  • Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

FROM THE OFFICE OF THE GRAND JUSTICAR
RODDERICK AETHELWULF HOWLESTER
TWENTY THIRD OF THE FIFTH MONTH OF YEAR THREE HUNDRED AND EIGHT

IN THE MATTER OF TREASON ON PARTIES HENGEST HARHOLD AND OTHERS

Jurisprudence of our Empire shows us that charges of Treason can often be levied to and fro by various Civil Government leaders, often justly and sometimes with ulterior intent. For this reason, the charge has stigma and is surrounded in questions of legitimacy, proportionality of the offence and the justification of death in any particular instance. In order to cease the public debate on the legitimacy of the charges and accusations against the Count Harhold and accomplices, the Judiciary, in reviewing evidence and case reports forthcoming thusly, makes the following Orders.

1. Count Hengest Harhold of Vlissinghelm will be released from incarceration immediately pending trial for treason against the Civil Government this coming Wednesday. He will be assigned twenty four hour guard by members of the Arcanum Order and forbidden from leaving the capital lest an immediate verdict of guilty be passed against his person in absentia. He shall be allowed to walk the city proper and attend any such venue as he is lawfully permitted to by virtue of his noble status.

2. The seriousness of the offences additionally warrants immediate injunction of the punishment of execution. All those arrested under the warrant of the twenty second of the fifth month of year three hundred and eight issued by Lord Chancellor Prince Louis Delmotte will hereby be under the protection of the Regalian Judiciary (against Execution and further torture only) until Count Hengest Harhold's innocence is proven. They, like him, will be released immediately and placed under twenty four hour guard at the Mercenary Keep in Regalia by the Old Guard, Arcanum and Iron Watch charters until such a time that the Judiciary releases them from this obligation. Any individual who is charged with treason and escapes custody before a verdict is levied will be rendered guilty in absentia and given the strictest punishment in accordance with law.

3. The Judiciary recognises the legality of the warrant issued by the Lord Chancellor and will take this opportunity to remind the general public of the absolute legal authority of the position. Warrants, actions and decisions of the Lord Chancellor are answerable only to the Regalian Noble Assembly and the Emperor. Thus, the warrant for the arrest, torture and incarceration of all accused have been recognised as valid.

4. The Judiciary will like to remind the general public that the onus of proof does indeed rest with the accused as we are a system of guilty until proven innocent. However, City Guard charters are given quasi-judicial privilege in the exercise of their function to sentence to punishment any criminal who they, on the evidence presented, believe to be guilty of their crime. The Judiciary exists in that aspect to rectify any unjust punishment by the City Law enforcement. As such, the Judiciary further emphasises the legality of the actions of the Regalian Guard insofar as they have not breached their civil duty or prescribed charter rights.

5. Should Count Hengest Harhold be rendered a Guilty verdict, I in my authority as Grand Justicar permit such verdict to be used as prima facie evidence of a plot by the other accused of treason against the civil government. However, their guilt, if the punishment intended is to be execution, MUST be proven in Court.

The above will be carried into effect immediately by Judicial Order.

Signed and sealed,
Rodderick Aethelwulf Howlester
Grand Justicar of the Regalian Judiciary
Sovereign Prince of Gallovia
