirants on their verdict.

It was never my intention to argue - if it seemed as such, my apologies. I'm happy to comply with edits, if they're justified or aligned to some stated ruleset - I've not seen either, so I developed my character in a certain way through a few weeks of IC progression. Mainly through the entirety of the Songaskian War. This, to justify any progression at all.

Emil actually sat at a Warrior - Fighter mix to begin with, which prompted me to believe that he could progress with that; given the training was funded and that the War was near a close, or at an end altogether. Both schools required stamina, encouraged training of movement through climbing and hiking, and used one handed weaponry. Both schools are agility based.

So, just to clarify now, if I move Emil to what his previous combat ability sat at, that being a Warrior - Fighter mix, despite the similarities, I shouldn't consider any possible combat progression for Emil in the future?

    @TheBioverse

You may consider combat progression in the future if another one of his talents is adequately degraded, or another weakness is added to compensate for the upgrade in combat ability. At the moment it is okay for him to have knowledge of grappling hooks, lock-picking and arts (probably best suited to the skills section, as his talent at present tips the balance), but if he was upgraded to Warrior-Warrior, which is the absolute maximum he could ever become, these other skills would need to be completely removed to allow for it, making him a wholly combat character. Warrior-Warrior is very seldom allowed except in very dedicated characters, which doesn't seem to fit Amahl.

    - Added the weakness of having lost his left ear at the hands of the Undercrown and Virgil Buhr. Detailed on how this affects his day to day.

    - Lowered the skill in the Ranger School: Arcol Bow to Fighter level, keeping the Turall Swordsmanship at Warrior Level.

    - Made updates regarding the changes above in the summarized life story.

    - Lowered the age back down to 30.

Hope these changes are more compliant.
