[!] Invitations got stapled to every single noticeboard in the Crown City by the hands of several nimble messengers, flitting from one spot in the city to the other as merry cries, tinged with an Ithanian accent, hoped to draw the attention from loitering bystanders.The nobility were the recipients of something far more sophisticated than the cries of an Ithanian servant, as personal invites were diligently delivered at each doorstep instead.

House Cadieux du Lierre cordially invites Regalia’s Knights and its entire citizenry to attend a Harmony of Lances, an occasion hosted to commemorate the first Ithanian holiday of the year. The family encourages all sworn knights to participate in a Jousting Tournament, a rip-roaring clash of lances where the most valorous and poetically eloquent will end up being triumphant.

We celebrate the principle of knighthood on January 6th with the birth of Viridian Knight Jeanne d’Arcoulais, a revered folk hero among the Ithanians for making the Viridian Order admit women into their ranks through her admirable perseverance and steadfast resolve. To immortalize her legacy for years to come, we remember her name through displays of knightly combat and expressive poetry recitals on the day she was born.

And thus, we promote knightly values and goodness through the age-old martial game of jousting. Knights are encouraged to not only display a show of strength, but one of expressive wit as well. Participants are asked to endeavour a piece of poetry to regale the audience, as their performance will also play part in the tournament’s final ranking.

A Harmony of Lances will take place on the 6th of January.

- Joust Information -
This joust is not only a battle of strength, but also wit! Knights are encouraged to prepare a piece of poetry, whether it’s to boast about their chivalry, proclaim their love for someone in the audience, or simply to just diss their opponents. The best poems will eventually play part in the final ranking of the tournament.

We heavily encourage Knights to find sponsors for the joust! Contact your local smithy for a new set of armour, maybe ask a Noble House if they could supply you with the necessary tools for the joust, etc. etc. Noble Houses can participate too by flaunting the best of their court and submit a champion of their choosing.
Sponsors who’s knight ends up in the top three of the tournament will be the recipient of a personalised reward!
