Flyers are handed out and placed on noticeboards across the city of Regalia.
The headers and footers appear trimmed out from previous posts made by certain constables.

To the concerned Citizens of Regalia,

We refuse to let you be lied to further - you deserve to know of the corruption that lies within our city. A corruption listed time and time again - but squashed out and silenced by harbingers of falsely proclaimed truth.

We protect our own; that is all we have ever done. We have survived daily attacks made on us in our own homes without so much as lifting a finger to the city in return. Knights, Archon, and more have the privilege of living freely anywhere within the city, an option that we do not have, yet with all this freedom they decide to destroy the little sanctuary we have.

The actions they take are the very things they often hold against us, deeming us criminals while they play from a criminal's handbook. How long will attempted murder, kidnapping, and assault go on with no response from the Metropolitan? The same Metropolitan who let their mob of vigilantes run loose and drag us from our home to the confines of Greygate, all this while pinning warrants for laws we have never broken. Let us be clear in saying:

Leaving your own behind in a fight is not the same as us kidnapping them.

The Metropolitan enables the bloodthirsty, turns a blind eye to corruption, and twists the application of laws for their own benefit while the Archon and Knights do their dirty work. We have done nothing but hold up arms to defend ourselves in the process. We have not raged violence in the city as they have in the sewers multiple times.

It is not the monsters under your streets that you should fear. It is the ones that walk upon them.

How long until they get bored of harming us that they turn on all of you?
How long until the corruption settles deeper and you end up dead or in a cell?

We ask more than ever now that the Sewers and Crookback stand against such corruption.

A small note is attached to one of the flyers, left by a Shepherd's grizzled claws:

So quick to forget how the Grey Coalition stood.
So quick to forget how it ended.

The Lord Commissioner looks over the notice with a glance, once, then twice, to make sure he had read it correctly, before pinning his own response.

"It seems that I must clarify once more to the denizens of the city's underground, misconceptions allowed to run rampant.

You wish for safety? You wish not to be brought to Greygate by Knights, or Archon, or any concerned citizen? Leave the sewers, and return to crookback.

The misconception you seem to have is that the sewers are not part of the city, that you should have the same rights and allowances you have within the borought, and thus, should not be charged for crimes that occur down below.

This is not, nor has it ever been the case, the sewers are scarcely manned, and are filled with many that the city would do well without. Being allowed to roam somewhat freely down there is not the same as legal immunity, there is no protection to stop you all, nor anyone from being charged with crimes, there is no legal prevention to Vampires, or Cahal being taken to the surface and cured, as within the city their very presence is illegal.

You are not the victims you claim to be, many people enter and never return from those depths. The state has given you a sanctuary, where your actions do not follow you into the city, yet you complain when you leave it and are hunted? You are choosing this by leaving Crookback for a place you would like to consider lawless.

Being dragged to Greygate due to your crimes is only a crime if they steal you from Crookback, the sewers have not, nor will ever be your haven."

Saleera walked the Ordial Temple grounds, her hummed melodies filling the hall. Before her floated a piece of parchment containing the Lord Commissioner's reply. The hums stopped. The halls went silent.

"And so it is written. Our crime is sitting in a sewer bar."

A stamped sheet of parchment is pinned beneath the original notice. Its seal represents the Lothar Order, specifically those currently in Regalia.

Today, you may consider yourselves united with your supposed "common enemy".
Yet...
Tomorrow, you will be fighting over waste-territory ownership, or molding breads, or gambles lost and won.

We will await the first fractures in your foundation and it will be our hammers that weaken it further. We will wade through the rubble and find you, rats, scurrying. To deny this inevitability is the act of a delusionist.

Pray.

The only corruption that lies within this city is the death worshipping, Void inviting and Exist obsessed filth that hides beneath our feet. Each of you deserves to be eradicated without bias or discrimination, so that corruption can truly be removed from this city.

Your snarky comments and cyclical arguments will not change the reality of this world. As much as you may hate me or those who have given me a chance to live, it does not excuse the fact that you host monsters in your mutated bodies and relish in the thought of murder and death. Comparing your atrocities to others as a way to cope with your hijacked minds is pathetic.

Your words will reach none of us. We will continue to crush you, one by one. I will see to it personally.

Leila read over the letter turning to what the Lord Commissioner then wrote underneath it smirking to her herself. Looking towards her sister to tell her to read it over.

"Hey Vi. Look at how they all responded. Looks like the war has just begun, best be ready to fight for our home."

Viola took it upon herself to thoroughly read what was written. It took a needlessly long amount of time for her to read it all with squinted eyes, before she raised a brow.

"I see lots'a shitty excuses. -Oh, witless insults too. The people see this, right? They're callin' us murderous while stickin' death threats in the same notice."

The brood let out a soft sigh, lightly shaking her head. She pulled out a pen, going to scribble onto the corner of one of the notices with clumsy handwriting:

SAVE SOME INK. YOU'RE PROVING US RIGHT.

Listened silently to the other responses before she commented, the silven could not read but responded from what she heard.
"This city only cares about those above as if our lives are nothing. Are our lives that insignificant to them? Do lives mean nothing? Who cares if we are criminals and or afflicted we are people." The silven was upset and frustrated from what she was hearing. "You might judge us for our way of living and affliction but one day you will walk in our shoes if it has to be through the dirty sewage water, and no one's going to be there to help you go across, choose your words carefully,"

~local Silven Llorris

"Haqet is a hypocrite, they're acting like they didn't use to be a vampire themselves who had killed thousands. The only thing about them that's changed is their alignment. And the Lord Commander is completely ignoring the fact that what the Knights are doing is illegal... Vigilantism is vigilantism.."

A certain archon by the name of Baron Lomstedt stepped up to the notice, giving his own words about it.

"It seems there is a fundamental misunderstanding of vigilantism, Knights and Archons. Not that I'm surprised, considering the misbegotten people of the sewers and Crookback try to use the word corruption in the same sentence. The hypocrisy is truly baffling. Nonetheless, Knights and Archons, like all of us, are beholden to the law, a fact easily forgotten by the residents of the aforementioned districts, for Knights are demonstrably the most loyal citizens of the Empire. By both their unending obedience to the crown, the code of honor, and all that this entails.

Anyone who has ever held a book of law in their hands knows that every order of knights is required to support the state of Metropolitan and arrest people with them. So it should surprise no one that they do just that, rooting out corruption and infection as the laws require. Archons, on the other hand, are like labeling any member of a particular faith or cultural heritage as inherently bad. Even if we agree on the issue of infection in this city. However, if the archon in question is not a knight, does not belong to the State of Metropolitan, or has special authorization to serve the State, then they are acting as a private individual who can be punished at will by law enforcement and the judiciary. The emphasis here is on "can" as it is their right to bring in private individuals to assist in the performance of their duties as long as there is some oversight. Moreover, there is the moral question of whether to punish private individuals who, at times attacked by infection from the beginning, bring known state criminals to Greygate for further detention and punishment."

This response, stapled among the many other with the controversial decree, is perhaps drowned out. It was short, only a few words, and incredibly sloppily written. It's done in red paint in a very clear attempt to make the text appear like dried or drying blood, but the attempted illusion was not a terribly convincing one. Even then, it was clear the writer intended the message to be an ominous, even threatening, one.

Nickolas reads over it all from his comfy home with the occasional roll of the eyes. He then speaks to himself, thinking out loud. "This bit is well written out and cordial. It offers some good insights though then…" he looked then to the next message.

"Then the Caius Archon say this and put the whole lot to shame and ridicule. I do not understand how the Constabulary and Government do not see this sect of the Dragon Cult as criminal in their actions."
