FROM THE DESKS OF THE MASTER AND MISTRESS OF THE HALLS
HIS GRACE, FABIEN DU PONCAIRE, DUKE OF MARAIS
HER LADYSHIP, ROWENA BANCROFT, COUNTESS OF KAARTE
We firmly denounce House Vuhnreniirn for trying to incongruously upstage the Crown, while also criticising and stressing the Marquis-Elector's poor conduct by shamelessly rivaling an invite so graciously extended by the Imperial Court. To decline an invitation warrants no point of concern, however to host a competing gala that would purposely conflict with an Imperial event should be regarded as a universal insult not only to its hosts, but concurrently to His Imperial Holiness, the esteemed College of Princes and the entirety of the Imperial family.
For little over a month, my darling reader, us both have diligently ensured that we performed well to the Emperor's expectations. We have been given the hospitality to open the Imperial Palace by the divine grace of His Imperial Holiness, a space with great halls of light that will follow the sunrise and shine out to all corners of Aloria, so they might all see the glory of our Empire. A space that is open to the entirety of the peerage, however with the necessary precautions set to protect the Emperor and the Imperial Court from the forces of the Occult. The Marquis-Elector, like the rest of the peerage, should comprehend the need for the Palace's aberrant detection gates, and should most certainly understand the necessity of Occult registration within the Imperial Court. If not, we would most certainly find fault in the Marquis' propriety even further.
However neither of us have received word or notice from the Marquis-Elector regarding the registration of his Lordship's Silvenism and affiliation to the Occult. It baffles us beyond compare how the Marquis-Elector would purposely ignore the several meeting points we have opened to conduct interviews, including the one organised moments prior to the start of the gala, only to use it as a feeble excuse to arrange an impromptu party of his own. It makes us question the Marquis' intentions, whether this was just a desperate call for entertainment and company in his lonely estate, or a malicious stratagem of vindictive vitriol to undermine our success.
It is our sovereign duty to His Imperial Holiness as the Master and Mistress of the Halls to enforce proper behaviour within the peerage, and criticise faults in propriety whenever it does concur. We are of the opinion that the Marquis-Elector's actions of yestereve were tasteless, insulting and impudent in all regards. We sincerely hope the Marquis will find reason in this public denunciation, and that he will take the right accountability for his wrongs towards the Imperial Crown.
