    Special Traits/Spells/Mutations

    Infallible Navigator (Racial Passive)
    Nautilaan Ailor has a photographic memory for star maps and cartographic maps (and maps only), allowing them to recall their contents with perfect accuracy. Nautilaan can always tell what polar north is as long as they have a map with them, or can see the starry night sky. They are also immediately able to tell errors in maps.

    Iron Gut (Racial Passive)
    Nautilaan Ailor are exceptionally hardy, capable of surviving and functioning without food, drink, or sleep for up to a week. This makes them exceptionally suitable for dangerous coastal trips with few supplies, but also able to resist being starved out while imprisoned, or caught off guard while dozing off.

    Favored by the Sea (Racial Passive)

    Nautilaan Ailor gain a permanent +5 Maritime Knowledge, and the winds favor their ships on the sea, gaining them bonuses to rolls in the World System involving the movement of ships in both Battle and Non-Battle Progressions. Somehow, they always seem to get lucky with the direction of the wind striking them just right in the sails to give them an edge.
    Ritualist Meld (Ritualist Power - Touch)
    The Character can, with Direct Touch, infest another person by borrowing their body as a vessel. The target must be either fully restrained or willing. While inside that person, they can direct where the body moves to, but they cannot stop the body from speaking or moving its head, and neither the Character nor the target can utilize any Abilities. If involuntary, this fusion lasts for 15 minutes, if voluntary, it can last up to 1 hour, and the Character can choose to let the host walk freely and just use their body to hide in. Regardless of the duration, when the Ability ends, the Character is painlessly ejected and cannot use this Ability again for an hour.

    Ritualist Blessed Form (Ritualist Power - Touch)
    The Character can bless themselves or someone else with a halo behind their head, which causes their eyes to glow in the same color, their hair and clothes to become weightless and their body to lift 1 foot off the ground. This grants complete Rooting, Trapping and Snaring immunity, Ability based or Mundane, for up to 10 minutes. This Ability can only be used once per day.

    Ritualist Vocalism (Ritualist Power - Self)
    The Character can enhance their voice, making it sound as though multiple others are speaking in tandem with them. This does not increase their volume.

    Ritualist Beast-Speak (Ritualist Power - Emote Distance)
    The Character can, within Emote Distance, communicate with any Beast Shifted Character that is in their Beast Shift, through telepathy. They can speak to the Beast Shifted person, but the person cannot speak back.

    Vinteaar Elegance (Constant Passive - Self)
    Victims feel no pain while being fed on, and even become unaware that they are being fed on, forgetting that a moment ago the Vampire sank teeth into them. They will only become vaguely aware that some interaction happened between the Vampire and them, but are unable to remember precisely what.

    Vinteaar Lingua (Constant Passive - Self)
    A Vampire with this trait is able to understand any spoken non-Ancient and non-Forgotten language, and read any such language from written form, while understanding it in their native tongue. They can however not speak any of it back to the source.

    Vinteaar Thickening (Constant Passive - Self)
    The Vampire can add a few drops of their own blood to any drink, turning said drink addictive. The persons drinking the drink will be unaware why it is addictive, but feel an intense urge to drink more of it, and have withdrawal symptoms if they are denied any which can last up to three days, while feeling minor withdrawal when they haven't consumed any for some time. Any Ability that removes curses can remove this effect.

    Vinteaar Drawling (Vampire Spell - 5 Block Distance)
    The Vampire can hold up their hand to their face, and blow from the top of their hand in the direction of a person, producing a misting of wine in their direction. When hit, their target becomes incredibly drunk for several minutes. This effect cannot stack and wears off like normal drunken-ness. If anyone was mid-charge at the Vampire and this Spell was used, the charge is immediately stopped. Anyone who's breathing is filtered, stopped or protected, will not be affected.

    Immortal Aging (Constant Passive - Self)
    The Vampire does not age from the moment of infection. Their aging ceases visually, and they can sustain themselves beyond their natural undeath. This is not true undeath, but a state of suspended unlife. If a Vampire is cured when they have lived a number of years as a Vampire, they will proceed to age rapidly over a period of 2 weeks. Becoming re-infected during these two weeks will restore the Vampire back to the age they were when cured. If they cannot be re-infected before the end of the 2 week period, the aging is permanent, and re-infection causes the character to freeze at the new age. If a character has aged far beyond their natural lifespan, if they are not re-infected before the end of the 2 week period, they will die. (It is not allowed to perma-imprison a character to prevent infection to their death during these two weeks)

    Blood Collaring (Target Curse - Emote Distance)

    The Vampire can Target either a willing or restrained person to attach a Blood-Collar to their neck, colored in crimson blood yet solid and shaped like brambles with thorns. While the Vampire is in Emote Distance, any command issued must be followed, else the collar will dig its spikes into the neck and cause bleeding. While within range, any number of commands can be issued, but only the last command will remain active when leaving Emote Distance. Blood Collared individuals cannot be infected wiht Vampirism, and the Collar can only be removed by any type of Exorcism-Like Ability or abilities that remove Possessions. Any Vampire can only have one person Collared at any time.

