From the earliest he could remember, he had two Isldar parents, ones he believed loved him very much, enough so to pay for him to train to be a knight. At age 7, like most children who are trained for knighthood, Alvaryn would become a Page to be part of the Great Oak Order. Even at a young age Alvaryn enjoyed going hunting with his mother, learning to shoot a bow and throw javelins, as well as go spearfishing on occasion with her. His father was a scholarly fellow so he mainly stayed home and read books or taught Alvaryn how to read and speak Sulvaley despite not many others in the city speaking it. However, Alvaryn doesn’t remember much of that life, the life before training to be a knight. While training as Page for the Great Oak Order, Alvaryn would further hone his skills, learning how to use a shield, along with the use of a spear, his preferred weapon. While training however, at age 10, his parents disappeared, believed to be dead, while he was still staying at the castle. He never saw his parents again after that, but was blessed by close friends of his parents willing to legally adopt him. From this he would take on the surname of Faeril, as those are who welcomed him to the family, and he’d wear that as his name with pride. Despite all that happening he still followed in the path of knights, gaining a mentor and eventually becoming a squire at 14. As a squire he’d complete his usual tasks, always making sure to do the best he could to help assist and protect his mentor. This is around the time when he’d get a spear of his own, and use when going on hunts with his mentor. During this time however he’d spend months away hunting epic beasts, straying further from any real interaction with his adoptive family. This would continue as is normal for a squire until he reached the age of 21, swearing his oath, and was fully knighted into the Great Oak Order. As a knight he’d serve his order with pure heart, always willing to hunt for the rewards of fame, fortune, and thrill. Through the next years as a knight, all the way up to the current day, Alvaryn would go on great hunts, and train for many years to get better. He learned sorcery of the Exist to supplement this, focusing on spells that could either help him hunt, stalk, and keep down beasts. Other than that he had great interest in spells that helped his allies, defending them from the large and great prey when they fought back, along with healing them when the legendary battles are over. He also learned how to summon a familiar of a scarab beetle, an animal he came to like out of all the creatures he’d find and hunt in his lifetime. Time never meant much to Alvaryn, his attitude aimed at goals for the future, but he always kept an almost childlike quality to his demeanor. His excitement and love for the hunt never faded, even after all these years, and he’ll be sure to shove (possibly exaggerated) stories down your throat all the while. In current years Alvaryn spends much of his free time, if you can even consider there to be much free time as a knight, connecting with the family he fell distant to. He sometimes misses his original parents, and these days he barely even sees his adoptive ones, but many of his siblings and cousins in the family are always around and there for him. Though he serves the Great Oak Order, and is forever loyal to it, he’s also loyal to his Isldar brethren. Even through hunts, quests, and endless tasks, Alvaryn made Regalia his home, and he hopes to help make his home a great one.
