However, I feel that one particular pet which is disallowed does have a place in the city. Slimes, namely the smallest variety, should be allowed for use in the water.
The Xalotl Maiar, being small, sluglike creatures, could easily be represented by slimes. Among Maiar and in coastal communities, it is feasible to keep these slimy animals as interesting pets. (I believe Cophen had such a companion)
Furthermore, small slimes are unobtrusive (smaller than chickens), minimizing disruptive impact on RP.
