The Children's Adventure, A Fantasy Story By Alarin Relio
AN (Probably the only one unless updates happen O.o): (This'll be my first attempt at doing something like this on Massive and I'm very excited for this project! A part of this will be my own thoughts and ideas with settings and what not, but I also love the settings in Aloria and highlighting some of them here sounds nifty! (At least, I think so ;-;)
The way TCA will work; every chapter = new forum post (weekly - 2 weeks hopefully!)
After TCA is complete, I'll make a final post with all the chapter links, kinda like a binge session!!
I'll do my best to make sure I won't drop this half way through (nasty habit of mine >.>) and provide chapters forum browsers will enjoy! Now that the intro. stuff's out of the way, let's begin TCA!)

✿Chapter One - A Magical Visit✿
Alia bolted upright in her bed, dawn just breaking through the iron grate of her window and filling a part of her room with small squares of light. She took several deep breathes before sighing to herself, wiping collected sweat from her brow. It was the third time this week she had dreams of her falling through darkness. It must be a sign by now of something terrible happening soon, but she would sound hysterical if she told her family about these visions. They would think nothing of it, or at most an excuse to stay home today, earning Alia another sorrowful sigh as the thought grew more concrete in her head.

Glancing at the iron grate, Alia rose from her bed and moved to stand behind it, looking down at the buildings that lined the streets of Regalia. A soft breeze greeted her face and Alia smiled to herself as the sun highlighted the wood and brick of the stores and cottages, giving them an almost golden tint to their color. Spring was her favorite season and rightfully so with all the pretty flowers and brilliantly green leaves that were in Regalia Park. If she squinted hard enough, Alia could just make it out from where she stood, thankfully it wasn't a rainy or foggy day for her.

Alia shook her twelve year old head, the light brown curls that hung beside her face bouncing as she moved. Today wasn't for daydreaming! She had important matters to attend to, such as deciding which gown to wear and what accessories to match it with. As Alia turned away from the grate and opened the door to her small wardrobe, a light blue butterfly managed to slip through the gaps of the iron grate and landed on Alia's dark oak bed frame. It simply walked up and down, making a soft clicking noise as its feet tapped merrily. Hearing the soft taps, Alia turned around as she finished putting on a dark green and gold gown and gasped as the butterfly continued its simple path. She quickly fastened her mother's sapphire necklace around her neck and approached the beautiful creature, her light brown eyes widening at how gentle it looked to her.

With a quivering hand, Alia reached a finger out to it when all of a sudden, the butterfly slowly flapped its wings and flew over her head, now resting on top of her wardrobe. She gave a confused expression and slowly walked over to it, triggering the butterfly's movement to now fly over to her small desk that sat several feet away from her bed. Alia hadn't realized it at first, but her footsteps turned from a simple walk to a dash and below her, Alia's father gave an angry look to his wife and decided that he needed to see what kind of commotion their daughter was doing. As he ascended the stairwell, Alia joyfully laughed as she chased after the butterfly, its wings slow moving yet making the butterfly look as if it were gliding in the air.

As Alia panted from running around her room, the butterfly flew down to her and hovered just in front of her face. She cupped her hands and the butterfly nuzzled itself into the opening, earning a small giggle from Alia as she felt the wings tickle her. Her weight seemed to have disappeared completely as Alia held her new friend, thinking that maybe if she tried, she could fly around her room too! However, the butterfly suddenly flashed a teal light and an elaborate sigil began to form on Alia's hand. While Alia was fascinated at how marvelous the lines curved into a reality across her fingers, a portal the same color as the transformed butterfly's wings began to materialize underneath her.

The sound of her doorknob being jostled started Alia and as she was about to call out that she was almost ready, the portal completely formed underneath her. The butterfly left Alia's hands and they both fell through, Alia giving a sharp shriek as vision went from her room to being filled with darkness. Alia's door never fully opened. Back in her room, her father was in the process of opening her door, but looked like he stopped half way through. It was almost as if time stopped in Alia's home. How odd. Perhaps something like this was taking place elsewhere as well?
