    Personality
    Option One: The Question List
    • How would your character express Happiness and Contentedness?
      • Ozzulon is a particularly emotional individual, and he tends to invoke the more extreme sides of the Allar emotional spectrum. Particularly when he is feeling happy, he makes the deep subsonic rumble of a contented Cro, deep enough to make water ripple nearby, while slowly writhing his back.
    • How would your character respond to experiencing Fear?
      • Ozzulon tends to turn to his time amongst the Maiar if he's confronted with something that terrifies him. Quick darting attacks mixed with outright savage blows are the usual fare, although if he is overwhelmed repeatedly, he will eventually submit. Given more time however, his Cro nobility side takes over, and he will stand tall and try to overwhelm his opposition in turn.
    • How would your character respond to experiencing Stress?
      • Ozzulon tends to stand up tall, making use of his tremendous height in an attempt to intimidate whatever obstacle lies before him. His scales bristle, and he lets out a low growl. He isn't afraid to use whatever tools he has at his disposal in order to attempt to express his displeasure.
    • How does your character view Law and Authorities?
      • Ozzulon is steadily on the side of the law and the authorities. While it is a bit more of his brother's domain, he is still a Cro at heart, which means a healthy respect for the rigid caste structures of the Allar people. In Regalia, this attitude is identical, just with the Regalian government as a stand-in for the usual structures.
    • How does your character feel about Races other than their own?
      • Ozzulon believes that anyone of race who is willing to get over their egos and understand that there are important goals to pursue, is worthy of respect in their own right. He has a particular respect for the Regalian Empire however, after the events of the Chrysant War.
    • How does your character feel about Religion for themselves, and other faiths?
      • Ozzulon has some measure of faith in the Dragons, particularly the Blue Crown Dragon and the Yellow Dancing Dragon. However, it is also rather complicated, and intermixed with his fascination with the Deep Sea Serpents that comes from his time with the Maiar, which also is rather complex, in that he also feels some measure of distaste for the Deep Sea Serpents as they aided the Slizzar in the Chrysant War. He pictures the Yellow Dragons and the Deep Sea Serpents to be two sides of the same coin. One brings fish, plenty, and calm seas. The other is the fury of the ocean embodied. 7/10 Dragon Faith, 3/10 Faith in Deep Sea Serpents.
    • How does your character feel about the Arcane and Magical in the world?
      • He treats it with a sort of wariness. Most of all, he doesn't like the idea that Magic can make a relatively unassuming person become a genuine threat, not to mention its innate connection with dimensions full to the bursting of things filled with hate and pain. He doesn't trust magic users one bit.
    • How does your character feel towards their family?
      • He loves them all dearly, but has a particular fondness for his younger brother, his Digmaan, Cro-Zzhao. They have both gotten eachother out of innumerable scrapes and close calls, and he has a deep bond with him that goes beyond just being brothers.
    • What is your character the most proud of about themselves?
      • Ozzulon thinks of himself as a very open person. He tries to understand the world from a wide variety of different perspectives, and he thinks that makes him a bit of a wiser person. Who knows? Perhaps he's right.
    • What motivates your character to move forward and better their life?
      • Ozzulon wants to make his younger brother proud. He wants to pay him back for the favor that his brother gave him all those years ago during the defense of Rosh-Akkhar, and he cannot stand idly by without helping him achieve his goals. He knows he plays second fiddle on occasion, but if Zzhao benefits, all Allar do.
    • What is your character's biggest insecurity?
      • Ozzulon is still wracked with guilt over deserting the defense of Rosh-Akkhar. It'll weigh on him until the end of his days, because not only did he betray his family and his city, he betrayed his place in his race.
    • What is your character's biggest fear?
      • Ozzulon is afraid that the Maiar will never regain their sentience, and they'll be trapped in a bestial state forever. A large part of the culture of the world will just.. slide away, forgotten in the annals of history. This is something that terrifies him, on a primal level, because it reminds him of the fragility of everything that his race has built.

    Life Story
Ozzulon was born in the Allar city of Rosh-Akkhar in a particularly small clutch of eggs on a picturesque summer day. Sadly, the vast majority of his clutchmates did not hatch, and Ozzulon was quickly separated from his birth family and sent to live amongst the Cro, bearing only his name and hazy memories as reminders of his home and parents. He quickly built up a reputation as being someone who excelled in the physical portion of Cro training, as well as the theoretical nature of strategy, particularly for the navy. Only a few years later, he began to teach unarmed combat, as well as the use of the Longmaw Spear to new recruits. As he was doing so, a particular blood-red Cro caught his eye. He fought with a cruel opportunism that stunned even Ozzulon. Ozzulon quickly focused in on the youth, drilling him harder and more aggressively than any of the others. The two youths struck up a rapport, and Ozzulon slowly realized that this youth was in fact his biological brother. They grew up together, each mastering different disciplines with the vicious desperation of familial competition.
Until that fateful day. Ozzulon had received his first official orders. He was to assist in coordinating the defence of Rosh-Akkhar in the Chrysant War. But as he walked into the war council, sitting among Cro far more experienced than he was, he was overcome with nausea. This had been a game to him up until this point. A delightful little thing that you play to prove that you're better than your opponent, with little wooden soldiers and boats. The idea that every word he spoke was holding the lives of hundreds of soldiers in the balance struck him like a tidal wave. He felt sick to his stomach, cold, numb, like he had been standing out in the rain for far too long. He forced himself to sit through the rest of the meeting, before running back to his quarters, scribbling a note on Zzhao's bedside with his claws, and throwing himself out into the night.
The rain was beating down hard. It was monsoon season, and the wind whipped the water droplets as though it was desperate for them to yield blood as they lashed across Ozzulon's skin. He ran and ran and ran, down to the cliffside where the lines of battle had already been drawn. Everywhere he looked he saw Al-Allar filling bottles with a grim expression on their faces, Mu-Allar sharpening weapons, steeling themselves for the fighting ahead, and Sa-Allar setting up barricades. He couldn't stand to look at them for a moment longer, and he ran on, down and down the goat-path down the cliff. Suddenly, with a rapid shifting of the rocks underneath his clawed feet, the pathway gave out, sending him hurtling off the cliffside, down, down, into the dark waters below. He blacked out as he hit the salty sea, the only thought in his head, of the disappointment his brother must be feeling as he reads Ozzulon's note.
And then, he awoke, in a sandy lagoon, surrounded by the most.. peculiar fish-people. He was terrified at first, ready to fight for his life, but soon enough, he and the Maiar (for that's what they were) struck up an uneasy peace, even with the Maiar only sharing a cursory knowledge of Common (largely gained from their interactions with the Regalian Navy). Soon enough, he was working among them, fishing from atop of a woven reed raft while they drove the fish up towards him. They lived for many years like that, in mutual companionship, the Maiar teaching him their ways and their history, and Ozzulon living amongst them like one of their own. Only when they began to turn feral and slid back beneath his waves, he was forced to move on. He travelled back to Rosh-Akkhar, seeking out his brother, but all he found was dishonor and shame there. His brother had already moved on, travelling to Regalia. Ozzulon took it then upon himself to follow him, spending the last of his money on passage over. What will happen next? Will he regain his injured honor? Will his time amongst the Maiar make him a better Cro? Only time will tell.
