The Imperial Marshal Cabinet is a platform created for military centered roleplay characters who specifically invest in Marshalry proficiency points for the purpose of acting as Generals in Regalian Wars and Conflicts. In recent years, characters who wanted a strictly military archetype have had little in the way of day to day roleplay in Regalia bar the odd mention here and there that they were in fact a General or Tactician. This is all set to change with the establishment of this particular State Sanctioned and Specialized Military Cabinet that encompasses a selection of qualified Generals and Admirals to govern over conflicts Regalia has an interest in, engage in Military Tribunals, negotiate and propose treaties relating to the War efforts and prepare Military legislative proposals for the Emperor to consider. Naturally, there are going to be realistic military-esque restrictions as to whom can join. For example, official membership of the cabinet is exclusive to:
  • Graduates of the School of Marshalry in Regalia itself ;
  • Graduates of the School of Admiralty in Regalia itself;
  • Holders of any Marshal or Admiral experience.
  • Minimum age of 20.
However, there are some exceptions to the above and these exceptions generally relate to the single frontline advisor each General may have in the room with them during Cabinet meetings. The General is responsible for his own advisor and will be judged by the other generals for the caliber, appropriateness and general etiquette (As well as the advisor's race and gender). The only stipulation is that the advisor have a reasonable proficiency (15+) in either Front Line Command or Admiral Command (As applicable to the main General/Admiral).

The Imperial Marshal Cabinet ties in with the Imperial Court, and the Generals may earn Court favor for their respective Houses based on a variety of different factors (battle performance, etiquette, quality of input etc) giving males another avenue of attempting to impress the Imperial Court and gain notoriety and the rewards that come with such.

The Imperial Marshal Cabinet was established in the early weeks of 307AC by Emperor Alexander Kade with the intent to provide a more concentrated focus of Regalian Military pursuits. Governed by William Howlester, the Cabinet comprises Regalia's top Noble Generals whom are expected to ensure victory abroad and to maintain a strict military etiquette and repertoire within the city, befitting that of a proud and organised military structure. The Marshal Cabinet is open to Generals and Admirals to apply immediately, all that is required is that a letter be sent to Imperial Marshal Representative William Howlester detailing the characters age, experience in war and where they graduated. The approved Generals are then responsible for recruiting their own advisors and retinues where applicable.

  1. GRRR Why are women not allowed?!

    To create the appropriate ambiance for the group and to reflect the conservative nature of the Regalian Military and current social climate. Does this mean that women will never be allowed to join? Not at all, in fact the hope is that there will be a pro-women military movement, but we'll see how that goes.
  2. Im a non-ailor, can I join?

    As an advisor; yes, as a General no. However, Advisors can theoretically outdo their Generals and reap the reward from such.
  3. I have a noble army, can I use my levies instead of State Troops?

    Yes, but not in a capacity that represents the Regalian Military. Your character will be governing private excursions and naturally leave their lands open to attack at home should they take a large portion of their army with them.
  4. Why is the group so restrictive?

    To create conflict. The group is not restrictive because it reflects my views, but rather to give characters something to work toward/respond to.
  5. Will there be war progression sign ups for non-military command characters?

    Most certainly. In fact, separate smaller groups, such as the Skaggers and Viridians will have specialized missions that the schools can fight over for glory.
  6. Will we have *gasp* Uniforms?

    Absolutely
