A Letter of Pride Lost.
I write this open letter in response to an event I saw take place (and interjected) that shocked me beyond my years. A man claiming to be a representative of House Winslough, who I have since learned is named "Peter Winslough" watched and took part in the beating of a young man for no other than a claimed berated comment--which to my knowledge is entirely untrue. He did so in a back alley, with the company of up to at least seven other men, one of which being a particularly large Orc. It should also be noted that the men were spineless enough to not give me their names, fearing of the repercussions I would imagine.
I have travelled this world, far and wide. Spreading the word of Unionism peacefully, and of the news of our great Holy City that I have always been so proud of. I have also taken part in our Holy Spirit's wars. On the front lines, and providing our troops with much needed clerical support in their times of need— and to hear this beating justified by the fact that the man claims to have a Reverend for an Uncle downright appals me. I must admit, that I am ashamed to have invited so many people to our home, this city and to have witnessed this in my own metaphorical backyard, so to speak.
I am proud of our gracious and Holy City, but not of what I fear it might become if we allow thugs and miscreants dictate our daily lives in the streets that we once deemed safe.
Signed humbly and sorrowfully,
Curate Remko Holm.