    Shilôt Body (Constant Passive - Self)
    The Vampire's new Physical Stat Limit is 35, overriding any Racial Limit as long as it is above this number. If below, then the Racial limit applies.

    Shilôt Functioning (Constant Passive - Self)
    The Vampire is able to consume food and drinks like normal, and will pass these like normal. Shilôt Vampires are capable of producing both broods and normal children, allowing them a choice during mating. All of their children become either Vampire Broods or normal children.

    Shilôt Appearance (Constant Passive - Self)
    The Vampire's eyes turn Red only when they are actively feeding from a victim, and their teeth extend only shortly before feeding. Their skin lightens a bit, while their eye sockets are somewhat reddened. The Vampire Eyes (when visible) cannot be hidden or overwritten by Ritualism Mutations or any Aesthetic changes brought about by any Abilities, save for Abilities defined on this page, where applicable.

    Shilôt Empowerment (Constant Passive - Self)
    The Vampire, in a hosting or drink-serving RP scenario (e.g. tending an IC bar, offering drinks at an IC event) lose all of their Vampiric features and cannot be detected by any Detection Mechanisms. This cloaking lasts for 5 minutes following the end of the RP scenario, giving the Shilôt enough time to depart the scenario without arousing suspicion.

    Witching Brew (Vampire Spell - Emote Distance)
    While at least two Shilôt Vampires are present, they are able to use a cauldron to produce a wine-pleasure-bomb. They commence this process by brewing the wine in the cauldron, after which both make hand gestures over the pot. The pot's contents then rapidly steam out of the cauldron, producing a purple wine-mist that lasts for several seconds and fills an entire room or Event Venue or Emote Distance, causing anyone inside of it to feel euphoric and extremely satisfied, and liable to lapse in judgement. Anyone who's breathing is filtered, stopped or protected, will not be affected.

    Witching Vineyard (Vampire Spell - Self)
    While at least two Shilôt Vampires are present and lock hands together while spreading their arms, they will become hexed to appear like a grape-tree. Any additional Shilôt holding hands will also turn into a grape-tree illusion. This illusion is upheld as long as the Vampires do not move, and can be seen through by any Ability that grants Target Illusion immunity.

    Life Story

    Alessandro Sangiovese was born to Valentino Sangiovese and his first wife, Carolina. Growing up in a nobleman’s house afforded him a life of luxury early on, playing with his siblings while his father was away in the Empire’s capital. After a few years, though, his parents separated, leaving them to a smaller manor house out in the country for the latter portion of his childhood. The change in lifestyle always left him curious what else existed out in the world, cultivating a travel interest as he aged.

    Shortly after becoming a teenager, his luxury was upended; a failed plot by his politician father resulted in their expulsion from nobility. Riots broke out across the land, burning their family’s shipyards and surrounding the estate. While he and his mother ultimately survived the incident unscathed physically, it was deeply traumatizing for Ale, causing him to disassociate from his family name. When they arrived in the nearby city to rebuild some semblance of a life, the child in him led his feet out the door, running away.

    From there, he spent a few years sailing as a young lad on merchant vessels. He learned how to swear like a sailor, and spent much of the evenings learning instruments and gambling with the other crewmen. Finally able to see the world, he always kept an open eye for adventure along the way.

    Reaching adulthood, he started to prefer spending time around the fairer sex, rather than always on a full crew of men. He began to hang around cities more, falling in with gangs here and there. Eventually falling in love with a girl, he spent a few years having the time of his life floating along the Schön River and getting into trouble. Eventually she revealed that she was a Shilôt vampire, and he quickly accepted her invitation to join. Things gradually progressed to void worship outright - fortunately not the Kathar version. He lived out his Daen childhood fantasies, stealing or burgling as he pleased. Things got dicey eventually, and it soured the partnership, but the greed remained.

    He bounced around a few more ports of call, falling on harder times. Morals having declined during his later formative years, Ale thought he might return to Regalia, seeing what financial gain could be made of his last name. If that plan didn’t work, surely his charm could find someone else to provide for him, right? It was time to live a life of luxury.

    Alessandro has been drinking, gambling, and generally up to no good since his arrival. Thus far, he has avoided consequences, but not benefited much, either.

    @Azas Looking good, please elaborate further on how Alessandro became so devoted to the Cult of Evolution, as it's strange for a ritualist as devoted as he to have little interaction with it in his life.
