He gained his Monster and Void mutations during his adult years, from various members of the vampiric coven he used to be a member of. Pagan Jaw | Aku's tusks are engraved with ghostly markings, which give of faint wisps of light. Pagan Book | Aku's skin has vibrant tattoos, which depict those he has slain, and events in his life. Monster Feast | Aku has extra 'mouths', one on each hand's palm. Monster Patching | Sections of Aku's skin appear as though patched together, with crude stitches. Void Claws | Aku's nails have changed into blackened claws. Void Spikes | Aku has spikes growing down his spine. Void Rot | Aku's blood appears coagulated and disgusting, with a black sheen. Vampire Form | Spoiler: Vampire Form Aku grows in height by an entire foot, rising from 6'0" to an on-the-dot 7'0". The green of his skin is replaced with a dull, dark purple. During this transformation, his body-fat appears to be chubby and near obese- his muscular frame replaced with one of chub and fat as a reflection of his hunger and greed. This is a purely aesthetic change, and he does not actually gain weight. Additional body parts may sporadically erupt from his being in the form of long, spindly arms. These limbs stir pots, season food, and help prepare meals in his vicinity. They immediately snake back into his body if combat begins. A ghostly, floating chef's hat materialises above Aku when he transforms, sporting a minor aura of harmless, transparent magenta smoke. The hat drops down and rests on his head, though can sometimes float or bounce around him as he cooks. He can reach into the hat to retrieve cooking implements, but only if those implements are already being carried in his pockets; this is purely aesthetic, and flavourful emotes of pulling a salt-shaker out of his hat shall function no differently to him simply pulling one out of his pockets instead. He can not pull anything out of the hat during combat. ═════════════════════════════════════ Spoiler: Bust ═════════════════════════════════════ | Personality Information | Character Alignment | Chaotic Evil Without a doubt, Aku is nigh objectively evil. His mind has warped beyond repair, damaged by the void - by his vampiric disease. He views non-vampires as little more than future 'ingredients' for his dishes, or potential servants to help keep his kitchen running. Although he can blend in with them - although he can hide his vampiric nature and dwell among the surface - he prefers to instead bask in his 'gift' and play a more 'direct' game with his prey. Character Personality Type | Entrepreneur | ESTP-A Aku is bold, perceptive and direct- whilst also insensitive, impatient and defiant. He has the traits of an assertive Entrepreneur. He believes he makes mistakes less often than other people, he hardly cares if he says or does the 'wrong thing' in front of others, and he asserts that the more difficult a task, the more motivated he becomes to finish it. Religious Beliefs | Corrupted Yazgar | The Dark Ancients Abbagellon | The Weeping Beast | The Savage | Yazgar Aku, due to his vampiric infection, has come to believe that The Savage Abbagellon - a dark ancient of horrific design - is but a depiction of Yazgar, The Great Hunter. It is in their combined name that Aku "hunts the weak", aiming to cull the chaff, an action which shall surely bring him closer to a godly power. Woldemar | The Scarlet Scourge | Another of Aku's deluded, warped beliefs - he understands that sacrifices must be made in blood and body if Woldemar's gift is to keep him strong. However, Aku believes that such sacrifices should be prepared deliciously and extravagantly! No mere blood in a dirty bowl; only the finest dishes suffice for an offering to the gods themselves! ═════════════════════════════════════ ═════════════════════════════════════ | Life Story | Aku's life was not one of valour and extravagance. This sickened creature was born as naturally as any other- to a simple Eronidas couple among a savage Baros War-Camp. He grew up quickly as the camp travelled from place to place across Daendroc, though were others grew adapt with in the ways of war, Aku found himself disinterested at best. He was not as gifted as his peers in violence. Quietly, one could argue he perhaps even admired the Polon society, and as years went by he began to think more and more that he may be a better fit among them. For Aku, cooking was always a passion. His mother was a fantastic chef, and whenever possible he would experiment with flavours and ideas, helping lay out the feasts which would keep those within the tribe strong and prepared. Though a growing fact became obvious to the other Baros; Aku was undoubtedly a coward, at least in their opinion. On raids, the only 'weapon' he ever became half-way decent as using was a sling! And he'd sooner be found avoiding the frontlines to steal loot for himself whilst those around him were occupied. An eighteen year old Aku was brought forth: "Where does your loyalty stand?! To your people, or your belly?! Where does your integrity hide- You spout excuses instead of owning your actions! Where is your courage- your honour?!" Finally, there was irrefutable reason to punish him. Aku had committed Ra'ah; he was defeated in battle, which was unsurprising given his preference for lounging about instead of properly training. Aku did not refuse the fight for his honour, but - although he was strong - among the Baros he was of the weakest. Defeated, cast out, Aku entered a depression. Was he truly as weak as they claimed? He was used to living nomadically, but he had little wealth, and could not raid alone... But- There was an option. A skill he had cultivated all his life; He would cook. Aku strode into a trading town by the sea. Most refused to hire a 'savage', and his search began poorly. Though luck had finally returned to him - in a small bar, he met a traveller from The Crown Isle, a fantastic chef and - unbeknownst to Aku - a Milôt Vampire. They shared recipes and ideas- The Milôt taking a great liking to Aku for their shared passion. Before long, they would infect the Eronidas, and after a few short months Aku would adapt well to the affliction. Their coven slowly grew, as did Aku's influence. From a small market stall, to a full blown tavern. He wasn't the owner, but he was happy to work in such an environment. Years went by, they bounced from town to town and - ultimately - a great 'oopsie' was made. A fledgling caught the attention of some exceptionally skilled Vampire Hunters, who - using them as a lead - uncovered the entire coven. Aku would only barely escape being caught up in their mess, fleeing Daendroc on the first ship he could find passage on. In the present, Aku has settled quietly in the slums of The Crown Isle. So many cultures, so many different races and interesting people. Although his hunger grows, Aku is actually rather excited.
