Backstory
Aeliana Valeron, born Cillrie Tidrel, was once the cherished daughter of the Tidrel family, an influential household in the serene city of Lathan. Renowned for their poise, wisdom, and dedication to the ideals of the Lathan Essence, the Tidrel family played a crucial role in diplomatic efforts between noble houses, ensuring justice, peace, and harmony in the volatile world of Aloria. The Tidrels were revered as peacemakers, trusted to resolve disputes, and uphold the core values of compassion and fairness.

From a young age, Cillrie was immersed in this world of diplomacy and ethics. Her childhood was filled with lessons in leadership, cultural refinement, and the importance of the Starbirth ceremony. When Cillrie underwent her Starbirth, she was aligned with the Star of Peace, a prestigious and rare alignment among the Lanlath, marking her as someone destined to become a mediator of conflicts and a guardian of justice. Her life seemed predestined for greatness—a woman who would champion the cause of peace and fairness, just like her family.

However, beneath the polished surface of Lathan's aristocracy, tensions simmered. A growing faction, fueled by greed and jealousy, sought to overthrow the established houses and seize power for themselves. The Tidrel family, known for their unwavering adherence to justice, became a primary target of this faction's ambitions.

One fateful evening, during a grand gathering aimed at promoting unity among the houses, chaos descended. The faction launched a violent and calculated attack on the Tidrel estate. Flames engulfed the halls, and amidst the smoke and panic, Cillrie was separated from her family. She could only watch in horror as her world crumbled around her. The whispers of betrayal she had overheard in the weeks leading up to the event became a grim reality, and despite her family's efforts to maintain peace, their enemies struck without mercy.

As her home burned, Cillrie was trapped in the wreckage, suffering severe burns across the right side of her body, permanently blinding her in her right eye. She barely escaped with her life, but her family was not so fortunate. Both of her parents perished in the fire, their once-esteemed legacy reduced to ash. In the midst of her escape, Cillrie chose to "die" with her family, adopting a new identity—Aeliana Valeron—to hide from those who might seek to erase the Tidrel line entirely.

Aeliana was now alone in a world that had once revered her. Scarred both physically and emotionally, she fled Lathan and wandered into the depths of Regalia, where she began her new life, far removed from the privileges of her past life. Stripped of her status, she found herself navigating the world of commoners, a world she had once seen from a distance but never truly understood. The contrast between her upbringing and her new reality left her fragmented and confused.

In Regalia, Aeliana struggled to reconcile the values instilled in her—compassion, justice, and harmony—with the harsh and unyielding nature of the world she now inhabited. She was forced to take up odd jobs to survive, honing skills in stealth, agility, and pragmatism. Though her heart longed for the elegance and order of her past life, the brutality of her present circumstances demanded a more unorthodox approach to achieving justice.

Aeliana's new life was one of secrecy. Her disfiguring scars made her wary of others, both because of how people judged her appearance and the danger of revealing her true identity. Her natural empathy clashed with the distrust she now carried in her heart. She had seen the worst of people and was constantly reminded of the betrayal that had taken everything from her. As a result, she kept others at arm's length, never letting anyone get close enough to hurt her again.

Despite this, Aeliana could not completely turn her back on her core principles. Her time in Regalia revealed the injustices faced by the common people, those who suffered in silence or under the heavy hand of corrupt authorities. She became a silent advocate for the downtrodden, using her cunning and noble education to outwit those who abused their power. Her skills as a mediator and diplomat, once used to resolve disputes between noble houses, now served her in back alleys and crowded taverns as she fought for those who could not fight for themselves.

Yet, her dual nature—torn between the noble ideals of her past and the rogue pragmatism of her present—left her in a constant state of conflict. Aeliana often questioned whether she was still the woman she had been raised to be or if the scars had changed her too much. Her quest for justice was no longer clean or honorable; it was murky and dangerous, and she constantly walked the fine line between doing what was right and becoming the very thing she despised.

Aeliana often finds herself in positions where she must defend the vulnerable, but her scars—both physical and emotional—make it difficult for her to connect with those she helps. This leads to interactions where people question her motives. Is she truly there to protect them, or does she do so out of guilt and a desire to atone for her past failure? This internal conflict could create tension with those who seek to rely on her.
Aeliana's internal struggle between noble justice and rogue pragmatism could play out in roleplay, where she is forced to make difficult moral choices. People could challenge her values, asking whether her ideals still have a place in a world that often demands more ruthless methods. These interactions push her closer to either embracing her rogue identity fully or reclaiming her commitment to her family's values of peace and justice.

Aeliana's trust issues make it difficult for her to form lasting connections, but she might begin to encounter individuals who see past her scars and offer genuine friendship or alliances. Whether these alliances prove to be true or end in betrayal could create tension and emotional depth, as Aeliana must navigate who she can trust in a world that has already taken so much from her.
