So, I know lore ideas aren't looked upon kindly, but I would just like to create a brief thread to look at some old vampire bloodlines, no suggestions, "bold ideas," or any sort of passive-aggressive hopes for a new regalia or more work for the staff members or anything of the such, just looking at old bloodlines
So, I got all of these from the wayback machine, and I will add links as necessary
So, here is the current vampirism page. I like it, it's easier to maintain, being that it's all processed as one bloodline, and can have different forms. It flows nicely into the proficiency system
https://wiki.massivecraft.com/Vampirism
Though, since the recent vampire update, heck, since the sewers got removed, I haven't seen a singe vampire. I spend about half of my roleplay time in the slums. This is just my perspective, though. I've heard /about/ vampires, and I've seen battalion upon battalion of guards looking for vampires and "hunting" them down. And, when I do hear of vampires in an area, my main (a maiar) just chuckles because he can't be infected, and it doesn't matter much to him.
I have no idea why vampires or crime roleplay in of itself isn't as common anymore, but it's not my place to call for change or whatever.
Old Vampire Page

So, it's pretty good as well, being that its from a different time period on massive.
It wouldn't be very viable today because there isn't enough manpower to keep up that many bloodlines or whatnot. But, there's also some interesting lore buried in there that might mix up the dynamic of roleplay.
To me, this page looks a bit more user-frienldy, being that you aren't getting stared down by mountains of paragraphs, but this isn't a big deal, it's just me being a bit exaggerate. I'm not well versed with proficiency so the chart looks a bit threatening.
Some cool bloodlines
https://web.archive.org/web/20150407120622/http://wiki.massivecraft.com:80/Maleir_Bloodline
Qadir things-pretty freaky, would totally get freaked out if I saw one, like not just IC but OOC
https://web.archive.org/web/20150407120703/http://wiki.massivecraft.com:80/Irontooth_Bloodline
Dwarven vampires- Pretty cool, makes you think of like a troll thing that can't stop eating, probably wouldn't integrate into modern rp very well, the eating of gold is pretty interesting
https://web.archive.org/web/20150407120719/http://wiki.massivecraft.com:80/Mekephit_Bloodline
Mekket vampires- these were from a very different time from the mekket, very long ago. But, these things are pretty freaky, would probably drop all my spaghetti if I saw one. It's interesting that they are held in such a position within mekket society. They also have insane potential for creating interesting characters, being that they have conflicting motives and are given psychotic changes during transition, might make some interesting roleplay.

Maiar vampires- these things, while less horrifying, are intriguing, the idea of a hive-mind character would really start to grow vampire covens, being that they are mainly severe in groups. I personally would love to see covens of vampire fish, but that's just me. They might not have as much difficulty integrating to regalian culture because they aren't as outlandishly appearing than others, and are pretty much like regular fish, minus the brain. I imagine piranhas with these guys, which would be pretty cool.

Allar vampires- Not entirely different from a regular allar, and wouldn't be difficult to implement. They aren't freaky, probably would drop too much spaghetti if I saw one, but, being that allar are pretty popular, they would add a bit more threat to vampire bloodlines and effect more of the roleplay community... Idk
Those were the most intriguing ones I could manage, but I feel like the threat of vampires just isn't great. I feel like most of regalia has just migrated to the top of their castles, and with all this commotion over vampires or whatever and all this hysteria, maybe give people something to be afraid of... idk
