The men of the Synod were gathered together in the halls of the great Cathedral of Our Spirit in the center of the Regalian Capital and Holy City. It was a day of the usual masquerade of factionalised faces hiding in plain side as the holiest men of the Empire and Faith of Unionism and the Church of Sancella

The reason for their gathering was to elect a new High Reverend, a position which was after the last half a year been held by four people, four people who had been a stain upon the Synod's jobs and titles, and sometimes even church and the faith: Reginald du Pont the Unready, Leufroy "Volckmar III" d'Goss the Reactionary, Stéphan von Brühl III the Inactive and Rodrigo "Godeffroy IV" Peirgarten the Divider.

In these Holy Halls of the Synod they are now pressured by various Holy Knights and Congregational Councils, not to mention the people and nobility to appoint a High Reverend who is loved, pious, uniting and a true child of the Spirit and Faith. It is in these halls the past stains of the Sancella Church's top may be cleaned for the first time in half a year.

The Elder ofthe Hall raised himself from his chair before uttering into the halls.
"The next Conclave of the Synod has been set in motion and I would like all of the Reverends of the Synod to vote and the Curates to weigh in their thoughts"
He sat down again.

"As we meet once more in these hallowed halls to elect a new High Reverend I wish to do something which I have never done before. I wish to express that I shall be officially running in this election. With these past High Reverends I find myself compelled to run for the seat. I feel with I on the seat we can improve and unify the Synod once more and return it to the proud, powerful, and most of all pious place it once was in. However, while I officially run, my vote does not go towards myself. If you all find myself fit to be in the high office I shall allow you all to decide. Not to push it with my own vote. With that, I shall sit myself down and allow the voting to commence."

Rose once the Reverend Harhold was finished speaking. A sudden smile appeared and Jakob Ludevar began to speak

"It's about time one of our oldest and wisest brothers, rose to the occasion. I've never wanted to urge our brother to run for the Holy Office, but seeing him at last run makes me glad. He is wise, charitable and pious, the perfect fit. That is why I shall be casting my vote with dear Brother Harhold."

Satisfied he sat down again and allowed the other Reverends to speak.

Rose once again from his seat, slowly as always, the Elder of the Hall spoke ot the conclave.
"I do believe after two voices it is adequate for me to weigh in my vote without sounding desperate to use my voice again already"
He chuckled lightly at his own little auto-reprimand.
"I too am glad to see Brother Harhold finally run for his own seating of the Holiest See in the Synod. I awaited it during the last election but unfortunately it didn't happen. But I embrace the idea and lay my vote in with Brother Harhold as well."
The old man sat down in his chair again, as slowly as he raised himself up.

In a corner of the Conclave was the seated Rodrigo Peirgarten, his somber and cold complexion almost entirely buried underneath the long, wild locks of his brunette curls. The man raised his hand out and spoke with a rasp, grumpy voice.

"I place my support in Brother Harhold."

The elder nodded towards the men who have voted. A light smile grew upon the old man's face at the touching support of his Brothers.

The Reverend of Montania rose from his seat, eyeing over his notes with mild interest before his gaze fell upon the council of clergymen. His gaze did not falter the slightest when he began to speak with a pensive, sincere tone that matched his honest expression. Speaking out thus:

"We gather here tonight to dismiss and let the title of High Reverend fall on someone within these halls. I seek someone with ambition and someone who is not afraid to make holy choices in the face of unbearable obstacles. Someone that doesn't portray themselves like a partisan leader and favor the peerage and power over Unionistic rule. This man I am speaking of, he has sat within this council for long and has been noted for his compassion for faith. My vote will go to Brother Aelfric Harhold in hopes he will prove himself to not only faith but the people of this holy city.

With a slight nod, the Reverend sat himself down and began writing once more.

The newly elevated Reverend Auerswald stood and motioned at the table, then gesturing a symbol of his faith onto his forehead, just before speaking in oratory custom.
"In this time of despair within our most holy organisation, many must believe we have lost our way in our role; we must guide the people's faith, not direct it. It is my utmost desire to witness a turn in our mentality, and a much-needed reform in our perspective towards not only the people, but inner conclave policy. Thereby I am compelled to select Brother Harhold as my nomination, the one with enough experience to not mistake the same actions of the past for change."

"And it seems quorum is reached. I thank you for your support, Brothers. I shall not fail you, nor the people. I promise a bettered Synod through my tenure and I shall work tirelessly to do so."
